Guardian Terminix Pest Services

Please read before contemplating using Terminix. Terminix is just a middleman company that outsources the service. Charges you a premium, and supposedly guarantees the work.
I had ordered service from them to get rid of termites. The contract comes with a 1 yr warranty. When I called them, they were out the next day for inspection. Good service right? Just wait. Well they sent a local termite company and tented my house. Fine I guess. About 3 months later, I saw some termites in my kitchen. I’m like dang, what the? Ok let’s call them to come and take a look, why not; there’s a 1yr warranty. Called customer service to get an appt. I took a day off of work. I waited all day. NO SHOW. I’m ticked now, so I called and ask why no one came and not even giving me a courtesy call. The rep changed the subject and made me another appt. NO SHOW again!!! Wtf. So I called again. Made another appt. NO F. n SHOW again. At this point, I’ve had it. Called customer service to have my $$ refunded. Terminix policy of 100% guarantee or your money back. They say I didn’t give them an opportunity to fix the issue. Excuse me, 3 times I gave them. Anyhow they simply transfer me around and about, then hang up.
So I called my credit card company and told them what had occurred. They suggested I get an inspection by another reputable pest control company to validate my claim. I did and there were evident of the same termites in several areas of my house. I forwarded the report to my CC company and they reversed the charges.
I got Terminix attention now. Brent, the mgr at Luguna branch called me. Said to give him one more chance to right things. Guaranteed to take care of the matter personally. Never heard from him or any personnel again. What a load of sh**.
A few months passed and I received a bill in the mail demanding full payment due immediately.
Terminix did not do the job correctly, did not honor warranty, then wants to get paid?
Ah, they don’t deserve it. Then they sent me to collection. WOW!!! I will find out agency that regulates them. It seems to me that they intentionally set up the scheme.
just want to share my bad experience and expose them. Don’t believe their commercial!

I called the company just 5 minutes after the worker had been to our home. I told them he did not deweb outside, he did not spray, and did not refill the rodent box. They said they would call him and he would be right back. That did not happen. When I called back the following day, I was told he would come back the following week. I told him he should have called me back to tell me this. I told him I wanted a different worker and he said they could not do that. I told him I wanted to cancel our service contract and then all of a sudden, he could get me another worker. We decided to cancel the service contract, was told we’d need to give in writing — we did, faxed and mail. In the letter we told them to credit our credit card as we had just paid for an entire year under the new contract. A month later and we still did not get the credit on our credit card! Was told they see the credit to our account with them — when I asked why we did not receive the credit on our card, she did not have an answer. When she told me she would put in the credit to our credit card and she told me it was an amount less than expected, I told her again, we were not serviced that day. She said the employee said he did spray. They ripped us off. If he sprayed, then how come we have spiders outside and inside our house? Never had that problem before when the old employee serviced our house. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are a rip off!!!

You are better off using Terminex or Orkin. This company gets you with a contract, more like a cell phone contract. If you decide you don’t want their service anymore it is a $ 150 fee to cancel. They all offer an every other month treatment for nearly the same price with free in between treatments if bugs are seen, only Guardian charges a cancellation fee.
The only bugs they were able to get rid of were my snails and considering how hot this summer was I’m not sure it wasn’t just the heat that killed the snails. I called them once to come back and treat but honestly it defeats the point if I have to call them all the time to kill the bugs that should have been killed with the regular treatment.
I called to cancel because I was tired of wasting the money and still having bugs, the guy I talked to on the phone talked me into keep my service because I only had 2 treatments left and he said he would give me one of them for free, so I agreed. The day after they were supposed to come treat (and didn’t come) I get a call from a girl saying I owe them money from my last treatment. Well the guy on the phone didn’t say anything and I asked what happened to the tech who was supposed to come out. She says that she doesn’t know who I talked to and the tech wouldn’t come when there is a balance due. So I pay the past due balance and the tech comes out, leaves a note that I owe for this service.
Long story short, I still have spiders and a million ants and I’m being charged for it. Do not waste your money, if you need pest control go with a company that doesn’t won’t charge you a fee when you find out they can’t do their job.

If you are looking to get rid of spiders and pests you are better off throwing your money in the toilet than calling guardian Pest Services.
The sales people will lie and try to sell you something over the phone, like «seal your garage» and «remove all the cobwebs» by the time he is gone from his first visit.
Instead the service man arrives to explain how «sealing the garage» permanently costs extra and the best is when he left my whole house still had cobwebs outside (you can’t miss them).
This company is a scam!

It’s been almost one and a half years that GPS take care of my house in Corona very well. Their service is always on time never late whatsoever.
Everytime when I get the service, 99% SATISFACTION was made by the technician
whose name is NICK… My technician used to be another spanish guy but about 6month ago, NICK started taking care of my house pest control. I really like his work and appreciate it. I’m getting efficient service with reasonable price for inside & outside service. Thanks NICK!!!

it’s been almost 2 years that Guardian served pest control my house in Irvine. Well. I must say we have been extremely happy. When it comes to service industry, more than 90% of the customer’s satisfaction get affected by the company’s employee. Having said that, Nick has been very pleasure working with us, always happy, courteous, diligent. and no cutting corners.
We don’t encounter most of the time when Nick is doing his work, but my wife and I could tell he wasn’t just fooling around. We could tell the traces of his hard works.
Look no further, Nick from Guardian pest service is the best tech I have ever seen in this industry.

Five stars here! I have been using Guardian for over 3 years now and am completely happy. I had an issue with some undesirable critters and they solved the nightmare. They always offer to come into the house and spray at no extra charge. If I see a spider or ant (which is rare) in between services they come out and spray again at no extra charge. The rates are reasonable and I feel safe knowing I am protected from creepy crawly insects, ants and rodents. My technician is the same every time so he knows what I like to be done at each service. The main office is easy to contact and accommodating when I need to make a change in the service day or time. I would highly recommend Guardian Pest Service.

I have to say, I was looking for a 0 star rating, but I guess I would have to just live with the 1 start.
This company is setup based on entrapment. when you sign your contract, make sure to see the small print on it, that you will be abruptly reminded of a year later when you get an invoice for $ 89 with no forewarning.
A call to the company customer service department, un-​apologetically stated that this was stated in our contract.
There was no forewarning that the contract is over, nor did the technician that came for the scheduled visit, mention that this was an out-​of-​contract/​paid visit. No signature to acknowledge the invoice was required either. That piece of paper looked almost exactly like the one they left while you’re under contract. Only upon looking closer, will you find that it’s an actual invoice.
The reason I am reviewing them low, is the fact that their service did not really do anything. My neighbors did not have them, and they have seen less ants than I have, where Guardian had sprayed.
I can go on my rant, but the bottom line is, be careful when you sign up with them. They’re a company with horrible business ethics, and if you really still want to go with them, make sure you prepare your letter of cancellation a month before your contract expires, or be prepared for an unexpected invoice.
