We buy used books. All kinds. And we come to YOU. Our trucks are in the Chicagoland area every day, picking up book collections. We send a check for the value, usually the next business day! Our drivers are responsive and punctual. Give us a try if you are downsizing or moving or otherwise need to reduce the number of books you have.

History

Established in 2008.

We started Stick Figure Books after working for 30 years on corporate and non-​profit management. To be honest, we were «done» with the meetings, the reports, the «blah blah blah» of corporate life. After a year of part-​timing it, we made the leap of faith and have managed to survive and grow since then. Our focus is on honesty, customer service, and knowing our stuff.

I was an English major in college. Like many (or at least some), I occasionally fantasized about owning a used bookstore, smoking a pipe, and selling rare and beautiful books to fabulously wealthy customers. It turns out that while some booksellers may operate that way, my niche is mostly providing great service and working really hard. We try very hard to solve your problems, believing that if we do that right, we will be OK.
