«We know how to teach your child math.»

Our trained math instructors make math make sense to your 2nd to 12th grade child, wether they need help catching up, are struggling to keep up or want to get or stay ahead. We explain math concepts in a caring, encouraging environment that helps kids thrive and learn!

Our assessment process pinpoints your what your child knows and what they still need to learn. Then we design a customized learning plan and we continually check to make sure kids truly understand and retain the concepts we’ve taught. The results are transformative and you’ll see measurable changes in attitude, confidence, and school progress.

We help your child overcome homework frustration since we don’t create extra homework for your child, but do provide homework help so your child understands the concepts thereby eliminating homework frustration.

Meet the Business Owner

J Steve S.

Business Owner

Steve graduated from DePaul University from the Honors Accounting Program with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and later received his law degree from DePaul. One of Steve’s main passions in life is teaching children. He has been a little league baseball coach since college and enjoys coaching his own two boys in baseball. Steve brings that passion to Mathnasium — hoping to influence and enrich the lives of children through nurturing a passion and appreciation for math. Most students simply need more focused instruction in order to excel. «The Mathnasium method achieves this and much more, due to the richness and breadth of the Mathnasium curriculum.» Through Mathnasium, Steve is excited about being able to teach math to children in a way that makes sense to them. He also looks forward to teaching children the importance of strong study skills, which will serve them in subjects beyond math as they make their way through high school and on to college.
