Luke and Mike are very professional, prompt and good communicators. I got return calls and follow through, including confirmation of the arrival time of Mike. I needed some minor repairs of my gas fireplace. Mike told me what to expect and finished the work in a reasonable time and at a reasonable cost. Our fireplace is better than new. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends.

cool hand luke truly is as good as it gets… i spoke to both luke and his wife b regarding glass rock options for my fireplace and luke requested a picture of my fireplace informing me for the result i wanted i needed the H burner as well… i visited their showroom and what a very nice couple… so helpful and accomodating… sent mikey out the same evening and i was good to go in no time. all three are professional, friendly, experienced and such fair prices… one of the fastest, best priced and best service ever… thanks guys…

Amazing customer service and exceptional execution. Both Luke and Mikey were such a pleasure to business with. They coached us with design ideas for our space and were knowledgable when it came to the variety of products out there. Their expertise were not only shown with the fireplace unit itself, but also with the overall construction and stonework. While in my home they were courteous, professional and clean, and dust was kept to a minimum. They kept the project fun and exciting, sending me pictures of the progress. I cannot boast enough about them and will be utilizing their services this summer for an outdoor fireplace!

I have a gas fireplace that is turned on/​off from a wall switch. About a year ago, it started turning off on its own after about 10mins. Eventually, it just wouldn’t work at all. Found OC Fireplace on Unilocal and contacted Luke. He was quick to respond and very knowledgeable. Mike came out, diagnosed/​repaired the fireplace in about 20 mins and the job was exactly what was quoted. Works great now! Definitely recommend!

I called and spoke to Luke. He was able to give me a quote over the phone (after texting him pictures of our fireplace). We scheduled an appointment so he can come out and measure and give us a complete estimate. Unfortunately, his mantel guy was on vacation, so the turn around time was going to be pushed back 2 – 3 weeks. We are in a bit of a rush and the timeline doesn’t work out for us. But, Luke called me to tell me this before we got started. And he even gave me a number to call to get another estimate. Luke is a honest, professional. I give Luke FIVE STARS because of his excellent customer service. Thank you, Luke. And, in the future, if we ever have another fireplace job, we will call you! :)

This was the best experience I have ever had with a contractor! My fireplace was a custom build. Luke and Mike did every aspect of the construction including electrical, gas, drywall, masonry, and even took care of mounting the television and connecting the electronics! I did not even have to bring in any other contractors! You just do not find people that can do all this type of work! They are very talented and professional, not to mention clean and courteous. They were timely and they did not even take breaks. To add I had to call the gas company out and needed my water heater pilot lighted. The Gas Company was unable too and told me I needed to call a plumber. Well Luke came right to the rescue and was able to light the pilot. So need for a plumber! I am extremely pleased with all the work and the final out come of my custom fireplace. I have dealt with some of the other fireplace competitors out there and they do not compare to Luke at all. I highly recommend Luke and his team! They are very pleasant to work with and know what they are doing!

It started out well. Luke came out promptly gave an estimate. He sent one of his guys out to fix several of the fireplaces. Two of them needed parts that needed to be ordered. Luke gave some excuse about the company sent them the wrong part. This was in July, it’s now the end of September and they haven’t been back. It seems they want a simple job nothing complicated or they will not follow through!!!

Luke provides amazing fireplace service! Recently bought our house and realized about 6 weeks after moving in that the fireplace was never connected (wasn’t the home inspector supposed to have caught that?) called Luke on a Thursday, he came out on a Friday and provided a great price to connect our fireplace and convert it to glass! He was always prompt, polite and very clean with the install! Would recommend to everyone!!! Thanks Luke!!!

We’ve been remodeling our house and last minute decided that we definitely needed some kind of stainless incorporated in our grey stacked stone fireplace but didn’t have any money left. We looked online and didn’t find anything quick and/​or reasonable in price. I decided to ask someone on Unilocal (but I assumed it was going to be expensive). I happened to go to Luke’s new show room and he offered me a solution that I was happy with price-​wise and look wise. The next day he went to our house (construction zone) and checked out the fireplace to make sure our plan was ok but our fireplace was the kind that you could not touch the inside to make any upgrades, only the outside. Luke then offered us a fireplace in his store (our dream fireplace) and the whole thing for a price we just couldn’t refuse. I took the weekend to think about it and I just couldn’t say no to that deal. He came with his partner as soon as I told him I wanted the new unit, installed it quickly and now it looks stunning. I have called around and no way anyone would have matched his price and his professionalism. I was also impressed with the customer service and quality of work. I highly recommend him and will be using their services for our fire pit outside. He strives to make the client happy.

We’ve lived in our home for 10 years but never used the fireplace even one time. We knew it was gas but wasn’t really sure if it was working. Since we were upgrading the space to incorporate the fireplace and the TV into a overall entertainment centerpiece we wanted to make sure the fireplace was functional.
We decided to call Luke and we are happy with our decision. He explained his services and showed us different glass rock that my wife had to choose from. He also gave us options to add a glass door which we may upgrade in the future. We agreed on the price and the guys came out the next day to paint the surrounding brick in high temperature paint and made sure that the gas line was safe and functional.
Luke and another gentleman arrived on time and in one hour was able to perform the services. They even showed my wife how to turn on the gas valve so she could turn the fireplace off and on. Luke even provided an extra long gas line key to to be able to easily access the valve once our cabinets were installed.
We highly recommend Cool hand Luke if your looking to service you fireplace needs.

The first time I hired Luke, a few months ago, he was prompt and professional. I then hired him for a second fireplace and didn’t hear from him until one day he knocked on my door and said he lost my number. Again, a good job performance once here. I then asked for a quote for a new grill. It took a few weeks to finally get a quote. He said he was having e-​mail issues. I made phone contact and accepted his proposal to have him install the grill. That was two weeks ago. I have now called on three different days and left messages. NO return calls. I find this highly unprofessional and will not do business with Luke again.

Luke is a dream service provider. I called and left a message, he returned the call in less than 5 minutes, he was out here in less than 15 minutes, and did I mention it is New Year’s Eve?
Our gas fireplace has been non-​functioning for over a year, and we had someone else out here then and what a mistake he was (if they charge just to come look at it and diagnose it, run).
It was cold today, it’s NYE and I really wanted fire, so set out to try this repair again. Luke was in and out of here within the hour and has the part under warranty. I could t be happier with the service. It is in my mind what cuatomer service should be.

After 2 different contractors looked at my fireplace, they left open wires and didn’t fix what they took apart. One company quoted $ 3,000 to fix the problem. Unbeknownst to me the fireplace could have exploded and only out of luck over the past few years did nothing catastrophic happen. I finally called Luke last week, he came over immediately and fixed the problem at a reasonable cost of $ 400. He is knowledgeable, knows what is safe and what isn’t, and has great customer service.

My 70s looking fireplace needed a major make-​over. I already started to get bids on the remodel when my friend recommended that I contact Cool Hand Luke Services. Luke was awesome! He came the next day of my initial contact. He was very knowledgeable, came in at a reasonable price, and gave me great re-​model ideas to make my fireplace look even better than I ever imagined. The job took no more than 3 days and he and his crew were very efficient and treated my house very respectfully when they did the demolition and the remodel. They sealed the working area very well and always cleaned up after themselves each day. Initially I was worried about my carpets, but didn’t need to as these guys are very conscientious about keeping the mess to a minimum. Luke and his crew did an amazing job on my fireplace. He even followed up with me after the completion of the remodel to make sure that everything was working properly. I couldn’t be happier!
