In responding to The doctor’s reply. I missed one time. NOT multiple times. I had a last minute work meeting I had to attend. I would never just miss a doctor’s appointment several times. When I called to follow up I was shocked to here they had discharged me as patient. I had never heard of that.

Dr. Weinberg was assigned to me when I was in Saddleback Hospital for cancer treatment. He was the one who placed me on a feeding tube. Good decision given all the effects of the other treatment that was about to go through. I found him to be very competent, professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him and his group.

Despite reading some of the negative reviews I have to say I disagree. I made an appointment for a consult with Dr. Weinberg prior to having a routine colonoscopy. He was very personable, informative and very to the point. His staff was courteous and helpful. On the day of my colonoscopy, they were running a few minutes behind but I found the staff to be just as courteous and after the procedure Dr Weinberg told me his findings and I was out of there pretty quickly. My husband saw him 3 years prior for the same procedure and he had only good things to say about Dr Weinberg and his staff. I definitely would recommend him and see him again if I need to.

Dr. Weinberg was extremely professional with a respectful bedside manner. I would highly recommend his services.

Dr. Weinberg is a heaven send for me and my family. I have been very ill for the past two months with an infection in my colon and needed a colonoscopy to see why I was still having symptoms after the infection cleared. He was very direct and informative. I set up my procedure and he even provided me the colon prep medicine in office. Day of the procedure he talked to me and asked if I had any questions. Procedure went well with no issues or pain.
My husband was very happy with him as well. He provided information to him as I was still sedated.
Some say he doesn’t have the best bedside manner but I disagree. He won’t hold you hand and baby you, but he is a fantastic Doctor. I highly recommend him for any gastro issues.

Bad medical group, dr weinberg is a egotistical jack as… dont go here, you will have to put up with his uneducated assistant beth…

So great to have a doctor listen to you and address what you’re asking. Had a colonoscopy with him at different location than office. The staff where I had the procedure done were all very kind and everything was done very timely. Dr. Weinberg even apologized for running a little late. So nice to see a business and doctor, especially medical, run so efficiently. They were even handling many patients with the same procedures. Why can’t all medical offices realize how much this means to patients? They even did a follow up call the following day.
Thanks for making me feel the colonoscopy would be safe and for your good care. (I had concerns about the colonoscopy being done and the colon being perforated. I knew other people who had that happen. The nurse at this location said he’s never seen it happen at their location even with thousands of colonoscopies.) His office staff were also great.

It’s a shame to review a dr. by the inadequacy of their staff but what a nightmare, and this is the only way to get through. My insurance will pay 100% of a colorectal exam, IF billed correctly as preventative. It wasn’t billed as preventive, even though they ensured us that it would be. Why do people get Colonoscopy’s? To prevent them from getting colon cancer! I spoke with their billing dept. Cynthia, no call back. I spoke with Amanda, no call back. Finally Amanda tells me to speak to Julie Dr. Weinberg’s nurse. That was even a bigger mistake. To make a long story short, she billed it incorrectly and refused to hear that my insurance Co. said to bill it as preventive because that’s what Colonoscopy’s are. My insurance Co. couldn’t believe that she would not change the billing code to preventive because either way, they would get paid the same, it’s just that I wouldn’t be responsible for any of it. She refused and Dr. Weinberg just lost two more patients. Dr’s need to wake up when it comes to their office help.

Dr. Weinberg is as good as it gets! He genuinely cares about you and your quality of life. He is up on the latest information and takes the time to get to know your condition and is very honest about the proven results of all interventions, he geniunely cares about you and therefore is extremely trustworthy. He is very intelligent but still has your best interest at heart. I always leave knowing I have someone who really cares and I feel confident I am getting the best of everything a Dr. can give. You will love Dr. Weinberg, I highly recommend him!

Took my 90 yr old father to him. His office told me initially that he does not accept Medicare but he will make an exception this time. After the visit my Dad got a bill for $ 150+. Contacted his office and emailed him directly. He said his services are not for «free», having charged Medicare already. He gave my Dad a %15 discount. Mr. Weinberg is a businessman. Go see a Dr.

Dr. Weinberg happened to be the GI on-​call at Saddleback Memorial Hospital when I (finally) went to the ER with severe abdominal pain. After 7 years of agony, countless specialists, tests, and attempts at managing symptoms, Dr. Weinberg was able to give me the diagnosis I was most fearful of, but needed. He put me at ease, assured me of all the advancements being made in treating my chronic disease, and most importantly, he LISTENED to me. He went over all potential courses of treatment and the viability of each course. Usually, doctors push back at my proactive approach to my personal health and treatment; Dr. Weinberg listened to my concerns and addressed each of them, in turn. He took my personal preferences and lifestyle into account with every recommendation he made, from diet to medications.
I was so pleased with a doctor who was both capable of addressing specific health issues, and also treating real whole people, that I continued seeing him despite not having health insurance at the time. It was worth every penny, and he made it reasonably affordable for me.
I must also mention Dr. Weinberg’s assistant, Elizabeth, who is an absolute gem! I don’t think I could have made it through the first year post-​diagnosis without her constant help and support. Her diligence in dealing with prescriptions, pharmacies, my insurance company, scheduling my appointments, getting quick recommendations to address minor concerns, etc., astounded me. Still astounds me.
I couldn’t make a better recommendation than this power-​duo. They both truly care about patients and do everything within their power to seek the best possible outcomes.

My appointments with Dr Weinberg are far and away the best doctor’s visit I have ever had. I was the only with an appointment at my scheduled time and the wait time was less than five minutes! (I am used to waiting over an hour in a super crowded waiting room). His assistant Elizabeth is always prompt to return calls very quick which is unheard of…
Dr. Weinberg is very personable, funny, warm, and made me feel completely at ease. He always spends tons of time to ask how I am doing — looks at new opportunities to minimize my health problems. and knows exactly how to minimize my symptoms. I always ask a million questions and he always takes the time to answer them, and he he goes beyond my expectations — he truly cares about my well being. After many negative experiences with overbooked doctors in clinic settings, I had forgotten that appointments could be like this.

Dr. Weinberg is amazing! After going to countless doctors and them claiming I was just stressed and depressed he actually listened and helped me out!
I have a history to stomach problems like IBS and GERD. When booking an appointment with him, i left a message for his assistant and she got back to me in a few hours, it was very easy and i got an appointment for the following week. Dr. Weinberg suggested a lot of tests but once he found out I didn’t have health insurance, he worked with me and did the most cost effective tests first. He is truly amazing and I really don’t mind paying out of pocket to see him. That is saying a lot!

While I never actually met him but scheduling a simple colonoscopy procedure was a nightmare with him and his office. I had full insurance coverage and a Dr. referral but his receptionist failed to return calls or schedule me properly. Finally after several calls to secure an appointment and filling out all the necessary paperwork on line I arrived 15 minutes late for a 3:45 appointment. It was a very difficult office to find above a bank and far from any attainable parking. I had to go to another reception area to find the office. The dr made the decision that I could wait in the building and be his last appointment of the day if I still wanted to be seen. Can you imagine how many times you have waited for your Dr. and if you then informed them they could wait to see you till the end of the day. This was on Feb 4^th. I elected to reschedule and spent numerous phone calls with no call backs from the office and finally on the 21^st of Feb I said enough and called MIMG endoscopy Center. Dr. Feng was so accommodating and to make up for all the lost time I encountered from Dr. RUDE Weinberg he got me in immediately for both office visit and procedure. Thank you Dr. Feng, no thank you Dr. Weinberg.

Actually, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a condition in which the stomach contents (food or liquid) leak backwards from the stomach into the esophagus (the tube from the mouth to the stomach). This action can irritate the esophagus, causing heartburn and other symptoms.
I was referred to Dr. Weinberg after a cardiologist confirmed that my frequent chest pain was not due to any cardiovascular disease.
Not only has Dr. Weinberg gotten this problem under control but he and his staff treat their patients with a high level of care and professionalism. The staff is friendly and helpful and Dr. Weinberg listens to questions and concerns and fully explains the treatment options.
