Our experienced technicians offer support over a wide range of hardware and software issues encouraging training and showing how to develop you own set of tools. The four of us bring over 45 years combined experience with technology, building, repairing and maintain computers.

History

Established in 2009.

Three techs from a defunct computer store combined with PC House calls to create a full service retail computer store specializing in building custom systems, servicing all makes of PC desktop and laptop AND doing on site service installation and training for homeowners and small businesses.

Event though I was writing programs in 1969 I did not get my first computer until 1984. Since then through a series of remarkably different careers and jobs I was always the tech guy on site and used that as my personal training ground developing a full set of real world skills. After a three year stint as a programmer I opened PC House Calls in 2000 taking my knowledge to help the technically challenged. By the time some one called for help they were already feeling stupid. My first job was to put them at ease and not make them feel worse. It is really about them, not the computer so I start every interview with ‘Tell me your story’. I have carried that same context into the doors of Your Computer Store for everyone who walks in.

SAAAAAVED AGAIN… So, I don’t write many reviews, but My Computer store needed my honost opinion in regards to this establishment. They have been taking care of my computer needs for years, and never steered me wrong. Gaddy is a straight shooter, a genius when it comes to fixing, and making recommendation on what ultimately will make your computing needs sooo much better, and most times I visit he makes me laugh. It would be a shame if No mention were made of his right hand man Jorge, because he is another genius at whatever your computer needs are, they get things done in a timely manner and more importantly they don’t jerk you around, they tell you what’s going to work or what they need to do to make it work, I WILL never trust anyone else with my computer needs, THANKS GADDY & JORGE

I just want to say this place has the No.1 computer repair service in the area. I dropped off my mother’s laptop this morning, which wouldn’t power on, and got a phone call at noon to tell me the problem was fixed! All I need to pay was the diagnostic fee! Lowest price I ever know in the area! Gaddy was so nice and I definitely will recommend this place to everyone!

After you go to Your Computer Store, you won’t go anywhere else for your computer-​related needs. I have been to this store several times and they obviously know a lot about computers, but they are also friendly, fast, and well-​priced. Jorge is great and the owner is as well.

Hallelujah!!! 10 mos. into ‘clitches’ … starting/​not, connecting/​not, IT @ Office Depot and others … ‘oh, your drivers shot; ”I can’t fix it”, another; your overheating; buy/​use this comp. fan; «You need it cleaned up» … (more $$) «Oh! I found nothing wrong» … Returning again, somewhat hysterical; ‘it won’t connect !!!’ … «Okay try this D-​Link» … worked, worked, worked, then NO! …I say to myself I’ve got to give this one last try … buy a new computer ??? I ‘can’t’ …and, I’d already spent $ 130 or so on these misc. & meaningless ‘repairs’.
Reaching out to Unilocal I follow my instinct and decided on, ‘Your Computer Store’. «Well, well, ladies and gentlemen» ~ let me assure you; the masters — and, of whom actually encompass some human compassion and integrity, are here !!.
Gabby, the owner, the realize an internal wi-​fi was on again/​off again and that D-​Link would be by single source for connectivity … his extra step was to bring my computer back into the home; sync the ‘laser’ emitted from D-​Link to those located on my router/​modem and ‘whaala’! Two days of beautiful expeditious operation thus far. Gabby spent time with me going in depth on a list of issues I had listed and was concise and thorough.
Oh! ‘And, the following day ?? I receive a followup courtesy call from Gabby checking on status and operability!
”Thank you, thank you, thank you !!” … ‘Amazing :))))

My computer started shrieking its death speech in Morris Code and then shut down for no reason. After first going to another computer repair store that sketched me out for multiple reasons. I went here and of course my computer turned on without a problem, the guy was nice enough to blow the dust out of my computer for me to see if that was causing the over heating issue.
I went home and after awhile it did it again, so I brought it back and they fixed it right off, and even offered me a loaner. Definitely happy :)

The absolute BEST computer service you will ever receive!!! Gaddy had my computer that I was told by another well-​known computer service was on its last leg… Gaddy fixed it 2 years ago and it still works great. He has serviced my other laptops and I even recommended him to my boss and her computer issues. I will only use Gaddy for my computers!!!

I had a «situation» and called to ask a question. Gaddy assisted me over the phone and was really sweet. He was extremely patient and spoke from the heart. He understood that, although it was a simple issue, computer problems can evoke a lot of fear and emotions. He is a great counselor and my anxiety was cured. Thank you!!!

I have an aging netbook that my daughter had used for schoolwork. I brought it in to these guys to see what could be done to speed it up. While I was in the shop, they opened it up, checked the memory, and showed me what kind it needed. All at no charge. They even showed me how to install it myself. Any future repair work I can throw their way I’m going to. Honest upfront businessmen are tough to come by and deserve recognition. Great job guys!

These guys have always provided top notch service. I’ve brought several laptops over the years. They always steer me to the best solution, sometimes recommending no repair. It’s difficult to convey this adequately, but they really want you to be satisfied. Obviously, they need to make money, but they count on repeat business and referrals, so not every visit is a sale.

Whenever I need computer parts like hard drives RAM, cables etc these guys are a life saver.
I never have to go to fry’s because these guys have what I need.

Had a good experience. My computer fell from a low ottoman to the carpeted bedroom floor, but it broke the charging port and cracked the outer case of the computer.
It cost about the same for the computer to be repaired as it would have for a new laptop, but I had square trade, so I figured I might as well get it fixed. The owner was very direct with me about this, which I appreciated.
The computer was ready in less than a week, and looked as good as new.

I had a great experience with Your Computer Store. My desktop PC would not turn on. I popped into Your Computer Store and asked if they could take a look. Jorge said that for a nominal fee they could do a diagnostic. If I chose to have the work done to fix the issue, they would apply the fee to the work. Sounded very reasonable to me. He said that it would take a couple of hours, and he would call me with the results.
As promised a couple of hours later, Jorge called and said I had a bad power supply. He gave me the price, which again sounded reasonable to me. He said it would be done in 20 minutes. That was wonderful news. When I returned to the store, my PC was humming as promised.
Great service, delivered what was promised, and I felt very taken care of for what turned out to be a simple problem. Thank you Your Computer Store.

A BUSINESS SAVER and excellent source of tech advice! The owner Gaddy was highly recommended to me by some and I’m hoping to do the same for you. We has laptops wiped, servers and software installed, holes drilled, desktops set up. You name it, he did it! AND he drove from Laguna to our little shop in Pacific Beach to do it! Talk about going the extra 100 miles. He was thorough with explaining every step of the process, very competitively priced with all of the equipment and extremely responsive with our multitude of calls and «help me» emails. We are very pleased with the product that now makes an efficiently running shop– but we are most impressed with the outstanding customer service and follow-​up that Gaddy provided. We have used Gaddy on and off for years. He is refreshing compared to many other places who try to overload you. His down-​to-​earth, «keep it simple» approach is so sensible and efficient, he helps keep your costs as reasonable as can be expected. He is extremely competent and personable to work with. You would be hard-​pressed to find a more satisfying experience when you need computer repair.

So I had a computer performance issue… Our laptop was basically non-​functional. I took it in to Gaddy expecting the worst, and he fixed it in about 30 minutes. Just a virus protection issue. Very reasonable price too. I highly recommend this business!

Gaddy was terrific. I had several issues with my laptop and cell phone and he knew how to analyse and fix each of them… he suggested a number of other fixes that made my laptop faster and more secure. He was patient, knowledgeable and trustworthy (very important when you give remote access)

I had issues with my brand new Dell laptop and ended up coming here after a few places would or could not help me. I spoke over the phone which a guy named Marcus that was nice and was willing to at least look at my machine.
I did not have to pay a deposit. Marcus who was pleasant to deal with was able to fix my issue in a reasonable time frame at a very reasonable price tag.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone that has computer issues.

This place is batting 100!!! I am the fourth reviewer and I also give them 5 stars!!!
Now I am not a computer geek but I’m also not a novice. My Fujita Tablet has been having memory problems. My dumb Windows 7 operating system keeps automatically installing updates when I log off, such that my c: drive was filled to capacity. I called Best Buys’s Geek Patrol and told them my problem (here is some techno-​babble) I told them I had plenty of gigabytes of memory left, but the computer’s disk was partitioned into a c: and d: drive. The c: drive kept filling up. The Best Buy guy said for $ 300.00 he could give me an upgraded hard drive with more memory. $ 300? Forget about it. I went to «Your Computer Store» across the street, and explained the same problem and Marco was able to fix my problem by re-​partitioning my hard drive and it only took him an hour, and cost me only $ 60.00!!!
Best Buy and their Geek Patrol can «kiss my grits!» Hooray for «Your Computer Store.» I highly recommend these guys. They are true computer experts and great businessmen! Please give them your business!
