History

Established in 2010.

On May 21^st, 2010 the 1^st self serve & full service bicycle garage hit Southern California. The owners, Cory Clayton and Kelly Crean, say their main focus is to raise bicycle safety & awareness to families and cyclists everywhere, letting them know they have so many more options available to them than they think. How did they come up with the concept? Cory Clayton worked for years in a variety of bicycle shops throughout Southern California, and after listening to customer’s needs, he decided to create a central cycling hub where repair and maintenance come first. This leads to quicker turnaround times for bicycle repair, a bicycle parts retail store that can do special orders for repair upgrades and parts, and a place customers can work on their own bikes, complete with tools, air compressor, bike stand, etc. So what’s so different? They don’t sell new bikes! O C Bike Garage’s main focus is on repairs, parts, maintenance and a variety of new services. Their main goal, save your bike.

Business Owner

Cory Clayton made his start as a teenager in San Dimas, California, scoring a job at a local bicycle shop in the area. He learned enough to move on to work with one of the most notorious road wrenches in all of California, teaching him precision and value of quality work as well as fine tuning. Determined to move onward and upward, Cory worked as the head service manager at a new concept bicycle shop and coffee bar in Dana Point, which gave him the managing know-​how to open his own store. He worked a few years toward saving up for his dream bicycle shop, a full service bicycle garage that focused solely on maintenance, repair and parts. In those years he paid close attention to customers and listening to their suggestions of new services they would like to see the industry provide, and worked that into the first full serve and self serve bicycle garage.
