The UPS Store

This place is so expensive. I went In to get a quote one day, but was charged more when I actually ship the item. Never coming here again. The guys don’t seem very happy working there.

I had a UPS delivery coming to my home nearby and I didn’t know if I would be home to accept the package. With the high value of the item and risk of getting the package swiped, I decided to divert my package and send it here since it was close and allowed me the flexibility to pick it up on my timing. I diverted the package using my UPS app and my UPS My Choice account and UPS delivered it smoothly to this location. My mistake was not checking the Unilocal reviews on this place.
I went to pick up my package and the man was rude and short, acting is if though customers were ruining his day (pretty sure that’s why you have a job buddy). I picked up my package and he said there was a «pick up fee» of $ 5. He made up some bogus excuse saying that the UPS Store charged $ 5 for the pickup and that there was a way to do it for free but that my package didn’t elect that option. He went to the back and picked up some random package and read off a sticker on it that said «Shop Assistant» and said that’s how I could get it for free.
I also had a return that I needed to ship back to a company and this guy nickle and dimed me for everything he could get.
I paid the pick up and packaging stuff and left, $ 61 poorer. I wanted to argue about the fee and take my return elsewhere but I was sick, it was pouring rain outside, and I really didn’t feel like driving around in the rain in traffic.
I got home and called UPS regarding the «Shop Assistant». They told me no such thing exists and he lied, and referred me back to the store to request a refund.
They lie. They’re greedy for money as evidenced by their tendency to nickle and dime for anything they can. And their attitude is horrendous. Never again will I come here. And I suggest you save yourself the irritation and go elsewhere.

Gross how rude they are. The hang up the phone on you for no reason what so ever I couldn’t believe what a horrid customer service! Would rather drive extra ten minutes to another ups store.

My husband and I went in here to get a document signed and witnessed by a notary public. There was one guy behind the desk and he was waiting on a customer. He told us the other employee was in the back on the phone and would be right out. We waited 15 minutes and still nobody helped us. The guy in the back never came out, so we left in frustration and went to another UPS store near Aliso Creek Rd and were waited on the minute we walked in. I’ll never go back to this place.

I would like to make people aware of the gross overpricing from this store. I had an item to pack and they placed it in an oversize box, even though there was a box available in the correct size. They insisted that the item would be damaged otherwise. I brought to their attention that I would have to pay for extra packing material and have to pay more for shipping. They insisted it would only be a couple dollars, but would be worth not damaging the item. I felt the item would not be damaged in the appropriate sized box! I did not know my other options, so I agreed. I then took the item to the post office for shipping. Because the box was oversized the price was $ 98. The postman suggested taking the item to the UPS facility in Aliso Viejo on Brookline. The price to ship there was $ 72. This UPS facility informed me that to pack the item and including the box (even for this over-​sized box) would have only cost me $ 17 vs the $ 56 price at The UPS Store on Crown Valley at Alicia Parkway. If you want to save yourself a lot of money go to UPS on Brookline in Aliso Viejo. It will be well worth the trip.

These guys are great. I’ve been in twice now and both times, they were quick to acknowledge me and then very helpful with taping up my package and helping get things packaged. Very patient and very friendly. I am a UPS regular and will frequent this branch.

Great employees who were extremely friendly and helpful but HOLY HELL it’s expensive. It cost me twice what it was supposed to to send two first class 11×7 envelopes and a small box. Won’t be going back SOLELY because of the cost.
EDIT: Well two out of my three packages didn’t make it to their destination. Once my padded envelopes were turned over to the ‘professionals’ they were left unsealed. One envelope (carrying a video game) arrived with an empty case (i.e. stolen disc) and the other never arrived at all. Steer clear!!!

Oh my, I don’t usually go this low for anyone, but this place deserves it. I haven’t been here once or twice, I have been here a half dozen or more times and consistently the place is dissapointing. Here’s why…
UPS Stores are independently owned shipping centers that rent the name UPS which means their prices are way over what UPS charges. OK, I understand that part, but if you are gonna rent the UPS name you should represent the company and not kill their reputation. I understand you have to make money but don’t lie or withhold information.
I had to drop off a package for a customer who said to use their account number to send it. When I tried to send this very heavy package to them ground on their account I was told business accounts had to use 2^nd day or overnight to ship. I chose 2^nd day and thought to myself that having an account would prob cost more in the end if 2^nd day was the lowest rate you could ship, but I didn’t think they lied to me until the same customer asked me again to ship with their account but please send it ground this time bc it costs them a ton last ship. Huh? Turns out UPS stores only make $ off the job if its next day or 2 day on accounts so I was lied to. When I went down this time with my package and asked for ground I was told again the same thing and when I corrected the guy, he told me that they didn’t carry the correct form for ground for accounts. The real UPS in Aliso had the correct forms.
This isn’t the only time I felt bummed here. The guys that work here are always a little smug it seems and they charge at least double for what a box would cost around the corner at the shipping place by CVS (but shipping from there costs triple so buy boxes there and ship from home or directly thru UPS in Aliso or from the post office).
This store needs to check itself. It says UPS outside. KEEP UPS forms available and DON’T LIE to customers
