Quite possibly the best experience I’ve ever had ordering online, and I’m a Zappos VIP and Amazon Prime kind of online shopper.
After placing my order, Necia called me to let me know the flowers I requested weren’t available. I shared my vision with her, and she created magic for my mom’s birthday!
I loved the whole process, truly extraordinary customer service!

I contacted the Petal People because I needed a sympathy arrangement prepared and dropped off within an hour near the shop. I wasn’t able to stop in to make the order. So, everything was over the phone with Nesia. She helped me tremendously. I told her what I needed, and she also helped me «think» of what I needed. Lol… I was stressed and was doing a favor for my mother, and on top of it, I had a short period of time to accomplish. Nesia was calm and her suggestions were right on. I just trusted that she would do a great job based on Unilocal reviews. So, I was going in blindly and I am glad that I found this florist. She managed to make time to take a picture and send it to me and the arrangement was beautiful!!! I would definitely recommend them!

The best flower arrangement and service I have ever had. They listened to my ideas and what I was going for and they were thoughtful, patient and very kind in their suggestions. The arrangement took my breath away. I couldn’t believe how absolutely gorgeous it was, especially considering all my «specifications». Wow! I was scrambling around just this last Sunday morning to have a gift delivered to my mom’s for her birthday — on that very day — not so easy on a Sunday and definitely few options available. About two hours into my effort and not satisfied with any of the limited options I gave Necia (Petal People Florist) a call based on Unilocal reviews. Not only did she promise me she could put something together and deliver within a few hours but she gave me choices from the available flowers she had on hand and she probed me for the bouquet style I thought my mom would like. Furthermore, she provided me the baseline price which was affordable and she didn’t push me to spend more — I was able to spend more at my own discretion and not based on coercion. She was clear and precise over the phone and in discussing the details. I greatly appreciate this.
My mom is not an easy person to please. She is Dutch and she has high standards, especially when it comes to floral arrangements. Well, last night she emails me about the beautiful flower arrangement she received and today she calls me and further conveys that the arrangement was impressive to her.
Oddly, I had not forgotten my mom’s birthday, I just couldn’t figure out what to get her during the proceeding weeks and all the way up to the morning of — leading to my classic mastery of ‘procrastination’. In fact it’s amazing I’m posting this review only one day later from ordering from Petal People. Necia — not only did you provide my mom a moment of pleasure but you rescued me from hours and days of indecision and ultimately reckless delay and guilt — you made it so everything worked out far better than it should have. Necia, you did it again! Your flowers, bridal bouquet and arch for my wedding last year were BREATHTAKING and now the tropical arrangement and orchid leis for my Dad’s Hawaiian Luau birthday party were just as beautiful! You are a skilled floral artist and I will call you again soon!

Excellent florist! I very rarely take the time to post reviews but I was so impressed I had to. My best experience ever having flowers delivered. The customer service is great. The flowers were delivered when expected and looked great! The arrangement was better than I expected for the price. Do yourself a favor and use Petal People for your next floral purchase.

Necia is a wonderful florist with a beautiful eye for design and extensive knowledge of flowers. My wedding centerpieces were PERFECT, and Necia patiently helped us through the design process, even though my mother and I had a hard time reaching consensus. My floral crowns were beautiful and my bridal bouquet totally gorgeous. We got so many complements, Thank you!

Excellent florist!!! I have a hard time making decisions and don’t really know my flowers. All I really told Necia was to make it beachy and match my colors. She went above and beyond and made the flowers the perfect color and they were absolutely beautiful!!! Everyone loved them and she was great to work with. She takes her job really seriously, which is much needed in a florist.

I stopped sending my wife flowers years ago because I could not find a suitable florist in the Mission Viejo, Irvine, Lake Forest area. By reading the reviews here on Unilocal I tried them out.
For some reason my flowers were delivered a day early, I called Neica and she made everything right. She personally drove the correct bouquet to my house, talk about customer service. My wife was very happy and I felt that I got my money’s worth.

I was looking for an express delivery for a bouquet of flowers to deliver to a friend in Foothill Ranch and the Petal People Florists showed up on my search results.
With a quick phone call on my 10 minute break, I was able to place an order in with Necia. She was lovely and helpful in assisting me with choosing flowers over the phone. I stuck with a variation of the girly bouquet displayed on their website. Prices were reasonable and I ended up paying 45 dollars altogether for delivery and a good sized bouquet.
A gorgeous arrangement arrived that same afternoon. My friend loved the flowers and I loved the service. Thank you Necia and the Petal People!

This place knows one thing and knows it well. … Flowers. .No not like my uncle Jose knows flowers, selling them on the side of the freeway, I’m talking about real quality bouquets. The type if bouquets that will you laid or make your wife forget about the time you got wasted in Vegas (sorry)… Awesome place, thanks guys for the flowers!

Wow! I placed an order for a sympathy bouquet with Necia and I can’t believe how friendly and helpful she was! Not feeling very confident in my knowledge of flowers she was able to decipher what I wanted from a few questions I answered. But her help did not stop there! She then gently offered help with the thoughtful message to write on the sympathy card, so appreciated the help!

The Petal People Florist is one of the best florists out there. Necia is a very trustworthy, honest, and talented designer and business owner and I am grateful to have done business with her. She has been doing business for several years which has given her plenty of knowledge and experience to handle any occasion or request. She may not have a big fancy store front but that in no way hinders her ability to exceed expectations in all ways. She is a wonderful person to work with, her designs always impress, and her cost is reasonable. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for an excellent reliable florist in Lake Forest!

We’ve used Petal People Florist twice for funeral flowers. Both times we gave Necia very short notice because it’s impossible to predict when people will pass away. To our surprise, she delivered beautifully arranged flowers on both occasions that met our expectations. The prices were reasonable for the quality and scale of her work.
Here’s how we placed our order:
1. Called Necia and used her website photos to describe what type of flowers we need.
2. Asked her what message to write and got some great suggestions from her.
3. Gave her delivery address, delivery time, credit card info, and email.
4. Got a total quote from her.
5. After flower’s been delivered, she sent over 2 photos of our flowers with receipt via email.
All of this was done without ever leaving my desk at work. We saved so much time on visiting various flower shops, checking out selections, asking about prices, etc. Necia’s service has been great and very professional!

I ordered an arrangement for a friend who’s grandfather passed away, and I was really impressed not only by the arrangement, but by the service as well. I hate ordering flowers online because they never come out as pictured. Since I’m not familiar with Irvine which is where the service was, I had no choice. This place had good reviews so I thought I’d give it a shot. I called and spoke to Necia and she was very helpful. I told her what my budget was and she emailed me a few pictures to give me an idea of what they would look like. The flowers turned out beautiful! She even sent me a picture of the final result. Definitely $ 100 well spent!

Petal people did the flowers for my wedding in August 2011. Everything turned out amazing… I met with the owner 5 weeks before the wedding and she had numerous pictures of bouquets and table centerpieces for weddings that she had done in the past. I was able to look through the photos with her and she got an idea of what I was looking for. She was open to using pictures that I found online as well. Everything turned out beautiful. As I walked around the wedding venue I saw my guests pointing and discussing the centerpieces, and I received many complements on how beautiful they were. Great prices and great service! Thank you!

Petal People Florist is the shop that delivered my flowers for Valentine’s Day. The boyfriend had called around to all the shops in the area to find out if they deliver to my office (as my workplace has rather tight security), and Petal People Florist was the only one that did.
In terms of customer service, I think the shop definitely went above and beyond to make sure the boyfriend was satisfied with the order. As anyone might guess, Valentine’s Day can be rather hectic for a flower shop. And even though their Vday merchandising consisted of mostly rose arrangements, they made a special exception to let him place a custom order consisting of purple tulips and white calla lilies, despite the fact that it was their biggest sales day of the year. Plus, the flowers were timely delivered to the office right after lunch (some shops don’t even make their deliveries on the day).
The flowers were gorgeous. The florist added a personal touch to the bouquet with a little felt heart around the vase. It did look a little tacky (in contrast to the modern design of the arrangement), but it is Valentine’s Day after all. =)
Valentine’s Day is one of those occasions that easily reveal whether a flower shop is worth your business. I’ve heard too many stories of Vdays gone disastrous with dead or never arrived flowers. And I think Petal People Florist showed itself as one committed to great quality and outstanding service. Good job!
