I got this delivered as a postmates just now and I literally took one bite out of everything and threw it away. Not fresh. Not appetizing. I don’t know what people are talking about when they give this place over a 3-star rating. I’m pretty sure everything I ordered(a VG burger and kale salad) were packaged and have been sitting in a refrigerator for a week before sending it out to me.

My favorite things here are the hot wings and buffalo wraps. Thats it. Lol. Food here is boring and has turned into a subway in my opinion. They have lost flavor, spark and creativity.

I love going to the Veggie Grill and always appreciate the cruelty free food. Tonight I was exceptionally hungry and it was torture that the wait for my order took 40 minutes. They explained that they had run out of lentil soup and had to make more which is fine, but when I got my food the sandwich had been sitting there for so long that it was cold. I think they should have offered me something to compensate for the long wait or remade my food so it wasn’t cold and soggy

Had the veggie burger and didn’t miss meat one bit! Great service staff and casual décor. More like a self serve fast food place since you get your own cutlery and fountain drinks.

Everything here is delicious! I had the Moroccan lentil soup & Buffalo mini wrap today — so good! The cauliflower mashed potatoes are really yummy too! Love the«crab cake» and the chocolate walnut cookie too! Very reasonably priced too!

I love veggie grill! Out of the many times I’ve eaten here I always try something new because the menu has so many yummy choices. Order anything from the menu and you’ll love it. Great environment and everything is vegan and has immense amount of flavor. Hands down my fav vegan place to eat at.

Having recently moved to Orange County from Sacramento, I was on the hunt for a quality vegetarian restaurant with decent food at a fair price. After asking around, several people pointed me in the direction of a place called Veggie Grill, and I was not disappointed. I’ve eaten there numerous times now and have to say that most of the menu items are quite tasty, my favorites have to be the Bali Bliss Burger and the Harvest Bowl. A great take on a tempeh burger and the latter has veggies, vegan field sausage and a yummy gravy. The prices are very reasonable and there is always lots of seating available inside and out of the place. It is like a fast food joint and if you are looking for nice ambiance for a romantic date, this may not fit the bill. All in all, the Veggie Grill offers vegetarians like myself a chance to order anything off the menu without having to ask about ingredients and that is an awesome thing. I only wish they had one up North so my friends could all partake. Oh and be sure to try their carrot cake… scrumptious!

I really love how clean this restaurant is. The staff are very patient and very understanding. The con of this place would be that their«chipotle» sauce tastes just like their ranch sauce. In other words, don’t get their chipotle sauce.

I’ve had several different experiences with Veggie Grill. One was an event where I ordered catering sized items from them for a large function I was having at my home, another was just going in for dinner with two others(two of us really enjoy Vegan/Vegetarian and the third doesn’t) and then two other times with larger groups for both take out and dine in. All experiences were on the high end of positive as far as quality of food and service. The difficulties related to not really understanding flavor profiles of the menu items vs. the desires of the people eating the food. Many of the items on the menu are really tasty, flavorful, fresh and absolutely worth the price. I know I wouldn’t be able to make something comparable at home. Also if you’re dining with someone who really«needs» to think/feel they’re eating meat — suggest the Santa Fe Crispy Chicken. However if you’re going to Veggie Grill because you don’t want to «taste meat» stick with burger choices made with Quinoa. The entrée salads are large, colorful and flavorful. The prices are much more equivalent to a «dine-in full service restaurant» even though the set-up is: order at the counter and bus your own table(your food is delivered to your table if you dine in). Veggie Grill has some nice menu choices that aren’t available at other restaurants and the food is well-prepared. It’s not the best place to go if you’re in a hurry. They update some items seasonally to keep things fresh and the kids meal deal is great(be sure to try the carrot cake).

We had lunch here today like we always do. We love the food. Today there was a lovely customer oriented young man at the register named Cameron. It is so refreshing to get someone who understands customer service. It really added to the whole experience and is much appreciated! I believe Mike is the Manager… very nice as well.

Let me start by saying that I am and always will be a meat lover. But at Veggie Grill, I don’t miss meat. Not an everyday thing, of course, I will definitely miss meat then, plus it’s not a cheap meal. My usual order is the crispy chicken sandwich, it’s bullet proof when it comes to flavor. I tried the crab cake burger this time, wonderfully authentic«crab» flavor. This is why Veggie Grill is so good, everything is fresh and packed with flavor that you don’t even realize you’re eating(slightly) healthier. The sweetheart fries are to die for! Although I’m not sure if that’s actually healthy… love ‘em anyhow!

Overall was a good place to eat. Main meals are around $ 10. This place is all vegetarian, the«grilled chicken» isn’t actually chicken. The food is tasty. I wish they would have provided nutrition info on the menu though. The service was pretty fast too.

This Veggie Grill is located off La Paz in a plaza with a bunch of other eateries. It might take a while to find it — I was definitely driving around for a bit — but don’t give up, it’s there. It’s just tucked away and kind of difficult to spot at first. The first thing I noticed about Veggie Grill was how colorful and lively the interior looked. The lighting gives the room an upbeat atmosphere and all the seats and tables are red and green. Menus are provided at the ordering station and you place your order, pay and grab a seat while you wait for your food to be brought out to you. I ordered the All Hail Kale salad with blackened chikin while my friend ordered the Santa Fe chikin sandwich with tortilla soup. My salad was pretty good. It tasted even better for lunch the next day as I only finished half of it. The texture of the chikin is interesting. It’s a bit rubbery but nothing terrible. I love the papaya vinaigrette that they use for this salad. It pairs perfecting with kale and the other salad ingredients. I would order this salad again. It’s light and pretty tasty. My friend’s chikin sandwich was ok. I wasn’t a fan of the mushy tortilla soup texture and the flavor of it was just ok. The sandwich could have used some more condiments or something else to spice it up a bit. We shared the crispy cauliflower for our appetizer. It is served with a side of sauce that makes the whole meal taste like orange chicken. I really liked the cauliflower and sauce combination. I also had the opportunity to try one of their wraps that comes with crispy chikin at a Unilocal event and really liked it when dipped in the papaya dressing. I would definitely go back to Veggie Grill for this wrap and order a side of the dressing for it. The service here is fine and the staff was helpful when it came to us deciding on our entrees. Without even having to ask they pointed out the most popular dish in each section of the menu. I always want to know this information anyway and it was nice that they volunteered it. What I liked most about this veggie eatery was the diversity of their menu. They have salads, wraps, soups, burgers, sandwiches, bowls and other items I’m not thinking of at the moment. Each of their entrees seems pretty well-balanced in terms of macronutrients and they make a solid effort to make their food both nutritious and appetizing. I hope more Veggie Grills pop up in OC as I’d make a trip often after a hike or gym session for some tasty, healthy eats!

Sweetheart fries(sweet potato fries) with chipotle ranch are really stellar. They’re the reason I keep on coming back. But I haven’t yet found anything on their menu that I love. The chikin does not taste good to me. I would rather have tofu or a veggie based protein option. I had the Thai Chikin Salad and it was just okay. And the Chikin sandwich. However, if you’re looking for a healthy meal out, this would be the place!

First time here a couple days ago and I’d have to say I’m a huge fan now. I’ve always heard of veggie grill but I never got around to try it. I visited this veggie grill after a long hike at aliso wilderness trails which happened to be my first time hiking there too. It seemed like a healthy option for a post hike meal :’) I ordered the VG-cheeseburger with pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, and chipotle ranch about $ 9.95. So good!!! You could also order it in their El Dorado style with caramelized onions without cheese for $ 8.95. I will most likely try that next time! It comes with your choice of a side and I chose to upgrade to a steamin’ kale! So delicious. My boyfriend ordered the«crab» cake sandwich for about $ 9.45 which was amazing too. Came with a side order of the sweetheart fries which I highly recommend! One of my favorite items that I tried at veggie grill. We also ordered buffalo wings for $ 6.95 as an appetizer which are made from tempeh which is also gluten free! Came with ranch and celery. They’re a little spicy but I love spicy so they were perfect. I highly recommend this place. Everything is vegan and gluten free and they have a huge variety to choose from. Service is also very attentive and the place has a nice modern feel to it.

Ah, how I love Veggie Grill. I have eaten here numerous times and have always left full & happy. I have tried many items on the menu but I tend to lean towards the same item after time: Santa Fe Chicken sandwich, but have lately tried to re-expand my VG palate. I love the summer Salad(I believe it’s called) as well as Tortilla Soup. Tried the PAPas portobello today and was very impressed. I love portabello mushrooms so this was an easy like for me. Would have to pass on the Mac & Cheese; it is definitely an acquired taste I am not interested in acquiring. Basically I have to stare at the menu before making a decision because everything sounds and is amazing. I want it all! The teas/lemonade are divine as well. The service is always quick & friendly. Restaurant is kept very very clean. Good energy/lay out. Although it is a bit chilly in here every time I come. This is the only location I have been too– I love it. Wish more would open closer to where I live! Love VG.

This location is fairly new, and might I add — super nice! 100% vegan, family-friendly, casual restaurant serving burgers, pasta, bowls, salads, desserts, and even alcohol! They are located in a moderate-sized plaza off of La Paz Road and parking shouldn’t be an issue as they share a lot with the neighboring stores. They have ample seating(both tables & booths), and have a nice assortment of dishes to choose from. Everything is DELISH& reasonably priced but we weren’t impressed with their service here. Our food took over 10 minutes to get to our table, and it was cold :/A bit disappointing, but we’ll def be back lolz ***NOTE: Try their variously flavored teas & carrot cake. Their cake is to die for.

It only gets better…(quick update to review — 2nd time around)… please ck’ out our«Lunch for Two» photo I just added, and if motivated, please check the«very helpful» box on the photo. That«splitable 2-entrée and app’ setting» is my recommendation to you, if this is your first-time… or your«100th» :-) If you were expecting a «Raw-Vegan Health-Bar»… go home! Go home now! To align your expectations with the VG reality… just think of this as a «Healthy Eats» destination, which is a restaurant category that is catching on throughout the Western US, and maybe in other regions too.(?) I’d heard of VG through fellow Unilocalers, but just hadn’t taken the time to visit any of their locations. My exposure to «Healthy Food Restaurants» started late last year when I started juicing and cutting out processed foods. I’m not«Coo-Koo» for Coco Puffs about this thing… just want to continue redirecting my eating and drinking habits to more nutritious foods and beverages. Veggie Grill is evidently a chain. But that aside, we were very satisfied with the restaurant layout, the order-at-the-counter system, and what we ordered as «first timers.» My wife and I both had the Cheese Burger, and paid the couple buck upcharge for the Sweet Potato Fries. Knowing TVP(Textured Vegetable Protein) as I cook with it at home, I was impressed with their version of a burger. With the Chipotle Sauce they add, and a «kind’a» char-grilled flavor in the sandwich, I was sold. And so was my wife. Our bill was about $ 13 per person, which included waters, not beverages. Had we not upgraded the sides, we could have saved about $ 5. But what the«hey!?» It was tasty and fulfilling. My last local«healthy-eats», and a bit more«vegan» restaurant was Veggos, in Lake Forest. I sort of felt that, compared to Veggie Grill, the guys that partnered at Veggos, could take some marketing tips from VG’s approach. While I liked the entrees at Veggos, I thought it came off as a «work-in-progress.» And while technically adept at vegan cuisine, I didn’t think they grasped the need, nor understood, the marketing needed behind that kind of restaurant. VG didn’t have to re-invent the wheel. So while not truly a «vegan restaurant», they offer healthy entrees. And do it in a very relaxing atmosphere. Oh… BTW… evidently they do allow dogs on the outside patio. I had to add this based on a review from last year or so that alluded to a «ban on dogs at the patio area.» For whatever reason, and based on seeing a customer bring his large breed dog… the patio is again«Pooch Possible!»
