L’Auberge Casino Hotel Lake Charles

This place is horrible. While we were there an employee entered into our room and stole money and watched us while we slept. When we complained to security that kicked us out like we were trash. Mary Mitchell asked if she could contact me to help fix the problem. Instead of her calling I got a call from Jerry Forester. Jerry Forester in Risk Management from L’Auberge just called me and threatened me that if I keep talking about this that it was going to go a bad way. (I wonder what that means). He screamed at me. When I tried to talk he laughed at me. I asked him why it was funny. He said well its not that our employees don’t do bad things, but the employees at the isle do bad things, the employees at Coushatta do bad things, and the employees at the Golden Nugget do bad things. He said while he knows that someone entered our room he doesn’t think anyone would steal from us or watch us sleep. He agree that is was bad that no one bothered to call us back. He said that maybe I should get an attorney because they have to by company policy tell me that even though an employee entered my room for no reason that is must have not been to steal from us or to watch us sleep. Security themselves told us that an employee entered our room on the first night. Now we didn’t let anyone in and they claimed it was at 2:30 so that was when we were sleeping. Go at your own risk. Thanks Jerry Forester from being a jerk and making me cry.

I like lauberge very much very nice interior and great selection of stores. The food here is pretty good, the buffet here is far better than GN’s, they have recently added more seating throughout the entire place. Also currently remodelling Desserts into a Modern Pantry where you can buy sandwiches gelato pjs coffee it is said to be a 24 hour place! Also right now the VIP area on the casino floor has been renovated and the servers have pretty new dresses. In the new VIP area they serve light appetizers. I always have a great time here and also I heard something about the pool or lazy river being renovated also.

Beware of housekeeping my Radar was left in the room and somehow missing. Lock up your items security was less than helpful.

Loved it, but beware… I got contracted an e-​coli kidney infection from their lazy river a few years ago

Lost a hundred bucks. It’s all for the show… Just came from the Golden Nugget. Saturday nights are fun if you’re not tripping on spending a little cash flow

Too smokey, below average food at the restaurants I visited favorites and jack Daniels.
I was happy with gym, it’s super spacious and has quite a number of cardio machines and weights.
I don’t gamble so can’t comment on the gaming floor. I did see the standard old people spending the social security on slots though.

I loss money. What else can I say? The room was decent in size. The electronic craps table was kind of cool.

This is always a fun place to go. The staff is friendly and the drinks and food places are excellent.

Very nice casino I’ve always enjoyed visiting. Very upscale compared to the other local resorts in my opinion. The rooms are well maintained and the staff is receptive to any requests. The casino floor is spacious with plenty of room to walk and get around.
Within actual walking distance of the much newer GN casino next door, I’ve visited both and L’Auberge is just more my taste in its size and amenities. The golf course is fantastic and the onsite eating establishments are good to great. The pools and the outdoor areas are top notch. The comps are a little harder to achieve than some of the other area-​wide casinos, but what you get for them is worth the wait.
Grab that four-​leaf clover and try your luck some time, I recommend the place for sure.

This casino is very nice. They have up-​to-​date slot machines and the ambience is energetic. I’ve been here several times and lost money most of those times… but have always enjoyed myself.

This weekend was a celebratory occasion for my friend’s birthday weekend, and I was happy to visit Lake Charles to take in the casino life!
The presidential suites are Ah-​Mazing!!! The rooms are decorated beautifully, has a clean look, and super spacious! The front desk team, housekeeping, and turn down service was Exemplary!
The pool scene was equally nice and had a tranquil feel to it. I especially love the Adult Area with the cabanas!
Your team pulled out the red carpet for my friend and the service was top notch! I will be coming back in the near future! Thank you for your hospitality!!!

I was so upset about our latest trip to this casino. We usually enjoy very good service however this time was just a mess…
We couldn’t get any help from the staff and when we brought our concerns to the manager they pretty much blew us off.
We went over to the Golden nugget and were treated the way we should have been at the other casino.
They have lost our business permanently and I will never go back to this casino again.
Very very disappointed

Despite a great start to our night, I’m truly unsatisfied with my experience tonight.
Right about 12:45am when trying to cash out the slot machine screen read «hand pay only, find cashier asst,»
The servers had gone down causing ALL of the slot machines to go in this mode.
While this was all happening, not a single person was informing the guests of any information at all. Pretty soon every guest was stuck at their machines unable to cash.
By 2:30am clerks finally came out to write out ticket vouchers to give us our money back. (That’s 15 min before we had to be back on our bus!)
The biggest disappointment was that my payment was rounded down! And I know I wasn’t the only one. I was told «it’s just 52 cents!» And sure it may be for me but if this is happening to all of us, how much money did they just steal by rounding down?
2 hours completely wasted, and lauberge handled this incident in an unprofessional manner.

We were locked out of our room. E called 3 times and no one came up. It took forever to get in our room. I would highly recommend Golden Nugget. They don’t treat customers this badly.
House keeping was also lacking.
We did enjoy the restaurant.
The pool had no chairs for everyone.
This hotel needs work

Came with the family for the July 4^th weekend. The quality of this place dropped significantly since the last time I’ve been here.
We got a non-​smoking room, however you can smell the smoke scent throughout the floors and the room. Overall, it was a clean decent room.
The restaurants wasn’t as clean as other casino resorts I’ve been to. The wait times for almost all of the restaurants are ridiculous even if you have the VIP card. Average time was about 1.5−2 hrs. (I understand that July 4^th weekend, there’s a lot of people but knowing that; they should prepare).
In the casino, it seems like the ventilation has been clogged by all the years of smoke because the smell of smoke was extremely strong and unbearing for me. I had to keep walking around to get away from smokers near me. I wish they would have a better ventilation system or limit the areas for smokers. Most limits for the tables are on the higher side for my taste; the cheapest is 25 bucks per hand. But hey, if you are a high baller, its all good.
One of the perks of coming here if you are not much of a gambler is the lazy river and the pool for adults. If you have kids, this is the spot to be. Although it can get a little crowded, it’s my favorite place to be in the morning before lunch.

I had not been back since August 2014. So decided to try again. The first thing I noticed upon check in: (I have been going since 2010) the first time I have ever seen «greeter» type concierge looking people standing at the check in area. «WELCOMING ME BACK» almost to the point of WHOA what is happening. Startling me at first with the enthusiasm but I was glad to see the effort. (Had not seen this effort before the Golden Nugget was put in)
We had a nice suite large, with a bar area, Keurig coffee machine, free water in the in room and a fridge.
I started at the Lantern bar, and every single time I go there those guys are the friendliest and the most outgoing.
DID not go to Glo bar as I was not about to give that another try after the rudeness before and the lack of response from management about the rudeness. However at Lantern had great drinks, made quickly with impeccable service. This is a small area though and is usually crowded. (THESE GUYS NEED THEIR OWN BIGGER AREA)
After swimming for a while, enjoyed the casino. Actually won a few bucks. Had a fabulous dinner at Ember. We had no snafus this time, no interruptions.
Air conditioner was great, room very comfy. Very enjoyable.

This was my first time here at this casino, & it will DEFINITELY be my last time. There were three members of my party, including myself. We didn’t stick together but went our own separate ways in the casino. When we met up later that night, we noticed that NOT ONE TIME WERE WE OFFERED A DRINK while we were gambling, and each of us spent a few hundreds of dollars there. I stayed on the $ 1 machines for a while & a server never approached me. Now I know smoking is allowed, but my goodness it was smokey to me. Everywhere you turned, somebody had a nasty cigarette lit.
The only plus side was the 25 points for $ 25 that new members receive.

Stayed here again this past Monday and Tuesday night. This was the second time I was given two consecutive comped nights for a Mon-​Thurs visit. Hey, I am no high roller as I typically only play about $ 100-​$ 300 per night, so these are great perks for a great resort. Upon check in I was upgraded to a king suite. This was the first time I didn’t face the pool, rather the lake and parking garage. The pool view is far superior. Room was probably about 75sq feet larger than a standard and had a nice sofa and love seat for lounging. The tv was a 55inch versus the standard 42. Other than that, the rooms are not much different. They did have a fridge fully stocked with bottled water which was a nice touch.
Had another nice dinner at Embers. The short rib was good but the truffled Mac & cheese was outstanding. The best part of this place really is the pool area. I spent two afternoons lounging in 80 degree weather and loving the lazy river. The lazy river wasn’t heated, so if felt perfect. I can’t imagine there is a better time of year to visit than late March. The crowds were light, so I felt like I had the whole place to myself. Cocktail service was great and $ 7 for a 20 ounce frozen margarita is about as good as you could expect.
My biggest complaint continues to be the slots which are tighter than any I have ever played. With such high table limits, I may be forced to enjoy Lauberge solely for their great rooms and stellar pool area. Um, I doubt it.

My boyfriend and I have been traveling here for a yearly Christmas-​time trip for the last three years and I have nothing but good things to say about this place.
I’ve been to quite a few casinos and this one is a good one. You honestly don’t even feel like you are in a casino because of how well kept it is. Though the smoke smell will likely tip you off.
The hotel rooms are well kept and maintained. There are a lot of different food options. The service everywhere is always great. The drinks are free while you are gambling. And there are always machines that are available. It’s a fantastic get away spot and you never have to leave the hotel.
Also, everything about this place is so warm and cozy during the Christmas-​time, plus gambling and free drinks! If there is a winter wonderland, to me, this is it.

I have not stayed in the hotel here for years since their opening. So this was an amazing trip.
The casino host Linh was amazing and really nice. The pit boss Phillip was as sweet and nice. The hotel staff was just so nice. Even the security folks were nice and friendly. They greeted you as you came in and was so nice. So overall the staff here were just amazing!
Now the ROOM — OMG get the Palais suite if you can it was just renovated 2 months ago.
As you enter the grand door with accent lighting. You knew you were entering into luxury.
The room is extremely spacious with so many tech advances from a remote that turns on the TV, Lights, and thermostat.
In the room is giant with a huge soaker tube with the water filler coming from the ceiling.
the shower had a rainshower head and other spray. Two beautiful mirrors and one had a TV inlay that was just magical.
The toliet Had two one was a
Bidet.
The TV in the suite is about 70inches. Limited channels. The bed and pillows were heavenly. It even has a air purifier in room.
On the bar area has a mini refrig and Keurig with all different flavors. A beautiful glass sink next to it. And a cash safe in the drawer.
I love the fact of the large sofa, two nice drawer, and two jewelry boxes. We had a nice view of the beach and the pier.
There was a Trolly taking people from this hotel to the golden nugget.
I went there to the golden nugget since it was new. Just like many others and realized that it was beautiful décor and new. But the food was horrible and staff was inexperienced at the Golden Nugget. Customer service there awful so I hurried back to this hotel to get back to my happy place.
