This place is awesome! I have been to Downtown Disney numerous times but somehow never been here. They have a great selection of spices and spice blends to pleae any palate. Not only spices, but sugars and teas. They help is super friendly and will let you smell or taste anything you might be interested in. Be careful on the smelling of the chili blends, they will take you aback! I will be coming here everytime I’m in town!

I was on a mission today to look for the Chef Mickey plush so I thought I would check out Mickey’s Pantry in Downtown Disney® to see if they have it(yes, they do!). I walk into the store and it smells different. I look around and what do I see? Spices and sugars and tea, oh my! The Spice & Tea Exchange(also located in Winter Park) has set up shop in a corner of Mickey’s Pantry! I was greeted by Theresa. A very friendly and knowledgeable employee of the Exchange. She immediately had me sniffing and oooing and ahhing over all of the delicious smelling spice blends. The very first one I sniffed was the Tuscany Blend and that’s the one I ended up purchasing. You can add olive oil to use it to dip bread in but I’m going to try it out on oven baked chicken drumsticks! I will report back on the flavor but I can tell you it smells divine! So do all of the other spice blends I sniff tested. They come in 1-ounce pouches to purchase but there are jars full of the blends so you can smell away. There is a section devoted to flavored sugars as well! Green Chili Sugar anyone? I should have asked for a taste test with a side of water. Maybe next time. I moved on to the tea blends. The Black Chocolate blend caught my eye. It smelled just like dark chocolate! I am going back to buy this one and try it out. It said on the packet«higher caffeine content». Right up my alley, LOL! So the five stars are for presentation, helpfulness of the staff, and everything smelling amazing! I will follow up once I have actually try the Tuscany Blend and when I go back for some tea. Sorry, I was so focused on the heady scent of spices that I totally spaced on taking pictures! I’ll go back soon and snap some pictures to share! Disney Cast Members get a 10% discount. Hopefully they’ll up it to 20% in the future, hint, hint!!! :o)
