Specialties
What flavor is our campground? We offer seasonal and overnight camping for everything from large motorhomes to primitive tent camping.
Much like a chocolate chip cookie, we are the chocolate chips to the Lake Henry cookie. We offer camping, fishing, boating, live music, and multiple opportunities for live animal education.
Beautiful Lake Henry is over 300 surface acres and is the second largest lake in Wayne County, great for fishing and boating.
Our Campfire Music Series takes place lakeside with local musicians and runs every Saturday evening from 8pm to 10pm between Memorial Weekend and Labor Day weekend.
Our animal education includes visits from Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, K&L Creepy Creatures, Delaware Valley Raptor Center and more.
History
Established in 1900.
Clayton Park was originally known as Swoyer’s Landing and operated as a picnic grove and boat livery on a small farm in the early 1900’s. Lake Henry began as Silkman’s Pond and was home to several ice houses and a chair factory. The city of Scranton had a railroad which ran to Lake Henry where city folk could enjoy picnics on Lake Henry. Currently owned and operated by a member of the Swoyer Family, Clayton Park is now a 70 acre vacation departure where we work hard to create a unique experience, at the heart of which are the fundamentals of camping, fishing, and boating.
