They carry some good items, but way too expensive for a consignment store. You might as well wait for brand new stuff to go on sale at the mall then buy the used clothing from here for the same price.

I walked in and walked right out this place is ridiculously priced and the quality is subpar. You are better off going to Children’s Orchard or Target. They had the nerve to sell a small package of Huggies wipes for $ 4.

After reading all the positive reviews her, I walked out disappointed. The prices were near-​retail ($ 50 for a B. Toy activity cube which retails at Target for $ 59). The prices on clothing were also high. ($ 7 for an Old Navy toddler dress. Wait for an Old Navy sale and get one new for $ 5.)
I brought in a big bag of high quality clothes but the woman working at the front told me they were already well stocked and didn’t need clothes. I returned the bag to my car and started looking for pajamas. They had almost none. So much for being well stocked! I also brought in my Bright Starts tummy time mat which was originally bought for $ 40. It’s in mint condition. They offered me $ 2 and change. No thanks.
With all the kids consignment stores we already have in Orange County, this place would have to do better to win by business or stand out in the crowd.

Came in here one day with my wife coz I get my hair cut next door. At first we thought it’s just a salvation army like. This store is so nice, very well organized and boutique looking. When you come in, you will notice they have brand new stuff. The store itself is clean and smells good. They also have great selection of maternity clothes! Yes! They have maternity clothes and they carry branded item like A pea in the pod. They have plenty of good condition baby gear. They have a rolling rack next to the counter where the seasonal items and COLLECTIONS are.
My wife bought a baby shoes, clothes, and kids accessories for our daughter and her Goddaughter. It’s a great price! Not to mention they have clearance bins in the back of the store. Also, maternity clearance bin next to the maternity clothes.
We have a good experience here! Especially the owner is very friendly and helpful. Definitely, going to comeback here!!!

Love the owner here, very nice and friendly. She takes my stuff when I’m there to wait around and gives better prices for my items than the orchard. Clothes are store credit which works when I need something in particular. Call ahead of you have larger baby items to see if they need them or not. Small space but a lot of selection with typical consignment pricing.

The only reason I sold her all of my stuff (in nearly new condition) was because I didn’t want to look cheap and I felt pressured to because I drove out there and stood for an hour as she went through everything. Also the owner was really nice. Some of the stuff I brought in wasn’t on the table at the end and I feel really horrible once I remembered the stuff. I brought so many big ticket items. Literally pennies on the dollar. I know people need to make money but I just wanted to warn other mothers to have the courage to JUST WALK AWAY. If I could go get my stuff back I would.

Off the top of my head, it’s all I remember. Many of those items I purchased for about $ 40-​$ 50 new and only used once or twice. I believe in being fair and all I got was $ 50 cash and $ 23 store credit. I could have sold my damn ergo for that much on facebook selling sites :(I purchased $ 18 worth (used wood puzzle, used crocs) and will not be going back. So, ladies, if you need any of the stuff listed above I’m sure she can afford to give you a great price because I got screwed.
I TRIED to look at it as getting rid of stuff that wasn’t important and taking up space in the house and for convenience. But after an hour or so I just couldn’t take this heavy negative feeling. I would have rather garage saled everything or donated to someone who needed it rather than feel like I got taken advantage of like this.
As for the shopping side. I wouldn’t shop here. The clothes look like any other used clothing store and your hands feel sticky when done looking through things. I would only get the few items on the table that were new.

Sold a ton of stuff here and only got $ 17 from it. I could have gotten much more for it from another kid consignment store where I used to live. Kind of bummed. Don’t think I’ll go back in. Clothing section wasn’t great. Nicely decorated and a lot of cute new boutique type items.

LOVE the Buttercup Exchange!!! My husband and I are parents-​to-​be this July 2015. The owner — Jesmine is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and very supportive about the whole baby buying process. I really appreciated her input and patience with us. We ended up buying a great Armsreach Beige Bassinet and a Fisher-​Price Green swing, both in great condition. Great customer service. Great deals on baby supplies. Hope to be back for a stroller or more. :)

What a gem! I happened upon this cute shop while in the area. It had the best selection of baby and maternity items, new and used! I even saw some higher end items; a Petunia Picklebottom diaper bag, Baby Bjorn carriers, baby Toms and a Bugaboo stroller just to name a few! The selection and prices are great, the store is laid out well and the owner is wonderful! You will find something here, highly recommended!

If you haven’t been to Buttercup, you need to check it out! I was looking for something unique for my niece’s 1^st birthday and was impressed with the great selection of merchandise. The whole store is very well curated and I like that there was new items too! The woman who helped me was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

This store is extremely cute. They have all the right inventory. If you’re looking for new to gently used, clean and high end things for babies and toddlers, this is the place to be! The owner is wonderful and so helpful. Such a sweet woman. Thank you Buttercup for all the adorable things that I’ve purchased. Definitely returning to shop soon!

I’m currently 6 months pregnant and was out shopping one day looking for some maternity clothing at some of the bigger name department stores. I came across BE on Unilocal and so my mom and I decided to stop by.
What a lovely little boutique store! They had a great selection of maternity jeans (purchased 1 pair along with a dress) and nice baby furniture, clothes and accessories. The owner was very helpful and nice. I’ll definitely be coming back once our little one arrives to include as part of my shopping from here on out.

One of the loveliest baby resale boutiques I’ve ever been to! They have tons of great quality items for great prices. Towards the front of the store they have new items from local artists & the rest of the store is consignment type.
Immediately you notice the shop is very *clean* which really stands out from other stores like it. The owner is really great & there is tons to do in the same plaza! Just park, put your baby in the stroller, and you have yourself an afternoon!

Conveniently located off the 5 fwy on El Toro road! My mom and I stopped in to check it out and I couldn’t help but notice the watercolor artwork displayed on the wall. It was of my fave Disney character, The Little Mermaid! And it’s done by a local artist! This place has adorable clothing for little ones, plus those cute leather baby moccasins that are all the rave right now! A lot of my friends just had babies so I’ll definitely be back to pick more items up for gifts!

Great gem in Lake Forest! Purchased a pair of baby moccasins. Good inventory of new and slightly used items for babies and mothers to be. Friendly and attentive staff! I will definitely be coming back.

Just opened a week or two ago and the selection is good now, and likely to get even better as they grow. Nice quality stuff and a really cute setup – more like an upscale resale shop. And adorable (full-​price) brand new Tea Collection clothing too. Will be back!

Buttercup Exchange is such a great store! They have a variety of really nice quality and clean merchandise. They have both new and almost new to choose from. The baby moccasins are the cutest things you will ever see! And great prices to top it all off!

What a great concept for a baby store. I was having lunch in the area when I saw the new store. They had high quality new and resell baby items and I picked up the cutest moccasins for my niece. I started following the store on instagram to see what new items they receive. Definitely worth checking out.

I was shopping for that hard to buy friend for her baby shower. Wanted to find that unique one of a kind stand out item, this was the place. Got a great onesie and a cute picture for the nursery. Great selection great pricing. Highly recommend!
