Gosh where do I start… WERE PREGNANT! Dr. Acacio and his staff are absolutely amazing! What I have been through physically and emotionally with fertility this past year has not been much fun! I started off with another fertility doctor in Newport Beach. At first it seemed great at that office and then boy it turned out to be a nightmare. The staff ended up being so rude and awful towards me and the doctor had no bedside manners what so ever. What a horrible experience I had there. With this doctor I went through two egg retrievals, two laparoscopic surgeries to remove large cysts, one IVF transfer that ended in a miscarriage and to top it off the doctor and staff could care less about what I just went through and had no compassion what so ever. I was devastated. Besides my severe endometriosis and after this last miscarriage I had I went and had many panels of blood work done and it showed I had a blood clotting disorder while pregnant. Called APS. So off to find a new doctor that had a lot of knowledge and success with women like myself. I did months of research and found Dr. Acacio. What a blessing!!! From the moment I walked into his office I felt welcomed. The staff was so friendly and Dr. Acacio was the icing on the cake. So knowledgeable. So positive. Great bedside manners. He really cares about his patients. Your not just another number to him. I knew this was the office for me. I went through two rounds of intralipid therapy, two rounds of egg retrieval and the first IVF transfer I did it took! Such a miracle! Now I am pregnant almost in my second trimester with one healthy baby boy. And with me being 40 years old that is pretty impressive. I can’t thank Dr. Acacio and his staff enough for everything they have done for me! So grateful! I can’t wait to meet our little miracle baby!

I would definitely recommend going to the Acacio Fertility Center if you are struggling with infertility. At the beginning of our journey, the main thing that kept me from seeing an RE was that I felt worried that I would be pressured to start IVF right away (Initially, when I saw Dr. Acacio I was 28 with unexplained infertility and I was not at all ready for IVF). To my surprise, Dr. Acacio encouraged me to try three IUIs before thinking even about IVF. I went through with two IUIs which included Letrozole stimulation, a trigger shot and progesterone suppositories. I have had friends who have done IUIs without a trigger shot or progesterone at different RE clinics, so I was pleased with Dr. Acacio’s protocol, and I felt like he was trying to give us the best shot with getting pregnant through IUI. Interestingly, and to my complete surprise, I got pregnant naturally the month following my second IUI. This was after almost 3 years of unexplained infertility (I did find that I had a polyp by taking an SHG — not HSG– test and had a hysteroscopy performed by my OB to remove it several months before I got pregnant). Once I became pregnant, I was worried and wanted to do everything that I could to help the baby stick. I visited AFC the day I got my positive test and they followed up with more blood tests to make sure my HCG levels were rising. I took progesterone suppositories and baby aspirin until 13 weeks just to be extra safe. The most exciting thing was that we were able to see Dr. Acacio at 6 weeks and we saw and heard the heartbeat! (They have great equipment because most people do not hear a heartbeat until 9 weeks. Several of my friends said that is would be impossible to hear it so early– not at AFC). Whenever I called the office with a question or concern, I was called back that day by a nurse. Lastly, I think one of the most important things that makes AFC special is that they have a ²⁴⁄₇ «managed care» phone number that is managed by their head nurse, Sylvia. There were quite a few times during my IUI cycles and in early pregnancy where I was freaking out about something. I would call the managed care number, and within minutes Sylvia would call me back and help reassure me that everything was okay. That personal touch makes all the difference when you are going through infertility.

Although I wanted to write this review much earlier, the last month has been extremely busy with our beautiful baby girl! My husband and I got pregnant on our first IVF cycle with Dr. Acacio. The man is truly a miracle worker. Dr. Acacio and the entire staff at Acacio Fertility Center make you feel like you’re the only patient they have. Though they are incredibly busy, they are very receptive to phone calls and emails. The entire experience felt so personal — everyone seemed to genuinely care about us and our journey through the IVF process. I would recommend Dr. Acacio in a heartbeat to anyone struggling with fertility issues.

Having gone through 3 failed IVF treatments at other facilities, I was very relieved to find such care and professionalism at Dr. Acacio’s practice. Even though my attempt did not succeed this time either, the experience was so much better than my other attempts. Dr. Acacio and his staff were able to fertilize 2 healthy eggs that are now being stored at their facility until our next attempt :)
The entire nursing staff was very involved with my case and I was on a first name basis with everyone at the center. Dr. Acacio and Sylvia were readily available to explain everything to me throughout my entire IVF cycle. Very well organized practice and a clean and state of the art facility.
I appreciated all the care and professionalism at this practice and would recommend Dr. Acacio to anyone experiencing fertility problems.

Dr. Acacio was the first reproductive endocrinologist we met after 2 years of unsuccessful trying to get pregnant. Having high hopes but also a little skepticism towards the IVF procedure, we attained the consulting visit. Dr. Acacio took all the time to explain the procedure and to answer all the questions to us. We have decided he is our doctor and never regretted the decision. We can say only great things about Dr. Acacio and his team.
Our appointments always started on time. The organization of the office is amazing. We could always turn to Kate, Lori or Sylvia with all kinds of questions or even doubts.
Julie did everything to work out a great financial treatment plan with us, successfully submitting multiple expenses to our insurance company.
During the whole process we never had a sense of being rushed, always got precisely informed about our calendar schedules, procedures and precautions, which helped us to stay centered and feel secure in this emotionally difficult time. In Dr. Acacio’s practice you definitely will be treated respectfully and professionally. What we have learned during the process is, that the role of IVF doctor is not about being emotional and overly empathetic, it’s about using his professional skills to achieve your goal of being a parent, and in this matter you can definitely trust Dr. Acacio.
Looking back, we would not choose anybody different, but Dr. Acacio and his team for this journey.
We got pregnant during our first IVF cycle and are currently in the second trimester with our Baby Girl.

After 2 years of TTC on our own with no positive results, my husband and I were beginning to get concerned. It was very emotional for both of us since we had no known problems, everything seemed perfect but it still wasn’t happening. We visited 2 – 3 gyn’s in a hope of an answer and were told to try clomid for a few cycles… Those months passed by with again no success.
Finally I made a research and we were ready to jump to dr. Acacio’ clinic. His reviews and reputation was astonishing. He explained to us the entire process and best recommended us the medicated IUI.
I’m so grateful I chose dr acacio… I got pregnant on the 1^st IUI .
Everyone in the office was upbeat and friendly.
I would highly recommend Dr. Acacio’s fertility clinic to anyone.

When I found out I was pregnant for the second time it was a holiday, Thanksgiving! What an amazing blessing! Yet, I knew coming up to the long weekend I wouldn’t be able to reach my OBs office. I had heard through friends that Acacio Fertility was great, so they were actually my first physician call. Though I wasn’t a fertility patient with their office I reached out to them to have an early ultrasound once I had confirmed the pregnancy through a blood test. I have a health history of pregnancy complications and was grateful to have Dr. Acacio and his staff agree to ‘monitor’ me for a few visits before my first 8 week appointment with my OB.
The entire office was more than kind and supportive. They are thoughtful, patient, responsive, and timely. During my ultrasound Dr. Acacio was personable, thorough, educational, and encouraging. Everyone in the office reiterated that they were available to answer any questions and to not hesitate to reach out to them throughout my pregnancy.
I would highly recommend Dr. Acacio.

We are 11 weeks pregnant and so excited! We are very thankful to Dr. Acacio and his staff. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgable. We will be going back for baby #2 and maybe even #3.

I had heard good things about Dr. Acacio and he was pleasant to meet with but his staff is completely unreliable. They didn’t return my phone calls or emails, even after repeated tries. Eventually I decided to go to another clinic, but now I can’t seem to get them to send me my records, again even after repeated tries. The doctor may be great, but it’s an all-​inclusive experience and I’m left frustrated and unimpressed.

I AM 9 WEEKS PREGNANT and couldn’t be more thrilled!
With this being a very difficult and emotionally draining journey of fulfilling our dream of having a baby through IVF, Dr. Acacio and his staff definitely made it easier. His nursing staff is awesome, all very sweet and caring, and Sylvia is always there to answer your questions day and night by cell phone.
Dr. Acacio is so awesome, on every appointment he was always very positive and makes you feel like you are the only patient when he is with you. You know you are in good hands with him.
I truly feel that Dr. Acacio is the best in his field, well educated, knowledgable and experienced. I know he is a busy doctor, but he always takes the time to answers our questions and is sincerely happy for us that we are pregnant! Great bedside manner.
Their billing manager, Julie, is very nice and understanding. The Embryologist, Mark, is amazing. He works so hard to make sure you get the best chance at having a healthy embryo for transfer!
You will not be sorry if you go with Dr. Acacio! Thank you Dr. Acacio and staff, my husband and I are truly grateful to you all! We can’t wait to meet our miracle baby!

I went to see Dr. Acacio… and now I’m pregnant with twins!
Although that should be enough said, I think shout-​outs to each and every member of the Acacio Team is important.
Dr. A himself is the most knowledgeable, understanding, caring, compassionate and honest doctor I have ever met. I was referred to him by a friend, and in comparing stories I knew that he was legit when his recommendations for the 2 of us were completely different. He was fully prepared for our initial consultation, gave his best advice on our next steps and we started immediately. Then for each appointment I had I saw him each time, as opposed to seeing a nurse and never the doctor as I have at other OBs. He was there every step of the way, explaining the process, and we’re forever grateful!
We were greeted each time we arrived at the office as if we’d been coming for years (Korina is amazing!), when in fact it had only been a few months — we were known by name by everyone we saw, and everyone seemed to genuinely care about our struggles, our journey with them and finally our success.
A big thanks to Mark (embryologist) for pulling off a miracle the day of the transfer — my husband and I will forever be thankful for what you were able to «find»!
And many thanks to Sylvia and the team of nurses who helped us along the way (each and every one them, but Laura — you’re our go-​to girl!). They were always there to answer my calls, silly or not, off-​hours or not, and were always helpful throughout the entire process. My husband, son and I truly felt like a part of the Acacio family and although we’re sad that it’s time to move on to my regular OB, we went in to Dr. A with a purpose and are leaving as a success story… but we’ll be back to see Dr. A, I’m sure… we’ve got 9 babies on ice!

Today marks the beginning of my second trimester and one of my first thoughts was, «I can’t believe I’m finally here… I need to give Dr. Acacio his Unilocal review!»
The process of getting pregnant has been a long, difficult roller coaster and if you’re reading this review, you probably understand that in more ways than one. By the time I got to Dr. Acacio, I was mentally and physically exhausted. I had gone through 7 IUIs and 2 failed IVFs– all done at two of OC’s so-​called «best fertility clinics». I thought there was no hope for me until I arrived at Acacio Fertility Center.
What made me hope again with Dr. Acacio?
***He genuinely cares and will spend the time looking over your chart. Based off of what he sees, he will customize a plan for you that’s actually FOR YOU– not just some generic IVF plan he uses for everyone. (You’d think this would be a given with any fertility doctor but I can assure you– IT’S NOT. I wasted two IVF cycles at a reputable clinic where the doctor would read through my chart as she walked into the room. She didn’t even try to hide the fact that she was unprepared.)
***He understands how difficult the process is because he and his wife also had their own struggles. That empathy sets him apart.
***He is confident in what he does because he is legitimately great at it!!!
The staff is wonderful as well!
–When I had a small scare after being released to my OB, I called them in addition to my OB (I was terrified and felt most comfortable calling them) and they even called the next day to follow up to make sure I was okay.
–My birthday happened to fall on the day of my first/​6 week ultrasound and they brought in a slice of chocolate cake and sang to me in the room! I was so elated about the ultrasound going well that I was caught off guard– it was beyond thoughtful.
–The nurses are all really sweet and seem to truly care about their patients. I was too scared to get my beta results on the phone and they emailed me both for beta #1 and 2 as requested. :)
While I agree with the poster below that sometimes there can be a breakdown in communication, 99% of the time they were responsive and communicative. I attribute that last 1% to the simple fact that they have so many patients… But it’s because they’re so great at what they do!
Words cannot describe how thankful I am to Dr. Acacio and his staff. Thank you all so much– without you guys, I would not be typing this review.

Dr Acacio is the best in the west! He got me pregnant twice now! I’m going back for my third, hopefully she will be a girl!
Dr Acacio and his staff are truly the best. They’re professional and really on top of their game. And I don’t know what’s in their water but every time I go to visit, everyone keeps getting skinnier!
I love dr a and his awesome team. I’m bringing donuts to my next appointment so I can fatten up his staff.

This place is horrible., too money oriented. most of the time they’re confused & don’t know what they’re doing. I would not recommend this place, find another fertility clinic that will give you a fair share of your money.

I’M PREGNANT! And it is truly thanks to Dr. Acacio and his staff. We were referred to him from my ob/​gyn after trying for about two years to get pregnant without ever getting a BFP.
In our first meeting Dr. Acacio had already received and reviewed all of our medical records. I appreciate when someone is prepared– especially since the consultation is complimentary. We started with IUI on his recommendation. Completed three cycles of IUI without any results.
We were extremely disappointed and it took us a while to get over it. When we finally did, we met with Dr. Acacio again to discuss IVF and other alternatives. One thing that I appreciate about him the most is his realistic cost-​benefit analysis on various treatment options. We finally decided to do IVf. It was not an easy decision because it is VERY expensive. I feel like fertility treatments are like LASIK, do you really want to go cheap? I think you get what you pay for.
In my first IVF cycle I got a BFP (twins!!) and have 7 eggs on ice, just in case. I am 20 weeks along now and so thankful that the process has worked for my family. I would recommend Dr Acacio to friends and family without hesitation.

We have been through four IVF cycles with Dr. Acacio within the last 2.5 years, with two of them being successful (one of the failures was an ectopic pregnancy, something out of Dr. Acacio’s control). After interviewing many IVF doctors, we felt Dr. Acacio was not only the most technologically advanced doctor, but the one who gave us the best personal touch. I think the strengths of this office are: 1. Dr. Acacio’s deep knowledge of the process 2. his use of new technology, equipment and his own embryologist, Mark, 3. the head nurse Sylvia is great and very caring, and 4. the access to Dr. Acacio throughout the process — something that cannot be overstated. It turned out Dr. Acacio gave us a diagnosis for our infertility that three other doctors overlooked.
The only drawbacks of this office are the occasional breakdowns in communication between the staff and patients, i.e. timely call-​backs, clear explanations of parts of the process, and charges for certain procedures.
Overall, our experience was very good and I would recommend this office to anyone. We obviously came back time and again because it was our sincere feeling that we were with the doctor that would give us the best chance to become pregnant.

America’s BEST fertility center HANDS DOWN! I have had the pleasure of working with Doctor Acacio and his wonderful staff since 2010 and have had nothing but great results and great experiences. Not only are they available anytime you need them, they are great at making you feel like part of their family, quick to get you in for an appointment and are always on the ‘A-​Game’… I would HIGHLY recommend this fertility center to any family seeking help… I am one VERY PROUD surrogate mother and one VERY GRATEFUL client.

I cannot put into words how grateful I am to Dr. Acacio and his staff. We traveled from MS for IVF with their clinic because of their success rates and our impression of Dr. Acacio. He did not let us down. Dr Acacio is the most talented physician I’ve ever encountered, in medicine and bedside manner. I always felt comfortable, even during the most stressful time of my life.
