Went to UPS for a notary for I-​9. All I can say is that at a minimum, KNOW YOUR JOB! You gave me a great song and dance for not doing I-​9 and even gave me a print out stating…
«We receive frequent requests for notarial assistance with I-​9 completion. Despite employer instructions, we regret that we cannot be of assistance with those documents. Our reasons:…»
Let me reinforce the statement of knowing your own job…
#1 — You dont notarize an I-​9 form. Yes, we are going to a notary but to use your notary license and not get the form notarized. We do fill out your log but overall, it is only asking the said notary to be a representative of a company. Hence, NOT NOTARIZING! It just requires your notary license.
#2 — Please dont tell me how illegal it is because again… notarizing an I-​9 form isnt illegal, its just not needed! Also, if you were to notarize it… the notary would be null and void. Legality is just a word to use so you can exacerbate the situation.
But I went to another UPS store whom I didnt have to attempt to convince to take my business and even she stated that the notary at the Alicia Parkway store is misinformed.

Great experience. This UPS has quick and doing everything for you to make it easy. Friendly and great staff on this UPS store.

Chris saved the day! We needed some documents notarized and it had to be done that day. I called the store just before they were set to close and explained our situation. Chris was nice enough to stay past closing to help us. He was very professional and friendly. He did not rush through the process at all. So refreshing to experience someone going above and beyond to make sure their customers are taken care of. Thank you Chris! Also wanted to mention that someone from the store called us the next day just to let us know our package had been delivered and signed for. Can’t say enough about such great customer service.

Amazing customer service! I walked in because the door was open but it turned out they were supposed to be closed. Chris took care of me anyway, figured out the least expensive way to ship my package and even cut a box down to pack it since they were out of the right size. And he was thoroughly pleasant throughout. I will be back.

I normally don’t give 5 stars, but this (family owned) business has my support. They have after hours traveling notary, that was able to help us notarize some very important documents on a Sunday night. They were so friendly and so professional. Every time I come into the store for printing jobs, they are always willing to go out of their way to help me. I like supporting local businesses and this store will continue to have my business. The owner Huy really cares about his customers and all the services his store provides… it’s like a Concierge! I highly recommend this store!

First of all, let me say up front that I’ve never entered a review on Unilocal,but when I rarely find a gem of a business (or individual), I feel it only fair to show my gratitude and appreciation in any way that I can. Another thing I wish to say is that I am in no way related to or friends with anyone connected to this UPS (privately owned franchise) Store. My first dealings with the store and its owner, Huy (rhymes with Louie), was a couple months ago to take care of three Amazon returns. I purposely bypassed a much closer store, due to more convenient parking.
Well, let me tell you, the moment I entered the store, I was greeted with friendliness, courtesy, competence, and expertise by the small staff and Huy, that was so unexpected and in my experience, a rarity in today’s world.
My business at hand was completed within minutes, and before I left, the owner, who must have sensed difficulty that I might have, getting my needed wheelchair in and out of my car, he told me that if and when I returned, just to pull up in front of the store and without even parking, to phone in on my cell to alert them that I was outside, and someone would retrieve my pre-​labelled package (s) and quickly return with my receipt.
So two days ago, deciding to take Huy up on his offer, I telephone about an hour ahead of time to give them a heads-​up that I would be coming shortly. Upon arrival and phoning in, I was told that someone would be out in two minutes. Within that time, out HE came with a friendly greeting along with a huge smile, and told me he’d return right away with my receipt, that had my tracking numbers listed.
When he returned as promised, I mentioned that in a few months I’d be, for the first time, selling an extreme amount of items on eBAY of which I’d inherited. I wanted a few tips on the shipping procedures I’d need to do, since I’d be going in as a novice seller. I obviously would want him to ship for me, rather than leaving valuable packages at my doorstep waiting (vulnerable to theft) for free pick-​ups by a UPS truck driver.
Mr. Dang then launched into a treasure-​trove of ideas, not only about shipping options, but of marketing strategy. He shared ways of listing and charging for shipping costs so that both myself and my potential buyers would not experience negative surprises during the purchasing process. He also recommended that I expand my sales internationally, pointing out that many Americans residing in other countries, often want to purchase American products. Obviously this would benefit the UPS «bottom line» (profits), but what an increase in opportunity it would create FOR ME!!!
My gut feeling, in the very short time I’ve known Mr. Dang, is that he not only is an extremely generous man, but in addition, appears to possess an abundance of business sense. I say this, coming a position of having spent many years in the corporate arena. If I had ever been in a managerial position and seeking a person with his extraordinary talents and personality, I would have hired him, in a heart-​beat.
Mr. Dang could prove to be a very valuable resource for me, if I decide to sell on eBay. I am much closer to committing myself to this activity, after realizing that I could most likely count on Huy, if I happened upon difficulties, along the way.
I’m aware this review is lengthy but felt it necessary to give Huy and his staff all the praise that they well deserve. I am hoping that at least some of you are still with me… and with that said, if you ever are need of a «shipping service», the above UPS Store and its owner, need to be given a chance, IF ONLY FOR YOUR OWN BENEFIT… I assure you. —Jerry L

Excellent customer service. They take such good care of my packages. Compared to other UPS stores I’ve been to, this is the best of the best.

I highly recommend this ups store over others in the area. The staff is extremely friendly and willing to help in whatever way they can! Chris has helped me print my homework assignment a few times, as well as the manager, and they always have patience with me and make sure it looks exactly how I need it. I appreciate their hospitality so much! Fed ex always seemed to make it a huge pain in the rear. This ups store does the exact opposite! Thank you so much!

By far the friendliest UPS Store I’ve ever come across, the owner Huy warmly greeted us when we walked in and helped us with a document that had to be notarized. Thought the process was handled very efficiently and he made sure that everything was filled out and signed accurately. Very pleased with how things turned out, will definitely be back again whenever we have additional docs that need to be notarized.

This UPS store has high ratings for their own reasons. This place is very quick, efficient, and effortless. The employees of the store practically do everything for you, making your trip to the UPS store very easy. Other UPS stores take their jolly guud ol time, make you search for the correct shipping packages, and charges you for use of their tape. Basically… any UPS store with a 4 star rating and below is considered poor, because they make you do all the work. Not this one, they practically do everything for you. Like I said, theres a reason why this place has such high ratings

I have used this place in the past but today will be my last day. I went in to get an envelope and to mail a few items. I had a box that needed tape. They wanted to charge me $ 1.00 to tape the box.

Would like to commend Suy and Peter on service they provided to me on April 18, 2014. I brought in a package to be mailed and later in the day discovered I had forgotten to include an important paper in the package. I called Suy and explained the situation and, even though the shipping driver was expected very shortly, Suy and Peter looked through all their packages, located mine inserted the important paper, and retaped the package for me. They are truly awesome! Wonderful service!

Out of all the ups stores in south county I would say they are the friendliest :) excellent service!

I go to this ups store to deposit checks and occasionally ship packages. The staff has always been more than accommodating, they exceed the highest customer service expectations. I never feel like I have been overcharged, or had to wait too long. Even when it is busy, they take care of everyone, very efficiently and quickly. I wish they would open a restaurant, it would be amazing.

Stopped in since I saw some great reviews on this place (though it was only 8 reviews or so.) Had to get a couple of things notarized and this place was quick and efficient with no waiting. I’ll come back again to business with them (plus they’re convenient.)
I’d give them 4.5 stars, but my thoughts are a bit limited at this point.

I’ve been dealing with foreign Probate/​Inheritance issues for the last two years. Tackling domestic Probate papers are hard enough, but try tackling foreign Probate papers in multiple languages that must be sent to multiple countries.
My first foreign document had to be notarized and sent to Jersey in Channel Islands (not New Jersey, and not the Channel Islands in California). Mark notarized the documents and together with Huy, helped me figure out which country the papers need to go to, and how to get them there in time for a court appointment. The papers arrived on time and I’ve been a customer at this UPS Store since then.
Over the course of two years, I’ve been to this store at least 7 – 8 times for similar document notarization and to have them mailed abroad. Each time, the documents are properly notarized, copied and packaged in one visit, and they always arrive on time.
My final notarization was done by Thomas over the weekend a few months ago. When the documents were picked up for delivery, he called me just to let me know the documents are on their way! I love that he took the time to do this :)
Foreign Probate matters are not easy to deal with, but Huy and his team make it really easy and less heartbreaking for me. Huy even remembers and asks about my brother every time I visit (I had to send most of the documents to my brother for his signature in the past, etc.).
A year after my first visit, my husband and I moved to Irvine, about 15 – 20 minutes away. I still go to this UPS Store anytime I need a notary and send packages away.
This review is way overdue, and thanks Huy for the gentle reminder to write one up. If you need a great team to take care of your notary/​mailing needs, this is the UPS Store for you :)

I have been using this location for a few years now. They are always helpful, friendly and eager to help. Great service.

The best thing I ever did for my sanity and the second best thing I ever did for my business. It is a ‘must” for all small businesses and a «should» for all businesses. I have been with this one for 17 years and through three owners.

They sign for deliveries so I do not have to wait around.
They text and e-​mail me when a package arrives
They accept service of process (as and Expert Witness, this is important)
Drop off anything. It will be packaged and shipped that day.
Unlike the Post Office, they accept packages from any delivery company

Pathetic as it sounds, I cannot think of any.

Just a quick shout out to these folks. Everyone that works here is incredibly nice and they make it super easy to get in and out. They stay open late enough so you can get in after work — which I love! I think they hire friendly local high school kids which is so nice because it’s great to help the community that way and give young people a chance to get some real work experience. They are a good honest business in a world where you don’t find that very often.
