I thought I had a Bee problem so I called my monthly exterminator Sentinel in Mission Viejo. they told me to give Sean a call. what a nice guy. fair honest and reasonably priced. he said I did not have a Bee problem! and explain to me the trees they were coming from … only use him in the future look no further Big or small job.‼‼‼‼

Sean help me setup a bee hive and I was so happy with it, I decided to get a second one. Nice guy, I’d recommend to anyone needing help removing or starting a new hive!
Update:
Since I’ve had a few weeks to learn more about beekeeping and the hives I received, I’d like to give an update. I paid 185.00 for one hive originally. Sean decided to give me a second hive just in case the first hive didn’t make it. I thought that was really nice of him and in fact it was probably a good gesture. Unfortunately one of the hives didn’t make it in less than a week. The hive that didn’t make it actually didn’t have a queen. When we originally inspected it, he said he’s sure the queen is in there but couldn’t find it. The other hive was very very small now compared to the price I paid. Nucs are generally 110 for a full 5 frame hive with healthy queen. The hive that made it was less than 3 frames full with very few bees.
Since the bonus hive died I called up Sean to get another hive because I liked the idea of having two hives to compare. He sold me another hive that was $ 125.00. This hive was larger than the first two and the bees I could tell were from different genetics. Some bees were different colors.
Now onto the queens. I asked both times if the queens were young. At that time I didn’t know much. Simply accepted his answer that they were young and healthy queens. The third hive had some aggressive bees so I decided to requeen her. In fact I purchased 2 queens just in case and requeen both hives. What I didn’t know back then I found out within a few days. After requeening, the new queens laid SOOOO many eggs. With the old queens I had a bunch of cells that were just empty. I didn’t see any new eggs but I did have larvae that capped brood so I thought I just had an issue finding eggs. After I requeen both hives with Italian’s in just a 3 – 4 days, all the cells that were empty had eggs in them. Even cells that weren’t completely finish had eggs in them.
I’m sure now that the queens I received were old or had bad quality genetics.
In closing, I felt that I overpaid for what I got. Definitely overpaid. It was my fault for not knowing more about the bees I was receiving and checking for cells with eggs with a strong queen. I was just so happy to get started. Sean is a nice guy and I’m sure if you use him for removing bees he would do a great job. But if you are starting a hobby in bee keeping, you’d probably do better buying from a true apiary with good genetics. And make sure you get the appropriate amount of bees for what you are paying for.

There are many exterminators who advertise «bee removal» but just kill the bees, and there are also well-​intentioned beekeepers who know bees but don’t know the mechanics of getting into a structure to get the bees out and keep them out. Sean is a top notch beekeeper who knows how to remove AND relocate bees, and he also has the construction experience to do what it takes to remove bees from tough locations such as attics or under sheds.
For a very fair price he made two visits to our home to stage a complicated bee removal and relocation. He opened up the floor of our big yard shed and removed a large and well entrenched hive, and skillfully relocated the queen and hive to one of his hive boxes. He returned the next day at sun down as almost all the bees had found their way to the new hive box, and relocated the bees effectively and safely. He also gave me practical and effective steps to prevent the bees building a new hive in the same location.
So the hive was relocated instead of exterminated, and my shed is now bee-​resistant! We are very satisfied with Schwab Apiaries.

Sean removed a bee hive for me a few months ago. I called him in the morning and he was able to come the same day in the afternoon. Since he does not harm bees, it took him 2 days to get them out of my yard. But why harm them if you don’t have to? I preferred not having pesticides in my yard too so it was perfect for me. He did it for a very reasonable price and he also brought some organic honey for us to taste. Yum!

Sean removed a bee hive from our attic and he did a great job. He needed to remove the roof tiles, cut a hole in the roof and then he removed the bees, he knew what he was doing. He sealed and restored the roof He is hard working, (90 degrees today). The price was very reasonable. Sean is friendly, dependable, and I would recommend him to anyone.

sean was great and very thorough. he removed both bees and nest with out a hitch. to his suprise the bees didn’t all get into his crate so he had to come back and take them during the day. we live clear on the other side of the county from him, so its no easy feat to just drive on over to say «i’ll have to come back». we are totally grateful that the bees are gone, especially my neighbor.

Although he works primarily with honey bees, Sean recently removed a hornets nest from underneath my daybed on my rooftop patio. In case you didn’t know, those things are HUGE! I was in a sheer panic before I found him on Craigslist. He was able to come that same afternoon and got the job done in an efficient and timely manner. On top of his reasonable pricing, he was also kind enough to carry the daybed downstairs so that other hornets would not come back and rebuild their colony. I can appreciate that Sean simply relocates the bees as opposed to killing them. He also brought by some of his delicious honey. I highly recommend Sean’s services to anyone having issues with bees in Orange County and the surrounding areas.

Sean Schwab is the best bee man ever! After contacting several other bee guys that had no idea how to do this kind of job we found Sean on Craig’s List. We had two large bee hives inside the pillars of our block wall. Sean responded right away and totally understood how to get this job done right. He not only knows everything about bee’s, he has a back ground in construction. He came out to our house, gave us a bid that was very reasonable and came a few days later to do the job. It turned out my bees had been here for years and the hives were huge! He estimated we had 10,000 bees and it looked like more to me. He carefully took the block wall apart and collected the bees into a new hive box with their honey comb and later he vacuumed up all the bees and took them with him. We felt good knowing he kept the bees for his honey operation and used no poison. It was amazing to watch and he worked all day and into the night to get it all done. He spent a lot of time answering all our questions and the whole thing was a great learning experience for us. He even gave us a jar of his fresh organic honey and it’s the best we have ever had. He finished the job by filling the pillar with sand so the bees are gone for good. Don’t waist time with anyone else, Sean is the bee man!
