My wife and I recently had the pleasure of working with Walt and Lucio at Carpet Distributors. Our experience could not have been better. Walt was knowledgeable and extremely patient in showing us the myriad choices of carpet brands, textures, qualities, and prices. He never pushed, but was always there to answer any questions and guide us on our path. The result was an excellent carpet selection at an even better price. To top it off, we asked Lucio to come out and repair an existing piece of carpet in our home. Again, my wife and I were extremely impressed. Lucio worked tirelessly and without a break for two hours and when he was finished the carpet looked new again.
Thanks again, Carpet Distributors. We couldn’t be happier.

Very frustrated and disgusted, numerous attempts of calling and arguing to have my carpets looked at and repaired, they are coming apart at the seems and the ends of the carpet by the floor boards are coming out. I was even more furious, when Jeanette the office manager, stated that it was my vacuum that was causing the damage! I have a brand new Shark, it isn’t my vacuum, it is the poor workmanship, I just like the other dissatisfied customers here on Unilocal want to be 100% satisfied or my money back. If I don’t get one or the other I will be contacting my attorney!

I shopped around town a ton for best pricing and Carpet Distributors won in that department. I was extremely hesitant to use them because of all of the negative Unilocal reviews but I decided to try anyways… I’m so glad I did. Install was quick and easy. Two men moved all of my furniture (I moved the small items) and were fast and friendly. My Karastan carpets are so soft and I got the best price in town. Thanks for a great transaction!

Thank You Carpet Distributors for the beautiful carpet that was installed in my house yesterday. Perfect color and plush/​soft. I replaced my carpet that I had for 26 years and it was hard to find the same quality that I had. Carpet Distributors was very patient and new my concern of the quality I was seeking. They came through with flying colors ! Very good quality of carpet and good pricing.
Best of all their in house installers were very polite, respectful of your furniture and at the end of the day made sure everything was in place exactly how you had it. Thank You Carpet Distributors for making this project painless !!!

Jeanette was amazing! She was so easy to work with and provided us with excellent customer service. We chose our flooring and baseboards… Literally, two days later, they were in my house installing. They finished my whole downstairs in about 4 hours! Beautifully done and our house looks gorgeous. The installers even suggested a small area to have a quarter round on against the staircase, just to make it look better. He went to his truck, had the perfect match, and put in for us– no extra charge. We are so grateful and would recommend to anyone who is looking for great prices, awesome customer service, and perfect installers. Thank you so much.
UPDATE: (10÷24÷15) We had a few areas in our house that needed a touch-​up. I contacted Jeanette to see if she could help us out. She gave me advice, gave me a few spare parts, and was so extremely friendly. We are HUGE fans of Carpet Distributors. I will be recommending to everyone that I know!

I thought about moving past my horrible experience with this company by not writing a review, but my gut wants to tell my story. So, here it goes in a nut shell. Purchased bamboo flooring and two weeks after the install the floor buckled and warped in two different spots. Phone call to owner and visit by installer results in the issue being my fault due to excess moisture possibly due to over mopping. (I laughed really hard at that one, since we never mopped the floor). The owner did NOTHING to resolve this issue. Meanwhile we couldn’t even walk on the buckled areas, we had to cut sections of floor to release the tension in order for the floor to lay flat. After many phone calls back and forth to the owner he said this would be the last time we’ll be talking because he knew I was going to pursue other avenues to get the floor fixed, since he basically wiped his hands clean.
So, left with no other option, I filed a claim with his bond insurance company and they hired a 3^rd party inspector to assess the cause of the flooring failure. The result was improper installation of the flooring. So, after almost 10months of dealing with this company, insurance bond holder and the California contractors license board I was finally compensated for the removal of the warped and buckled floor and the installation of a new floor (of course done correctly).
I could not believe how the owner of this business that claims customers come first washed his hands clean with helping resolve this issue. Complete lack of professionalism at its finest.
I Hope that helps future customers with there decision to use this company.

My carpet looks good so far but the customer service experience was super irritating. We chose an install date when we gave our deposit, then as that date drew near I called my sales person who had no information as to whether my carpet could be installed or not, or even where it was or if it was in stock. I called about it on a Monday and didn’t have an answer from him until midday Wednesday as to whether the carpet was even in stock. It was pretty clear they must have forgotten about our order because I got two bids on this carpet (the other bid from a trusted friend who told me at the time of the bid my carpets were in stock and could be received within 3 days — said friend was much higher priced so I went with CD so on a positive note I can say I thought their pricing was good). All in all they ended up getting their act together and doing the install later that week but only because we called so many times and pestered them into responding. When the job was done and they wanted their money guess who became AMAZING at making outgoing phone calls? Every single person in the office blew up my phone that night and the following morning looking for their final payment. I spoke to Jim the next morning and explained that I had to leave to pick my children up before the job was finished (we aren’t living in the house yet) and I wasn’t comfortable paying until I saw it complete considering the issues we had getting them to be responsive while we were waiting to find out about our install (this ain’t my first rodeo so I know better than to leave money lying around at an unfinished job — they thought this was weird and unacceptable). I struggled to tell this to Jim while he proceeded to talk over me about their payment policy — I am no sales person but general common sense tells me its not a good idea to irritate customers (especially those who owe you money) by talking over them and refusing to listen. I paid them the very next day just as I said I would as soon as I saw the job was finished and looked good, but it was just laughable how many times they called me that day about their money considering when I needed them to make an outgoing call about my order their fingers were clearly broken. Overall I am happy with the price and look of the carpets but I found them irritating enough to deal with that it was worth spending my time to give them a MEH review. I don’t like paying people to irritate me.

I LOVE Carpet Distributors! Jeanette is the gal to ask for! She is honest, responsible, helpful and treats everyone like a best friend! I have used Carpet Distributors twice for carpeting and have been very impressed.
The purchase and installation in both residences has been beyond my expectations!
I would never go anywhere else for carpeting! Price, selection, fabulous people and expert installation. What more is there!

These folks just finished our entire vacation home carpeting .I couldn’t be happier. Installers were professional and they even went the extra mile to fix some base board issues that were not related to their work. Thank you Carpet distributors for a job well done.

Jeanette — Unilocal never displayed your response via my iPhone. I was informed that you did respond… So let me take the time to make sure any potential buyers get a well rounded account.
We called you — specifically you, about 15 times… yes no exaggeration and a few of those times you hung up on us. You literally told us too bad while we waited around or tried to explain what was happening — YOU even hung up on us a few times after we treated you with respect and gave you MULTUPLE opportunities to make it right. about 15. So displaying that you are customer centric on Unilocal to falsely demonstrate that you want to do the right thing is insulting. Again you had multiple opportunities to make this right and YOU never did. Frankly the fact that you have changed your policy does not remedy MY Problem and the cost I will have to incur to fix what you did poorly. You treated us horribly and took zero accountability.
PLEASE NOTE your installers seam work is falling apart– there are black burn marks where they tried to connect the seams that they said would go away and we foolishly believed them. The multiple seams in one area are causing the carpet to lose its strength. Additionally your team didn’t properly tuck the carpet into the sides of the steps on our stairs… so long story short, it was a complete waste of money and time as all of this will have to be done over again. So please, don’t grand stand with some false claims. I would challenge you and your company to post your warranty and satisfaction policy — the before and after that shows how you will legally stand by this claim of changes.

I got flooring installed and prices were very fair, the customer service was immaculate and the outcome was spectacular! I am definitely going to refer all my friends and family! James was the best informative sales rep I’ve ever dealt with without having to feel pressure! I highly recommend him to those that need services! Will do business again!

WISH THERE WERE NEGATIVE STARS!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
We bought a new home and needed carpet so unfortunately we went to Prestige.
Spoke to Harvey (who was fired) and he seemed like a good guy. We didn’t need carpet for at least a month but went and made a substantial deposit on carpet we liked. They call about 2 weeks later and told US they WERE going to install per our request –WHAT — WE NEVER SET A DATE!
After we worked that out — the D-​Day of installation came. The installer told us we had to sign the contract that we were pleased with the installation BEFORE the installation could start AND we had to pay in full prior to installation.
Then the installer and his helper had a picnic lunch in one of our bedrooms on our FRENCH VANILLA CARPET. I had already called their office once regarding the contract and pmt, so I called again to tell them about the picnic. NEVER A CALL BACK OWNER WAS ALWAYS AT LUNCH.
Then the installer wanted $ 80 to put a couple screws in to stop the squeaks — I called the office again — owner still at lunch-​no call backs. The the installer runs out of nails for the stairs and takes off for an hour. He comes back only to use black nails on the stairs for French Vanilla carpet. My stairs look peppered with black dots!!!
Called again –owner still at lunch-​no call backs SOOOO we stop pmt on the check-​and wow owner calls– then comes over and begins a heated discussion with my husband. He did not want anything but his money. My husband tells him we want to pay you but you need to fix the stairs. He stormed off. We sent them another check and then let them know we would take this to social media.
There was so little carpet — they told us we approved all the seams — never saw them, in fact Harvey, who got fired, told us we would have so much carpet left he would make us a carpet for under the coffee table and bind the edges. The owner told us he didn’t care what Harvey said.
THESE PEOPLE ARE DISHONEST — DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY — DO NOT BUY FROM THEM… You will be heartbroken.
Anyway the owner needs more time for lunch…

My wife and I recently purchased a house in Aliso Viejo and wanted the carpet replaced. We visited about 10 flooring stores on Tile Mile in Anaheim. We found the perfect carpet on Tile Mile but the price exceeded our budget by $ 1,800. We didn’t want to settle so we continued shopping and came across Prestige Carpets.
The minute we walked into the store Harvey greeted us with a smile and actually found us the manufacture match in their store. Harvey even let us take the sample board home to see the different colors choices in our house. When I returned the sample board, we scheduled a measurement. Their measure guy was prompt and efficient (15 min.) whole house all performed digitally on and ipad.
We received the quote and were presently surprised Harvey was only $ 300 over our budget. Considering our move in schedule and customer service experience with Harvey we proceeded with the purchase and glad we did. The installers were quick and completed the job with very minimal seams in one day.
Overall we’re very pleased with Prestige Carpets and would recommend them to friends and family.

I disagree with Jeannette B. of Carpet Distributors. I have since then replaced wood flooring in our family room, and this time, I was able to return the extra boxes to the vendor. No questions asked. In my opinion, Carpet Distributors don’t care to retain their customers after sale.

In your very pleasant response, you were mistaken when you said: «Perhaps, we should have not originally agreed to your request of completing a two day job in one day, but we did our best to accommodate you»
We did not request that the job be done in one day.
We did not request that the crew not arrive until late morning.
Someone at your shop is giving you the «run around» Next time, send someone to actually inspect the quality of your work. See it for your self. You wouldn’t have to take my word for it.
Pleasant Unilocal responses are easy. Actual customer service is a little bigger challenge.

Avoid this company. Just experienced a true bait and switch as well as some outrageous pricing. My wife and I visited the store and picked out two options for carpet and were assured that an install of either could be done in two days as carpets were in stock. Then magically, the premium carpet was no longer in stock and required special order. Clearly trying to prey on our need. No thanks. Cancel order. Also, laminate flooring price was outrageous. For a $ 1.80 per square foot and 300 square feet, the quote was almost $ 2K. That is nearly $ 6.25 square foot for laminate.
Avoid. Will try and steer you into something you don’t want.

My wife and I purchased hard wood flooring and carpet for our entire home. The prices with the flooring and carpet was decent but the workmanship of the Hispanic installers was of poor quality. None of the hard wood installers spoke English which made everything that much more difficult especially when it cam to asking them questions or giving them directions. It was worse when they managed to break a picture frame hanging in my bathroom, dropped my subwoofer and crack the corner of it, and the bathroom they used was left with urine all over the floor. The glue they had used to place the molding between the flooring and the linoleum was carelessly applied and the seeped over the edges, I have posted a photo of it.
When I asked them about it they all denied they did it and when I called the manager at the store after the job was completed nothing was done to replace or fix either!
The crew that put in the carpet was far better. It was one guy, a Caucasian male, who did it fast and was nice and he spoke English so we could ask him questions and get answers back.
They language barrier was something that wasn’t a huge problem but when workers damage items in the home and management does nothing to take responsibility and make it right that says «stay away» for me. But it’s just my experience, take it or leave it.

Had the installation of my «beautiful» new carpet and I couldn’t be happier. Jose and Arillio (sp?) were on time and ready to work. These guys worked their as***‘s off and they really did an amazing job. Every detail was considered and this was a lot of carpet!!! They spent nearly all day here and they helped me move a very delicate (yet heavy and bulky) cabinet with ease taking care to assure nothing was damaged. They were respectful and professional in every way. Then… after a very hard day of installing, they cleaned up everything, moved my items back just where they belonged, and hauled away the old carpet leaving nothing behind except a very happy customer!
Rob then followed up with me to make sure everything went well… who does that anymore???
These are the guys to go to for flooring. They’re good, they’re honest, they’ll do their best to please you, and you’ll get a great deal and experience.

My wife and I recently purchased a condo and needed to get rid of the old, generally yucky, stained and worn out carpet. We wanted to replace it and needed to do so without breaking the bank. Everyone’s looking for a deal, right?
We found Carpet Distributors through an ad that got delivered with all that «junk» mail/​coupon-​stuff that comes weekly in our mailbox. We checked out the prices and styles and we also went to four other places in the area. These guys offered, by far, the best price.
We dealt with Jeanette in the store, who was very helpful, and we picked a carpet that they had in stock along with an 8 lb. pad. If you’re new to the carpet-​buying world, 8 lb. is the way to go – don’t settle for 6 lb.
We paid 10 percent up front and the rest got charged to our card upon delivery and installation. BTW, installation was included, so was removal of the old carpet (some places charge extra for this).
Delivery day came and the installers were prompt, friendly, and took care to try not to scuff our freshly painted walls – no easy task when you’re hauling carpet up and down stairs. Niko, one of the installers, even game me a hand fixing a squeaky floorboard while the floors were bare. Two thumbs up for customer service!
Everything got hauled away and we’re thrilled with the job Carpet Distributors did. We can’t even see any seams! Just make sure you’re in clear communication with them and they’ll take care of you. Be sure to check them out!
