Walked in for a pre-dinner drink with my wife. The manager/bartender and waitress were so nice we ended up spending the rest of the evening here. Food was good, staff were wonderful to hang with, and the drinks were reasonably priced… Our new Lahaina fav. Read A couple of negative reviews above, I think those folks might have found what they brought in with them :-)

Terrific place to hang out, have a drink and a little something to eat. The girls behind the bar were very sweet and friendly. It was great to relax and watch the game with such good people. A great end to a great day.

Bartenders were super dope! Pretty much a straight up dive/beach bar with a cool vibe. Just got to Maui single and the ratio was pretty decent, lol but no dancing in Maui?!

We visits this bar often and the staff is AMAZING !! In my opinion MYA is the best bartender on island, no matter how busy or slow the bar is she always gives more Aloha than anyone could ask for . And as of late, the food seems to be getting much better as well . Good service for great price that’s all I need and that’s what I get at spanky’s

This place is for locals. If you are not from Maui, don’t come here. You will be treated poorly by the staff and even worse by the fellow patrons. We came after a wonderful experience at Feast of Lele and unfortunately were greeted by locals that wanted to show that this was their territory and we did not belong there

A lively open air bar on the far side of front street in downtown Lahaina. Our group of nine stopped in for drinks and food to watch the Wisconsin Badgers take on the Trojans in the 2015 Holiday bowl game after finding the bar listed on a packets fan website. We sat a big large table and sampled a number of appetizers including chicken strips(good), tater tots(deliciously crunchy), quesadilla(very cheesy), onion rings(good), and mozzarella sticks which had a nice tangy sauce. We also got a Cesar salad. One nice thing is you can«sumo size» appetizers for just $ 3.95 more. The place wasn’t too busy on a weeknight but still had a good vibe. We had fun.

The best of the best. Bartenders are amaZing, and food is sublime. If you like witty, smart ass humans this is the place to go! Fresh fish, and a hilarious atmosphere. If you need snobby up your butt service, don’t come!

Best sports bar in town! Great food and good drinks. It has a fun atmosphere and hot chicks behind the bar– what more could you ask for. There is also a pool table and the women’s bathroom is by far my fav. I would recommend this place to eat, watch the game, the fight or grab a bite to eat!!!

Best little local bar in town… Hot bartenders, local flavor, leave your tourist trap shopping and pretentious attitudes behind. If you can’t be real, find a fake bar… This isn’t it. Real people, real scene and great staff.

Ok, Spanky’s is NOT The Ritz. It’s a bar. A sports bar with local people and their dogs and saucy servers. I actually never considered writing a review for Spanky’s because it’s pretty straight forward. You go, you order a drink, maybe eat some tacos or something fried and play some pool… not super complicated. However, I feel compelled to write a review because of an extremely negative comment I recently read about this place. The servers here are FANTASTIC! I have eaten here more times than I’d like to admit and I have never, EVER had a bad experience with the staff. I have, on the other hand, experienced many difficult, drunk, obnoxious, snobby, horrible customers that, thank goodness, I have never had to deal with personally. Yes, there are dogs and the bar is often under-staffed and the servers are often over-worked, but if you show them patience and kindness they will reciprocate. And since when was it a crime for someone to buy their friends or customers or total strangers drinks? Quite frankly, if I were working the UFC fights with about 100 crazy-drunk people around, I might be a little short and impatient, too. And contrary to popular belief, the customer is NOT always right, the employees are right. I applaud the servers for standing up for each other. They have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. They have the absolute right to ask you to leave. You can always refuse to tip, that’s your right, too. But keep it together. Slandering these girls on Unilocal doesn’t make you some master restaurant reviewer out to shield the public from bad service… it makes you an a**. Give it a one star review, but please be civil. These are people’s lives and livelihoods.

Came here with my wife and a couple of friends to watch UFC… the place was really busy as expected but only 2 servers working. Our server Maya was extremely rude. I asked her what is your most popular item on menu and she responded«everything is popular» so I asked what’s your favorite and she snaps back at me «Do me a favor, just look at the menu because we’re really busy,» and proceeded to walk away. You couldn’t take 2 seconds to respond courteously? Later on in the night, we wanted to order drinks but Maya was too busy buying shots for her friends(I overheard her saying that she’s buying.) When she finally passed by, I wanted to get her attention so I said excuse me but she kept walking. She came by later afterwards and asked our table«which one of you was yelling at me?» So she did hear me… outrageous! The bar was quite loud and we tried to get her attention but when we got it, it was just endless unwarranted snappy attitude. I have never NOT given a tip in my life but I’ve also never even imagined receiving this type of treatment as a paying customer. Gratuities are to reward good service and is not a given especially after having to put up with Maya’s poor attitude. As such, I wrote beside«Tip» on the receipt, «Treat your customers with respect,» and for the first time did not leave any gratuity. Shortly after Maya collected the bill, I saw a thick-bodied woman storm over to our table and asked«who wrote this?! Was it you?» I replied it was me. She asked«What is your problem?» I was taken away by her blatant crudeness and replied«excuse me? What is MY problem?» And she says«Yes what is your problem?» I explained the situation, how Maya was too busy to give me a recommendation and told me to do her a favor anbehaviourd just look at the menu. She snaps«look around we are very busy and don’t have time and we sure as heck don’t work for free!» Last I recalled, we didn’t eat for free. Then Maya comes over and says«This is my bar and if you don’t like it, you should leave… NOW!» And she proceeded to tell a sketchy fellow to walk us out. Absolutely appalling! We left offended and embarrassed. Never coming back, plenty of other bars to spend our money without having to put up with this outrageous.

When to this bar to watch a football game. Staff less than ambitious to help. Had to flag them down if you wanted a drink or food. They acted pusses off if you asked them to check on your food. When we left and paid our bill some of the food had never arrived. Also the table beside us told us latter they were billed for some of our food and paid for it. I love the dog friendly bars but will probably not return here.

I am giving them 2 stars bc they have the NFL football package, however the food is less then desirable and service is less than par. Food options first off weren’t appealing and almost all fried. Food took forever and was over cooked. Service was just not good. I’ve been a bartender for several years and I guess maybe I just expect to be treated the way I treat my guest. Simple silverware when food comes out and asking how food is might of helped the experience… also if you can’t hold your liquor don’t drink on the job.

Loved the vibe of Spanky’s and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wanted to watch the big game, grab some decent food, drink good beer, and take in the local biker scene. Thought the décor was great. Service was good enough. We had our two underage kids with us and at midday it was perfectly okay for our family.

Came here a year ago and the staff was amazing. Came here this year and the bartender and waitress did t give a fuck to serve us at all… The guy with the beard and staff shirt was awesome!!! Sat here an hour, no one took our order. Went to the bar to order drinks, the bartender was a dick… But, he walked up to other tables and brought them beer and chatted them up. Place was pretty empty. Good way to go out of business. Never ate, no one asked. Enough said. Seemed like shitty bar food.

Okay… so…yeah, I happen to have been to Spanky’s once or twice, or A LOT. I do not, however, work there. So, here’s the thing… don’t walk in and act like an A$$HOLE, and you won’t be treated like one. How about telling the WHOLE story next time? Thanks
