I stopped for a foundation. Store was clean and staff was nice but since I was tanned and didn’t know my real color I waited to buy. Still a good spot for us ladies to check out.

Their phone number doesn’t work. No one answers or calls you back and it just keeps looping you back to the automated service. Annoying. Customer service at this location was excellent. I drive all the way up there from Kihei before work and the manager assisted me with an exchange and then helped me find exactly what I was looking for; she was efficient, quick and extremely helpful. I wish all the Sephora locations provided this level of service. Mahalo!

Great service, staff pleasant. First timer. Returned an item I bought from Ala Moana location, 2 days ago. Here they accepted it with no judgement. I think they didn’t have this in their store yet. Thank you, will be back to look around again.

I’ve been to this Sephora many, many times, but yesterday was the first time I went in for anything other than just to shop. I had a complimentary makeover certificate that I’d gotten in a 500-point reward a few months ago, and it was about to expire. I decided to go and take advantage of it before going to the Patton Oswalt show at the MACC last night. The store was pretty slow(to be expected on a Thursday afternoon), and they were able to start my makeup before my appointment time. A sales associate got me seated, and did the ColorIQ, where they use a special device to find your exact color match in virtually any foundation. Afterward, they were able to link that code to my Beauty Insider account. Neat! After she got me seated, she asked me some questions about what I was looking for, and what kind of makeup I normally used. She reported my answers to the makeup artist, Amethyst, before she started. Amethyst was very sweet, and once she got a feel for what I was looking for, she did a wonderful job, and answered all of my questions extremely knowledgeably. She quickly realized that I was pretty obsessed with makeup, so she explained things in a little bit more of an «advanced» manner from then on. She knew exactly what I meant when I said, «Give me Instagram brows!» The areas that I usually have difficulty with(brows and false lashes), she took extra care to have me watch what she was doing, so I could hope to try it at home. Since I had the complimentary makeover certificate, the usual $ 50 minimum purchase was waived, so I only wound up purchasing the false eyelashes that Amethyst expertly applied for me. She was not pushy about any products, but she did write down what shade she used for just about everything, so I could pick up the products later. The whole thing took longer than the 45 minutes it was supposed to, but that was totally fine– she took her time and made me look great! I felt like a million bucks on my date with my husband last night. The great service at this Sephora will make me think twice before putting in another online order, and make the drive to Ka’anapali instead!

I was excited to see Sephora at Whaler’s Village and I went in to check out some makeup. People there nice. I can’t remember if they ask if I needed help, but I think they did. Oh I think I actually ask them where the makeup remover was. They were nice. Then when I went to checkout my items, and when the girl spoke. I was like omg… Her voice sounded like Cher but more nasaled. Like one of those girls from Bratz that talks like a blonde rich girl. I was like umm I really wanted to get out of there because the way she spoke to me sounded very condescending lol. I was like oh dead god like can she talk normal? I don’t know how people talk like that and I believe she’s Asian. haha

Always helpful customers service ! Not too pushy, but very attentive. I had a lipstick break on me and didn’t have the receipt but they were able to look up my past transactions via my sephora card and exchange it for a new one.

Of course Sephora is the mecca of cosmetics and skincare under one roof and this is a treat for us on Maui. Products are what you would expect to see however service is lacking. Some of the associates are not well versed in the lines they carry and cannot offer useful feedback. If you are looking for assistance in selecting the best products for you, you may be better off researching on your own rather than asking employees at this location.

While on vacation in Maui, I stopped at Sephora in Whalers Village for some Origins moisturizer. Thought I would pick up some nail polish too. WORSTIDEAEVER. The display bottle of a new deep blue color was broken. When I picked it up, the whole bottle of polish fell to the floor and broke, spraying polish all over my legs, shoes and feet. I spent 20 minutes using all of their nail polish remover to clean myself up. No one ever said Oh we’re so sorry, how can we make this right? No one commented that my PINK pedicure and manicure were now ruined by polish remover and my finger tips were stained blue from getting the polish off my legs! None of the clerks even bothered to let the manager know what happened, so when I asked for him/her and she finally appeared, I had to explain the whole story. Rather than sympathizing or apologizing, she asked what I wanted her to do. I said I wanted her to reimburse me for my pedicure. Instead she offered me 10% off the $ 48.00 moisturizer! I told her I really thought it would be the right thing for her to do to cover my time and expense to fix my pedicure. Just comp me the moisturizer. She asked me to wait while she called her area supervised and then said she could offer me 15% off. Am I crazy to think they should have worked with me on this?

We sought refuge in here on a rainy day while on vacation. My boyfriend patiently waited while I looked through the store. The associates, Jenn, Jade and Kim struck up a conversation with us and were all so friendly and helpful. They ended up doing masks on both my boyfriend and I and gave me a mini makeover. This store is not as large as ones on the mainland but they had a decent selection of brands(Urban Decay, Benefit, Too Faced, Stila and Smashbox to name a few). As we were leaving my boyfriend remarked how much fun he had, doesn’t get better then that!

Shopping with a 4% sales tax rate? I’m down! It just encouraged me to get all the products I wanted before, but didn’t want to spend too much money on. Plus, who can’t love makeup shopping in paradise?! The sales associates are very helpful and won’t hesitate to make you samples. Also! If you forgot to pack sunscreen, you can ask for a sample or simply buy the Shiseido urban environment sunscreen which contains SPF42. That’s the one I bought while I was there and it turned out to be a great product. It’s meant for your face and dries to a smooth, matte finish(a great find for sunscreen). They also had a great sale of 50% off sephora by OPI nail polishes. And I believe that sale is still going on, perhaps they’re trying to clear that inventory? And because of that purchase(+ a few other Dior products), I am now a VIB!

I have loved Sephora for many years. Now that it is here on Maui, even better! I just want to take a moment to recognize a stand out employee– Kim, she has been there since the day they opened and helped me on many occasions. I have found her to be knowledgable in every area that I have shown interest in, she is friendly and suggestive– every time I leave, it is with new ideas and dreams of my next purchase.

I am a regular at this location and it is smaller, but they meet my needs(and now I don’t have to drive for an hour to buy some MU!) each time I shop there. I’ve been to many Sephora’s and the customer service here is always great. I notice that every time I shop here I am always given consistent service and they offer samples to me each trip. I also had to return a mascara and I had lost my receipt. The manager just smiled and said not to worry. Loved that! Super sweet employees and management. Mrs. C. – No Sephora carries Carol’s Daugther skincare anymore so why would you write that in your review?(I know, I have to purchase CD’s skincare from the CD website or Home Shopping Network — it’s not even on Sephora’s website.)

This store is significantly smaller than the one at Ala Moana. they do not carry some of the product i need(Carol’s Daughter skin products). Most of the girls working there are super helpful. With the exeption of one Japanese girl. i was hoping she could help me w/make up selections(being japanese myself) but she seemed preoccupied and kept watching the other employees.

I only went back a second time at this location because I had a VIB10% coupon that I used to get my perfume and eye crème. I walked pass a few associates and I was not acknowledged at all. The Sephora at Valley Fair in San Jose/Santa Clara has more friendly associates there that are also more helpful too.

Smaller than the stores on Oahu, but the store was nice, organized, and the employees were very helpful! I actually got helped by two different sales people while shopping(me asking them for help, not them harassing me — don’t you hate that!?). Overall, I enjoyed shopping here mainly because their employees were so friendly and helpful. As far as the products, well, if you’ve been to one Sephora, you’ve been to them all!

Ah Sephora, how I’ve missed you since moving to Maui. Now you’re here, and on the west side — hurray! No more mail order! No more wondering if that purple eye shadow is more powdery or more creamy. No more matching skin tone against a computer screen and hoping for the best. This is major, people of Maui! See you at the skincare counter.
