Yes, it is really expensive for a very cheap Disney hat, here. But honestly, if you are trying to save money on your Disney trip, you really wouldn’t walk in to a place like this anyway, right?
I’ve been on several «on the cheap» Disney trips. I always leave room for a hat with the kids names on them. It is part tradition and part pixie dust.
The customer service, here, is alway great. One particular staff member, a few years back, really gave us a great photographic memory as he fussed over our daughter and how cute she was.
I use to love that about Disney. The most recent trip we really didn’t have those moments leading me to believe that rumors of degrading Disney service may be true. But the experience at this hat shop was pretty good as it always is.
Right down to it, now. The hat selection is really unbeatable for Disney. You can get your name embroidered in the back section. Just check which hats you can do that with. They are quite expensive. If nothing else, you will have fun trying on hats and maybe snapping a few selfies.

This place is just another part of the Disney experience
How could you miss the opportunity to pick out a pair of ears and get them embroidered with your name on them just like a mouseketeer?
In case you already have a set of ears, they will embroider those for you and you don’t have to buy there.

OK, the price tag may be high. However, take a look around at where you are! Besides, being inside The Magic Kingdom means you get to be a little kid again no matter what your age may be!
Get your kids a hat here and definitely get yourself a hat here! Be a kid right along with your kids! Hats for the whole family, I say!
This hat shoppe is located just as you enter the Park on the right hand side just before you embark down Main Street U.S.A. next door to The Main Street Confectionery.
They have every type of Mickey Ears imaginable. You get to pick the hat and you get to pick the ears, then if you like, you can get your name embroidered on your hat! Yippee! I’m just all about being a kid!
In addition to the Mickey Ears, they have so many other silly hats to choose from — you’ll just have to see them to believe it! So if you’re not in the mood for the standard Mickey Ears, then grab a Stitch Hat, or a Goofy Hat. If it’s your birthday, well, they even have a gigantic Birthday Cake Hat (Candles Included)!
I highly recommend this be your very first stop inside The Magic Kingdom so you can get off on the right foot and be a kid all day.
BTW: They also have a Cast Member inside with buttons they give out, such as: Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary, First Visit, etc.
