Best dance studio in Orange County by far. Matt is so nice and takes his time with you. Classes are great and all the teachers are just so nice. Love the salsa and Friday night parties are great.

Lisa came to our group’s Winter Formal and was amazing! She was so much fun and got the kids dancing and interacting! She is super sweet and I can’t say enough good stuff about her! Also, from the moment I contacted Sway, Matt was so helpful and kind. They even came to our event with very short notice.
You guys made our event awesome! I had several kids tell me this was our best event ever!!!

So you think you can dance? Those were my thoughts tonight for being a first timer here and far from a contestant on dancing with the stars.
What an amazing night. I came here with my fiancé with the expectations of stepping all over her feet while tripping all over the dance floor.
First glance as I walked up to the reception desk and was greeted with a smile of confidence and confidence is something is was missing the moment I looked at the entrance. But to my amazing surprise, the receptionist greeted me with a smile of confidence that instilled that exact word into how I began to feel.
We were introduced to Amanda who patiently worked with us teaching us the beginning steps to an evening filled with smiles, fun, and most importantly.. confidence. Amanda was great and was an excellent teacher. So great that we left the our experience with the purchase of several more private dance lessons with her and a promise to extend our dance journey into a monthly membership.
Remember, we have never done this before and the experience we had tonight was so positive, we made a financial and time commitment to continue.
Love this place and so happy we joined!!!

Sway ballroom dance is by far the best place to learn how to become a great dancer in Orange County. I’ve been coming to different dance Studios for years and Lisa and Matt are by far the best teachers that you can find. They make it fun as you learn and that has to be the best way for me to actually absorb and learn how to dance. I learned how to ballroom dance like dancing with the Stars. The Friday nights are always fun because you can dance with multiple levels of dancers and I get to dance salsa country merengue bachata ballroom and many more that I would never learn other than coming on the Friday nights. They are easy to find just off La Paz in Laguna Hills and so easy to pop in off the freeway.

I love Sway! I have been dancing there since they opened three years ago. The people are friendly and the instructors are excellent teachers. Their Friday night parties are a lot of fun. Even if you don’t have someone to dance with you will definitely find one there.

I love this place! It’s seriously like coming home. The staff are super friendly and professional. The classes are great, and the parties are so much fun. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, and their events are always fun, well organized and well attended. I highly recommend Sway for beginner dancers, as well as for those that want to improve their technique and social dancing skills.

Olivia was our instructor and truly made our first dance easy to learn and fun as well. My husband and I really needed some help with our first dance and the instructors and staff really helped you feel comfortable and were very friendly. We highly recommend Sway Ballroom !

Got an email for a free dance lesson for our wedding so we decided to give it a shot!
The hours are a tad limited so be careful with that. They are closed weekends but they have later hours which is good so we could make it after work and dinner.
We were paired with Olivia who is amazingly talented, she was definitely born to dance! She can get busy so don’t expect quick responses after hours but we made it work.
Not sure if the price is steep. We paid $ 80 /​session but I have heard a range from $ 10-​$ 100 so we just went with this one. I liked how Olivia made us a shortened version of our song to use that was cut perfectly to our first dance.
Loses a star for the fact that even though we paid for ‘private’ dance lessons, you are still in a room with a bunch of other people praciting their dance moves around you. Our first lesson we had our own room but I guess as we got closer to their big seasonal performance, more and more people were practicing each week. The last night we kept colliding with people, which was really frustrating.
If you can shop around, I suggest asking if you get your own room when you pay for a private dance lesson. Maybe this is the norm, maybe it’s not. But I would still try to find out and mentally prepare yourself that you may be sharing dancing space.

I have to admit this place is a lot of fun. My husband is a Marine and put up a little bit of a fight about going, now he’s the one excited about dance class.
For all you men out there making a stink because your woman wants to take dance lessons here’s something to think about: Where else do you get to dance with multiple women in front of your loved one and it’s OK? Just saying

My husband and I did a wedding package at Sway Ballroom Dance. Aleksy was a great instructor. He created fun and original choreography based on our personalities and our song choice. I expected to learn a few basic moves and repeat them, but this is not what happened. My husband and I are quick learners and practiced between lessons to get the most out of our time with Aleksy.
The only issue I had during the process, was that we were working on a short time frame, and Aleksy was not available for portions of the time that we had to train. In the end though, I am glad we got to work with Aleksy.
Everyone at our wedding was very surprised and impressed by our first dance. Overall, I am very happy with the result of our dance lessons and hope I can convince my husband to take more lessons in the future!

My fiancé and I just finished our first dance lesson at Sway. They were great. I’m so thankful we found this gem of a studio to get some dancin’ practice in before our big day. Our instructor, Alexi (spelling ?), was professional, informative, patient, and fun. He listened to what we were looking to achieve and we had a very successful lesson, quite the opposite of our experience with LonDance. Our first lesson went so horribly that my fiancé actually refused to go back. Ha!
We left Sway feeling confident that this dance studio was our ticket to calming our nerves before our first dance.

This was my first partner dancing private lesson and I absolutely loved it! Alexi was a great partner and he was able to work with me at a pace that was effective for my learning. I adore Matt & Lisa as well and am looking forward to many more private and drop-​in classes.

Their instructors Olivia, Kyle, Allie, and Matt, are all equally amazing instructors bringing to the floor their individual strengths and professionalism that makes one feel lucky to learn from anyone of them. And yet, each one has that something Special, that makes them stand out, and uniquely awesome individually!

These guys know what they are doing and make it look so easy! It is such a clean and friendly atmosphere and they make learning to dance FUN! They don’t make a beginner feel embarrassed and they cheer you on along the way. My spouse and I will definitely be back. Lisa and Matt you rock!

What an AMAZING dance studio! The instructors are not only fun and friendly, but they are experienced, knowledgeable, and so talented. They have a great selection of group classes and the Friday night parties are the best :) Matt and Lisa have created a warm, inviting environment for dancers of all levels. If you haven’t checked out this studio yet, it is a must!

I really enjoy classes at Sway Ballroom Dance. The staff is excellent at what they do and every teacher makes me feel like they really enjoy teaching me and really care about my progress. I reluctantly tried dance lessons to please my wife, but now I am really glad I did. My 13 year old son is now taking classes with us too and really enjoying it as well. I highly recommend this school.

I went to a private event at Sway Ballroom. It was a group who rented out the space for a dance.
First, the best thing about Sway is their huge parking lot. There was plenty of room.
Its a good large space. The biggest room is where they had the dancing. And the smaller room is where the group served wine.
Very roomy, plenty of space for a large event.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience here. They make you feel super comfortable and so does the patrons despite your ability level. All the instructors teach in a way that is easy to understand which makes learning that much easier. In one month I learned so many dances and enjoy each one. My boyfriend with no dancing experience (with the exception of a slow dance once a blue moon) has felt encouraged and is first to pull me out on the dance floor! Also, I looked forward to dance parties on Fridays. It’s definite must do! It’s a chance to practice all the new moves you’ve learned.
Love the place, love the people… five stars without a doubt!

I am glad I found this place! It is FUN FUN FUN! Since I started dancing I’ve lost 30 lbs, I feel better, I’ve made great new friends, and it makes me feel good about myself. Both Matt and Lisa are amazing teachers who love what they do, and it’s easy to see because all of their students have the same ear to ear grin I have whenever I’m there. The environment and atmosphere are fantastic, the people are fun, and the dancing is great. I highly urge all of you to come on down and give it a shot. You’ll be glad you did! :D
