I am a Realtor and a professional Home Stager, so I move and have seen a lot of furniture moved. I ran into Matt moving my neighbor in and stopped to ask him if he had time to help me with a last minute de-​Staging I had in Mission Viejo and then bring back to Menifee storage. He stopped what he was doing, grabbed his appointment book and fit me in, (although I think he works every day, he’s just that good and in demand). I was very relieved, however cautious, as I wanted to wait and see the job done. Well, I needn’t have worried, they were there on time with their huge truck, wrapped and handled all my pieces carefully so nothing was dirty or damaged, and did an amazing job of arranging it in my storage unit when I was sure it wouldn’t all fit. Matt is a magician, piecing it together to utilize my space to the max And it was in 104 degree heat, what troopers! I am very pleased with their work and am already referring them to some friends I know are moving, and will use them again for Staging. Thanks Matt and Michael for a job well done!

I would highly recommend using these guys. They were quick and efficient. I was pretty unprepared for the move and they really helped us get out of there quickly. Very friendly and professional, made the dreaded moving process a little less painful. Hopefully we are never moving again… But if so we will definitely use self made moving. :)

Matt and his guys were awesome! They moved up a glass ping pig table that the glass weighs 400 lbs and the frame is 200 – 300 lbs. This was to the 4^th floor of my condo building that does not have a freight elevator so they brought it up the stairs. Most companies would have said it was impossible but Matt instead of making an excuse found a way to be successful. Good guy and great team, I definitely suggest their services!

Needed to move Mom (93 yo) from one assisted living facility to another about 10 miles away, traumatic for all involved. Matt (the owner) and Michael arrived on time and thoroughly packed all her precious belongings. They were polite to Mom and listened carefully to any instructions I gave and even shared a laugh or two. Very pleasant both of them.
Arrived at the other end safe and sound and were patient as I said «let’s put that piece of furniture there — no over there instead.». Gave me suggestions as well, as I was so burned out. When I unpacked stuff last night not a thing was marred, broken or otherwise dealt with in a careless manner. These guys worked their butts off for me and at a reasonable price. Five-​six-​seven and more stars!

Matt & his team did an amazing job. They were on time and very personable. I appreciated their efficiency & professional skills. I highly recommend them and would definitely use Matt’s services again if needed. Thank you Matt.

We have not moved in fifteen years. We had about five companies come out and give us estimates. Matt, was just a guy who you wanted to do business with. He showed up with four guys and two trucks. All of his guys were clean and professional. They wrapped and padded everything and didn’t break a thing. I was running late on packing the kitchen and Matt and his guys came in and helped me. In ten minutes he had the whole kitchen packed. I would use them again and I recommend them.

I’m in my 40s now, and have used up a lifetime’s worth of favors with my friends, so it was time for me to finally use professional movers. Matt’s company came HIGHLY recommended, and I can see why. The packing/​protection of my items was incredible, everything was wrapped and padded very thoroughly. I moved into storage as part of a multi-​property move, and they filled the space so efficiently, it would make my perfectionist father proud. They worked tirelessly from morning through evening until the job was complete. Matt and team were very reliable, reasonably priced, and now I can highly recommend his company to others.

Matt the owner and mover, knocked out my move from Dana to Newport in a timely manner, easily overcoming many logistical obstacles. Him and his guy Shane made easy work of my transfer, and were over-​the-​top when it came to securing and protecting my furniture. Nothing was broken or mishandled.

I’ve never hired movers before. Matt and his crew just finished moving our 2500 sf house from Costa Mesa to Huntington Beach. He came out about a week before the move to give us an estimate of 8 hours. He arrived right on time in the morning, and worked really hard all day long. They took special care of some of my more delicate furniture and wrapped everything up so there was zero damage to anything. At the new house they took extra time to set up and reassemble our furniture and place it in our desired locations. Even though I think they worked for longer than the 8 hours he originally estimated, that’s all he charged us for.
All in all it was a great experience. Probably the best money I’ve spent on the entire full remodel of our new house. I would absolutely hire Matt and self made movers again and will refer them to anyone that is moving.

I’ve used Matt and Self Made moving twice, both times received excellent service and very reasonable prices. The first move was into our new home and it couldn’t have gone better. They were on time and professional. Took very good care of our furniture and delicate items. Wrapped almost everything in moving blankets.
When it was time to move my business, I called them again. Again, they showed up on time (very early in the morning) and knocked it out. This was a huge job and seemed to go effortlessly and smooth for them. The move was complete the same day and everything arrived without a scratch. Self Made has a customer for life.

Matt Blaker the owner is one of the hardest worker’s we have come across in our 4 moves. He is very very careful with your packing & moving & really cares about his clients. Self Made Moving wants to make sure that their clients are happy. Moving is tough but, Self Made Moving makes it much easier for you.
