After my first appt, I realized he is very busy and I allowed myself little extra time if he is running late. I have recommend Dr Bryce Johnson to my friends and family.

I am over one year post op from an L4 L5 fusion. I am a 43 year old male and thought that my life was over when about 2 years ago I could not stand for more than 3 minutes without having siatic pain in my buttox. The pain would continue down my leg until it was un bearable. I didn’t think I would ever walk long distances or go hiking ever again. After trying everything from chiropractic to decompression, multiple spinal injections, and 9 months of physical therapy. I decided to start having a few consultations with 4 different surgeons. The fourth surgeon I visited was Dr. Bryce Johnson I was referred to hi. By a friend that had surgical treatment just like I was researching. All four surgeons including Dr. Johnson had suggested aa fusion for me, because I had been diagnosed with a level 2 spondelithisis. When I was in high school I fractured my L4 vertebrae wrestling.
I was scared to death of having this surgery, because of all the story’s I had read online. Well I can now testify to you 1 year out from surgery, that Dr Bryce Johnson is an excellent surgeon, and has hands of gold. I can now work out on the elypticacal machine at the gym, and hime with my family. I am forever great full for putting my back into the hands of Dr. Johnson.

I was seen by Dr. Bruce Johnson. He showed no concern for a patient. I was complaining of lower back pain, and after looking at my xray, he just concluded that I cannot do anything about it– It was due to aging. Really? That’s it? He did not even physically check out my back. It was inflammed and swollen. No patient empathy at all! I hope he remember what he was answering during his medical school interview, his physician oath, and his supposed to be commitment to patient care.

I had a rotator cuff repair by Dr. Graham, he is excellent. I put off doing the surgery for several years as I had heard the recovery could be long and very painful and was worried about it interfering with work. I started at the other large ortho group in mission Viejo and had poor experiences there with misdiagnosis of the issue. I have referred Dr. Graham to two of my coworkers as I feel he really is the best.
I literally felt pain free after two weeks and yes the shoulder is a bit sore but with PT having very good results 6 weeks out. If anything I have to hold myself back from overusing the shoulder, it feels that good.
I would give this group 5 stars except for 2 things:
1– I was in severe pain in the hours following surgery due to blood pooling in my arm, my arm blowing up and I could not reach anybody to ask what I should do. I left phone calls and could not reach a live person to talk to.
2– the surgery center that they use downstairs. The surgery center I would give one star to. Very uncaring, and chaotic. There was literally a doctor yelling into the phone in front of my bed while I was waiting to go into surgery. I was alone and nervous to begin with so this didn’t make me feel any better. They were also quite rude to the person who picked me up. They overcharged me at intake (although they did send me a refund). Their customer service is poor to say the least. I think that because they are located near leisure world they have lots of elderly people who come here that do not advocate for themselves, and they have just learned to give them an unfeeling level of care. I would have hated to have had my elderly mother being treated as I was treated. It’s a factory at best. I did attempt to contact them after my surgery to discuss my concerns and have never received any communication back to me 6 weeks post surgery. If you go there please bring somebody with you.

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE. DR. JOHNSON IS THE WORSE DOCTOR IVE EVER BEEN TO
Literally if I could give –10 starts I would. This place is horrible. I have savvier back pain and after my general doctor did and xray and couldn’t figure out the cause of my pain he sent me to this place. I called them and told them my back hurts and they made me an appointment with doctor Bryce Johnson. The day of my appointment I go in and I wait a while and dr. Johnson finally came in. He came in with a bad attitude then asked me what was wrong. I told him my mid back hurts. Then he did a really quick neurological test with his hand looked at me and said «why did you family doctor even sent you here». I told him my back hurts and the xray doesn’t show anything. He told me «I could write a MRI but I don’t see any reason for it» I asked him to write it anyways because my back was in extreme pain. Then he said no and to just finish my physical therapy and take anti inflammatory pills. He was literally in the office for 3 minutes. Then before he left he told me that I don’t need an MIR if I need to manage my pain I should go to pain management. He was treating me as if I was there to score pain killers even though I told him I don’t want any I just want to know the cause of my pain.
Then he said to come back and see him in one month.
2 days before my appointment his assistant calls me trying to cancel my appointment and push it back but I tell her my back really hurts and I really need to get an MRI. She said okay and kept my appointment. The day of my appointment I go in and he doesn’t come in the room even though he was in the office and I saw him there, he sends in his assistant and he tells me that my pain is because I work on the computer too much and maybe I just pulled a muscle. I ask him for an MRI again and he says no and just to take Advil and if the pain doesn’t go away in 3 weeks to go and see dr.Johnson.
I then call the office in 3 weeks and tell his assistant that my pain has gotten worse and I need to see him and instead she tells me «he’s very buys I can only see his nurse practitioner» I was very mad so I didn’t even go in instead I just tried to keep my pain to myself and live with it until the pain was so bad that I was crying all the time. So my mom took me to my general doctor and she finally wrote and MRI and when I did it my general doctor figured out that I have an herniated disc and she sent me to a neorealist. My neurologist found out that worse than the herniated disc I have 2 syrinx (also know as cavity) in my spinal cord witch was causing the pain and it was very dangerous if I had just left it. Now I’m going to a neurologist and he has helped me a lot and he was concerned a lot and told me that I have to do another MRI this time with die injected in my vanes so it shows the injury better. DR. JOHNSON IS HORRIBLE AT HIS JOB !!! If it was up to him I would have Never found out what’s wrong with me and suffered worse damage in the future!

We brought our son to South County Orthopedic with a broken finger. I found the office staff to be friendly and efficient! With three kids in tow I truly appreciated the quick check-​in and very little wait time. We saw Dr. Youderian who thoroughly assessed the fracture (it unfortunately was near a growth plate). He was patient, kind, attentive, and stayed with us through every step: from the x-​ray to the casting. He made my son feel comfortable and answered all my questions. It truly couldn’t have been a better experience! With two young active boys I know this may not have been our last visit here. I am so glad we found a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and caring orthopedist in Dr. Youderian!

My daughter saw Dr Cocker today for a cyst on her wrist. The office staff is rude with the exception of the girl who walked us back. We waited an hour to see the doctor. He was impatient to answer questions and did not, even after we asked, tell us what to expect from the procedure nor did he give us after-​care instructions. Pompous. I would definitely not trust him to do surgery on my daughter. Never again going to this doctor or this practice.

If anyone recommends this place to you RUN, don’t walk, RUN in the opposite direction. My doctor was Bryce Johnson. I have Degenerative disc Disease in my neck and a part of my neck is numb and yet painful at the same time. Dr. Johnson spent –barely 5 minutes– (yes, I timed it) with me, he refused to take a look at my previous MRI. He barely answered a few questions and then stated that he would give me a pamphlet for my condition. Upon checking out, I did not receive a pamphlet on my neck issues BUT INSTEAD I received a pamphlet on Obesity! I didn’t realize this until I got home from the appointment. When I called, I was put on «Eternal Hold» immediately and then was shuffled around to several people before finally getting to Dr. Johnson’s assistant. I mentioned that I received the wrong pamphlet and could she please send me the proper one in the mail. A few days later, I received the same Obesity pamphlet. After several more nightmare-​ish phone calls I finally asked for a copy of my initial application. I was promised one and never received it. Finally my husband and I decided to return to Dr. Johnson’s office in person to ask for the pamphlet and a copy of my initial application. We got the biggest RUN-​AROUND in the world. An hour later we finally got the initial application but somehow they could not provide me with a pamphlet of information for my Degenerative Disc Disease. I left and will NEVER NEVER go back there again. Do yourself a favor, don’t waste your time. The staff is rude and ignore you even if you are standing right in front of them. Then they give you dirty looks. It is quite obvious that these employees are not checked for their poor service performance, and are obviously unhappy working in this office. Complete Quackery!!!

Had the same experience with Dr Johnson as Jeffrey K. Dr Johnson is an exceptional surgeon, took time to fully explained my options. Surgery was the last option. He answered all questions fully. The surgery was a complete success and my pain which prohibited me from performing my job dissipated immediately.
I have recommended others to not only Dr Johnson but to SCOS in general. Collectively the whole Staff of Doctor specialists at SCOC are outstanding.

I arrived with my mom, we didn’t want too long on the waiting room and they got us in, we came ready with the CT so it’s takes them some time to read it and come with some conclusion, they put a booth on and was super nice… When we got the bill it was diferent story, they charge us $ 300 just for the booth that you can find for $ 50 online and another $ 400 for the visit without any xray! When we came back that say that we don’t have insurance they reduce the coast for half but it’s still very expensive for this type of visit.

My doctor here was Bryce Johnson and I can’t say more good things about my experience here. He performed a laminotomy and and a foraminotomy a few weeks ago for a bulging disc. I had severe sciatica and back pain I had been experiencing for about 2 years.
I didn’t want to have surgery, but it was the last resort for me. I had done all the stretching, chiropractic, massages, cut back on exercise and nothing worked. Surgery was neccesary and I’m glad I did it. My leg pain was GONE once I woke up from surgery and I’m feeling like a new person.
I had read a review on here from a Veronica M that stated that Dr Johnson was «awful — rude, unhelpful, and slightly unhinged» and that worried me, until I realized that all of Veronica’s reviews were negative and she seems to be a very sad person. Dr Johnson was nothing but straight forward and helpful. He got to the point and has made my back and leg pain go away.

I went to SCOS today. It is like a factory! Everything is on fast speed including the visit
with the doctor. I have neck and lower back issues and was told to «pick one» because they
wouldn’t address two! My spine is all connected!!! Very disappointing. I do not recommend this place.

Super impressed with this medical practice. Love the way they get you in without a long wait and they seem to be super organized. I would highly recommend them to anyone I know and plan to use them in the future if I ever need a shoulder, knee or hip replacement. Dr Coker is an amazing hand surgeon so glad I went to see him.

I recently was looking for a orthopedic doctor and was recommended to this clinic. When I called they asked me all my personal information before they scheduled me for neck and back pain. When I got to the office, after I paid my copay they told me they can only see me for either my back or neck. Which was a foreign concept for me cause I have never heard of going to the doctor and having to pick what I want to be seen for. I told the lady I have both neck and lower back pain and she rudely responded that I can either be seen for the neck or back but not both. So obviously they want to bring me back a second time, charge my insurance for a separate visit just to make more money. Next I requested my medication to be sent to cvs pharmacy close to where I live and without notifying me they sent my medication to a pharmacy of THEIR CHOICE without even LETTING ME KNOW! So after 4 days of going to my pharmacy twice, I called the office and asked why the medication was not there. They told me that they sent it to a different pharmacy that they are in network with «because cvs can’t fill this specific medication.» After refusing to go to their pharmacy they told me «oh well go ahead take some Advil it will do the same job» This company is fraud, and obviously ran by business men and or women that want your money. Don’t get me wrong Dr. Johnson was great although he spent less than 5 minutes with me. However the moral and ethics this company runs on is faulty and overall I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. The owners are business people that care more about your money than your health. I will definitely contact the better business bureau about this.

This was my second visit with Dr. Ari Youderian, although this time was my 7yr old son. My son fell off the monkey bars at school and not only did Dr. Youderian fit my son in the very next morning, he made him feel extremely comfortable while discussing his treatment plan. He was warm and caring to both myself and son.
His staff was also very warm and friendly and made sure to address my little guy so he was comfortable. David put the cast on him and did a cool design that my son wanted. I couldn’t be happier with this visit and would highly recommend Dr. Youderian!

I had been seen by this group practice once before by another one of their orthopedic doctors and was very dissatisfied. I did write and tell them and received a response that was satisfactory. I needed a consultation for another type of problem and was willing to give then a second chance. I am glad i did. From the first visit check in staff were pleasant, welcoming and helpful. Dr. Moscow was FABULOUS! He entered the room and introduced himself and then sat face to face and talked with me. He only went to his computer after we had talked and confirmed my diagnosis that would require surgery. He was supportive in reviewing my diagnosis and recommended course of treatment.
Day of surgery done at the site things went as smoothly as could be. Instructions were clearly reviewed and next thing i knew i was feeling woozy and then i was waking up with the procedure done and Dr Moscow there telling all went well.
My follow up appointments with him and his PT staff were great. As predicted i was able to regain pain free use of my arm: bicep repair successful by all counts.
I do recommend this practice. It is focused on systems and functions well. The staff are very individual and range from being very clinical and focused to others more personable which is just the way healthcare offices are these days. Not all warm and fuzz so if you need that this is not the practice for you. If you want professional, down to the basics and quality care then here is the place to go.

I have to say, after reading the reviews here, I was a bit terrified to go in here for my appointment today.
I had the complete opposite experience than most of these posts are showing.
The only part I wasnt thrilled about was I found out my referral was approved last Friday, and no one had told me. My medical group mails them out snail mail (really?) and I had not received it by Wednesday when I had called to check on it. She told me most smaller places call the patient (which I am used to) but since this office is a large office they probably wouldnt. It just bums me out because I wasted an entire week waiting to be seen. But, it is what it is. When I called, the person on the phone was very nice and helpful, I called on a Wednesday and was able to get an appointment Friday morning, not bad at all.
I met with Dr Johnson this morning. The girl at the front desk was nice, I had all of my paperwork filled out prior to coming in, so I was processed right away. She answered a question I had on one of the forms, and she let me know it was a form I didnt need. I paid my copay, and was given one more set of paperwork to fill out for the doctor. I was taken back around 10am, and my appointment was at 10:15. The nurse who took me back and asked me all of the questions was extremely nice. Super friendly, thorough and fast.
I waited about 15 minutes or less for Dr Johnson and he came in and introduced himself. He did a few tests, asked me some questions… then showed me my MRI results on his Ipad and went over what he thought was the best solution for my injury. He let me know as of now I do not need surgery. He suggested I do Physical Therapy (I have a referral elsewhere already that I will continue with) and then he is going to order epidural shots for me, which I had asked my primary doctor for two weeks ago, that she would not do until she saw my MRI. So I am thankful he is able to do that for me. He made eye contact, asked me if I had any questions, and after I asked my question, he asked if I had any more…
I will go back in 4 weeks just to follow up and make sure the PT and shots are helping and that I am healing.
I am very happy with my appointment today, as reading these reviews here made me a little nervous.

Had Physical Therapy here and it was like nothing I’ve ever been through before. Sadly my body has been beat’n and broken over the years, with my crazy youth, sports, car and motorcycle accidents and neglecting my own health so I’ve been through A LOT of Doctors and Physical Therapy. The girls in PT are… Angels! I don’t know how else to describe it. It’s like they have a magical gift of healing or something because of the positive impact Sharon and Kim have had on my pain, health and life! The staff treated me like family and I’m not really a talkative person. I had to say something. THANK YOU SCOS! You’ve changed my life!

Gave 2 stars only because Dr. W only) is amazing and deserves 5 stars on his own merit… Place is terrible like a factory… zero compassion or follow-​through.
i.e test results etc. name, birthdate, co-​pay is their main interest!
Plus only group for awful Monarch HMO Ins!!! Stuck!
