This was a very awesome hot dog! Sweet Maui onion, ketchup, Maui mustard, jalapeños, and a really nice dog! Beware of the jalapeño, it is super fresh and super spicy! Not to mention the scenery when you eat the dog is pretty awesome!!! Definitely go there and meet Bob and his wife!

We probably should have given bob more time to set up before ordering. Hot dogs were really okay, nothing over the top Bob is definitely a nice guy but $ 11.00 for two hot dogs.

They have the best tasting dogs. Who would have known. Totally worth a drive by. The Chicago dog is very tasty and the size of the dog makes it a full meal. The scenery overlooking the surfer filled ocean makes it even more enjoyable.

We bumped into this hot dog truck when trying to find the beach with the sea turtles. Ho’okipa Beach in Paia! Anyway, all four of us ordered 4 different versions of his hot dogs and, OMG, they were juicy and delicious!!! He talked about how he got started in the business, with so much enthusiasm! He gets the hot dogs grilling while he chops up your veggies for it! I ordered the #2 with onions and jalapeños. The owner/cook, Bob, was so so nice and jolly! He couldn’t be nicer! Totally loves his job!

Go, just go. Super fun guy, fantastic hotdogs and watch a little surfing. A must for your trip to Maui.

Bob served up the best tasting hotdog I’ve had in a really long time. I highly recommend the #2 with sweet mustard, Maui onions, and jalapeños. The buns are locally made just for him. We found him and his pup Bully relaxing in the shade at the Hookipa lookout on our way to Hana. I really could eat a Bob’s dog lunch overlooking the ocean every single day.

Bob truly does have the best dogs on the Island! Maybe in the world! All ingredients are chopped fresh & you can taste the difference! After having two dogs our first visit we came back a day later for more! We’ve been back in Texas for a few days and considering a return visit to Maui and Bob!

A food truck by an overflow parking access to the beach, Bob’s Hawaiian shaved ice was more like a snow cone. The ice was bigger than what I expected or wanted. The syrup flavors were delicious — flavorful but not too sweet. Bob seemed like a nice man but I prefer a finer shaved ice.

Bob’s Dogs truck was at the hookipa lookout today. My husband is a hotdog and sausage expert, and I’m lukewarm on most. However, we both agreed these were some kick ass dogs. Add the charm of Bob – who decided when he was young he wanted to spend his life around people on vacation – and that he doesn’t even cut up the veggies until you order them, and you’ve got a feel-good meal. Highly recommended.

Great dogs! We are veg and they were still delicious. He cooks everything to order and provides great conversation along the way! Grab some food and have a picnic right at the lookout.

Bob’s great! He’s funny and talks up his food, which is actually amazing. He gets his Nathan’s hot dogs from NY, but everything else is either made at home or really carefully selected. The syrups for his shaved ices are made at home, from fresh fruit and sweetened lightly. His mustard is made at home, and is delish. He’s got a good selection of the standard toppings, but with a little homemade twist. Plus, he has a little sunscreen bar at the back of the truck and offers you a squeeze of sunscreen to keep you safe — free of charge if you buy something from him. How thoughtful! Bob is a character — good conversationalist, a bit of a hippie, an all-around nice guy. He was parked in a local park, so there was a nearby lot and bathrooms, and places to sit and chill while you ate.
