This was one of our favorite things we did In Maui. We got to see some historic landmarks such as the sugarcane train, and a Buddhist temple that had a huge statue of Buddha, which was awesome. We got to enjoy the beautiful views that Maui offers. Mark was our tour guide and he was great– was a great teacher and knowledgeable about the island, he made us feel safe and comfortable the whole time and memorized our names which made him very personable. We were afraid at first, but after Mark taught us and some practice on top of that, we became Segway pros ! Lol. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Maui, it was very worth it. Time and money well spent :)

What a fun way to see Lahaina! Our tour guide was John and he provided expert training on the Segway and made for a perfect tour guide. The Segways worked perfectly and the company helps to make this a very safe adventure. I think even if you have never been on one before you will have no trouble. The free time at the park was a real bonus as they give you some time to have some fun on your own. The headsets are a plus as your guide is giving you important safety info and some history of the island. Well worth your time to check out this activity

Told to be there at 8:45 a.m. didn’t start our 1.5 hour Segway tour until 9:45 a.m. and got back in 50 minutes. We all felt ripped off. The guide was extremely nice.

Just got back from tour of Lahina with Mark. Had a great time. I had thought I would have trouble but after the lesson and practice had no trouble out on the tour. They make sure you are comfortable before you leave so no harm in giving it a try if you think it might not be for you. Saw parts of Lahina I did not know existed. Bucket list check off!

you would be pupule not to try this! the staff, tom, andrea and mark are very friendly and good. our tour guide, john, was excellent. our first time segwaying and they put all of us at ease with excellent instructions and training. we had the best time ever on maui! the 3 of us… wife amy, niece jessica and myself don would definitely segway maui again! mahalo nui, aloha and a hui hou! a special mahalo to mark for printing out our segway licenses for us special.

On our last day in Maui, my wife and I scheduled a Lahaina Segway excursion for three hours. We had done two other Segway tours previously: one in Hershey and one in Redondo Beach. Given that we had some experience, Mark (our guide) felt comfortable enough with us to take a journey all the way from Lahaina to Kaanapali and back. Then, we went roaming around the town in Lahaina.
All along the way, Mark provided us with information (he had a microphone and we had earpieces) about what we were seeing and experiencing, including many things that one would normally miss when visiting the area. We stopped regularly to stretch our feet and drink water, he provided us with as much shade as possible, we got lots of pictures (including ones we wanted to stop and take at random points, which he was more than willing to accommodate), and he always ensured that we were safe and having a good time. This was easily the best of the three Segway tours we have done to date, and we look forward to doing it again the next time we get to visit Maui. Thanks Mark!

Great experience with Darren & John. They spent about 30 minute ensuring everyone was comfortable operating the segways. Then we went on a tour of Maui. Rode in the streets, learned how to cross a busy intersection, it was everything. I highly recommend!!!

We have only done one other Segway tour, and it was nothing compared to the instruction we received from John.
We were greeted as we arrived and professionally guided through the whole program. You receive the perfect safety instructions, you’re given a helmet, a personal radio and he trains you one at a time.
We had a great time and we always felt safe! I highly recommend this Segway tour!

Definitely would recommend Segway Maui! I had two teenage sons with me who are complete opposites… One is very athletic and one is very risk averse… the time Mark took with my hesitant son really is deserving of 6 stars… I cannot say enough about how much both kids enjoyed this experience!

Let’s be honest, the reason you go on a Segway tour is ride the Segway and get a little local tour information in the process. So as far as the tour goes it’s OK. The tour we took was for Lahaina and while interesting, Lahaina is a small town so the tour itself was kind of sparse. But the Segway riding was fun! Now, I’m only rating what happened on our tour and can’t say that all of the tours were like ours because I am fairly confident in saying that they won’t be. We had some time to kill to make the full time at the end of our tour (2 hour tour), so we got to «free style» in a parking lot near the tour office. I won’t say what we did in the free style time but it was really fun, thanks Scotty (tour guide) for making it fun!

Mark gave us a complete lesson and ensured we were comfortable with the segway. Safety was important to him and a big focus of the training. he was always checking with us along the tour to keep us safe and ensure we were having fun.
Despite all the traffic we navigated around town and heard about historic sites.
I felt like I was in good hands and had the time of my life. Best tour ever. Thanks Mark for the pictures and shirts. Now I cannot wait to tell all my friends about Segway Maui

It was our last day and we need something to occupy our self until our flight later that night. Our friend suggest the Segway Tour at Lahaina. I wasn’t too excited about it as it’s $ 140 just for 2 hours and we have already explore Lahaina prior.
But turn out, it’s pretty fun! It was my first time riding the Segway and its easier than a bike! Keep in mind, you don’t to ride the segway for 2 hours, the first half hour involved watching video, signing paper and practice in the parking lot.
Our tour guide is Scott, he was very friendly and willing to take pictures for us using our camera. The tour itself wasn’t very interesting and the historic sites, but its riding the segway that’s fun. I feel like I was snowboarding on the segway, turing left and right after I get use to it.
Will definitely do this again, but I dont’ know about $ 140, it was quite pricey!

We had lots of fun! We took the adventure segway tour, and it went through, what used to be an old golf course. The views were amazing, and while it was an adventure, we felt safe the entire time. I’d recommend the trip to anyone on Maui for 4 to 5 days.

We splurged and did the Segway tour and have absolutely no regrets. Our tour guide was Mark and it was only my family (my husband and I are in our late 40s and our daughter’s are 18 and 16). We all had a blast.
We did the introduction to the Segway training — which was essential because it really made you feel comfortable about being on it. Mark was extremely patient and knowledgeable. After our training was complete — we hit the road. We been to Maui a few times, but Mark showed us things in Lahaina that we never knew existed — it was great to learn more about the history and culture. We also loved rolling around Lahaina and seeing the town from a new perspective.
Mark was very good at making sure cars saw us and that we had the right away. I never felt uneasy or at risk of being in an accident. I thought Mark was very good at making sure everyone knew we were coming and was very polite and considerate to all the locals — which shows true character.
I would highly recommend taking the Segway tour. It’s a fun way to learn more about Lahaina — and the Segways are a blast — I now want one!

Since this was my first time riding a Segway, I have to admit I was terrified. However, the video plus on hands training by a great tour guide made it super easy and so much fun! What better way to learn in Maui! I’m so happy I did it! I recommend everyone to try it! You won’t be disappointed! If you can ride a bicycle then you can ride a Segway. My husband, brother and sister-​in-​law (me too) have wanted to do a Segway tour for years. Maui Segway was just down the road from us so we booked an afternoon tour. Our guide, Mark, was excellent. He made sure we could start and stop, maneuver around objects and follow all the safety rules before we headed out across the highway and into Lahaina. It was a beautiful day and Mark took us to places we hadn’t seen before. Segways are really fun and pretty easy to use. The office staff is wonderful and caring! Highly recommended!

We called up the morning of and made left a voicemail to see if a tour of the Iao Valley was available. Sure enough around 8:15 am someone kindly called us back and said they would be doing a tour.
We met at the Tropical Gardens parking lot. Our guide was Tom. After signing away our lives he set us up real quick on our Segways. He gave us ample instructions and set up some practice drills to do in the parking lot before we set out.
There was one other guy in our tour. So it was just four of us including the guide. You do ride on the road but Tom was very vigilant about watching for cars. You also wear neon yellow vest so pretty hard not to see. Helmets are also required.
We road our Segways up the Iao Needle park. We had the chance to get off Segways and walk up to the look out as well as the small paths. We stopped at the gardens on the way back to conclude the Segway tour. Tom was terrific. He is very knowledgeable about Iao Valley and Hawaii. He had great suggestions. Most importantly he made me feel safe.
The tour lasts about 2 hrs. I think we ended a little early (like 15 – 20 min). Probably because our group was so small.
The cost of Segway tour also includes admission to the tropical gardens.
We were lucky with regards to the weather. Sometimes Iao Valley tour is not available because it can be so rainy.
Also make sure to show up when the tell you to so you can get your paper work done and start practicing on the Segways. (We showed up 10:15 am for our 10:30 tour)
If a Segway tour is what you are looking for I think Segway Maui is a great option.
