History

Established in 1978.

Barry started in real estate as owner/​broker of Alaska Realty in1975 in Fairbanks, Alaska. After selling the business and moving to Maui he owned and operated Barry Brown Realty in Lahaina, Hawaii from 1987 to 1999 when he joined RE/​MAX Maui. During the next 12 years years he enjoyed much success with the RE/​MAX brand, helping hundreds of clients and earning the RE/​MAX Hall of Fame award. During that time he also met and married Carol, also an experienced Realtor in La Jolla, California, and in 2013, together they purchased their own franchise, RE/​MAX Island Properties, opening a boutique office in historic Lahaina town. Currently the office has 7 agents, offering their clients the most personal, professional service possible, and covering all of Maui County, including West Maui (Kaanapali, Kapalua, Napili, Kahana, Lahaina, Launiupoko, Olowalu & Lahaina), from Kihei to Wailea & Makena, from Central Maui to the North Shore, from Upcountry all the way to Hana, and from Lanai to Molokai.

Co-​owner along with Carol Brown and Principal Broker of RE/​MAX Island Properties in Maui, Hawaii since 2013. Strong real estate sales, development, and brokerage background with extensive experience in appraising, management, negotiating, government interaction, and community service. Owned and operated three successful real estate companies in Alaska and Hawaii and managed over 100 properties since 1975. Developed numerous real estate projects in Hawaii and Alaska.
