One of only a few businesses that is open when you arrive in Lahaina on the first ferry ride from Manele Boat Harbor on Lanai at 8:45 a.m. Smart! Wide array of hats in many different materials, shapes, and colors. There are hats with ucf, which is sun protection for hats. Friendly staff and they offer kamaaina discount! Woo hoo!

Great touristy retail location. I’m always looking for that perfect hat, one can never have enough. Prices are reasonable, range from $ 35 to $ 150. Friendly customer service. Was looking for a smaller-style Australian than the one I have, but happier with the colour I have. If anyone can find the one with the clapping hands, please let me know!

I love this store. I always buy a hat here when I am visiting Lahaina. The same young girl has helped me the last two years in a row. She is awesome. She doesn’t hover over you, but is glad to answer any questions you have or help you pick out a hat that looks good on you and fits your personal style perfectly. Great little store! Thanks for being in Lahaina Chapel Hats. :))

Hat store in downtown Lahaina with friendly service and a massive selection. Since I was here on vacation, the guy behind the counter recommended a hat that could be rolled up so you could put it in luggage without damaging the structure of the hat. I still take that hat with me when traveling.

The 2 stars is mostly for the customer service. This store has some amazing hats. I actually found one that fits my head, I have lots of hair. The sad part about the store was the lack of customer service. I went to Front street specifically to go to this store and buy a hat. I get to the door and two females are standing in the doorway chatting. I have to say excuse me to get in, well I had no idea they both worked there. The older lady was about 60, acting like she was 20 and the younger was probably in her 20’s and made no eye contact at all. The music was on and they were dancing and singing. Neither one ever acknowledged me. Another group walked in after me, nothing was said to them either. The other person in my party asked if they measure heads and started to ask an additional question when the older lady said, ‘NO’ and kept on moving. After figuring out how to find a hat that fits I went to the counter with my item. The younger lady said, ‘is that all you want?’ Obviously customer service is not her best choice for work. If you want a nice hat this is the place to go. Just research and know what you are looking for before you get there, because the two employees I encountered will not be of any assistance.

Adorbs. The only thing I wanted to get on vacation was a dope little hat that I could still wear with sunglasses and not look like a nut. Perfect spot for that, and the sales gal, Mouse(yes, that’s her name) was so kind and helpful. She fitted the hat for me and was patient with all my questions. I’m sure they get killed with tourists but they didn’t make me feel like one. She even suggested a neighboring store for cute jewelry for my 7 year old daughter. UBER kind.

Customer service was exceptional. I learned so much about hats! The guy was very knowledgable and informative but also helpful.

I wish I found this place sooner. After spending 5 days in the Maui sun I was ready for a nice big hat. The gentleman working there is so nice and really showed me a variety of hats. My hat was only $ 30 and a much better quality than any other hats I found on Front St. w/the same price tag. I definitely recommend checking this store out.

Yes, it may be a chain store. And yes, it may stick out in the super kitschy downtown Lahaina, but Chapel Hats is pretty great. We came in here, as I’m sure most people do, to help block out the crazy sun death-rays of Hawaii. I insisted the Hubs get a hat, and we expected either to be ignored or be given the standard, «buy this giant purple hat, it looks AMAZING on you.» Neither was true. The clerk was really sweet and really helpful, explaining the different weaves and brims of various hats without ever making us feel like a purchase was necessary. And for a small store, there was a great selection of all styles for both men and women.
