Specialties

We are one of the Largest Indoor Bars at the Jersey Shore. We can accommodate any kind of party, benefit, fundraiser, concert or music festival. We offer weekly live music, an outdoor tented patio bar and Saturday Raw Bar, Daily Kitchen Specials, and plenty of onsite parking.

Paul’s Tavern has reinvented itself and thrived not only as the largest indoor bar in Lake Como, but one of the largest bars at the Jersey Shore. Several renovations and expansions have been done throughout the 36 years since Paul’s has opened its doors, and we continue to serve and accommodate our Jersey Shore customers 365 days a year.

Our venue can be rented out to facilitate party sizes up to 1000 guests. We are the premier spot for the annual Belmar St. Patrick’s Day parade which is celebrated the first Sunday in March. We are also one of few venues that offer outside Live Music, featuring the best local bands around the Jersey Shore.

History

Established in 1979.

Paul’s Tavern has been owned and operated by the Heaney family since 1979 when the original bar and property was purchased from Sedan’s. The first of several expansions were done in 1987. In 1992 the outside Beer Garden was replaced with a traditional log cabin to accommodate the thriving Jersey Shore tourism and nightlife.

In 1993 the adjacent house and property were purchased. The house was knocked down and the second cabin was built, including a kitchen which continues to serve light bar fare today. Behind this structure a tented Patio Bar was put in place, including spacious seating and flatscreen TVs for outdoor enjoyment.

In April 2013, the original cabin was renovated. The stage was expanded and professional lighting was installed creating an extensive and vibrant venue for all kinds of live music. The cabin was changed to the «Sound Garden» and continues to host music festivals, live bands and DJ’s, receptions, and all types of benefits and fundraisers. Many of the areas best
