Specialties
We are a fully licensed, bonded and insured paint contracting company servicing both residential and commercial jobsites. We perform high quality interior and exterior painting and staining. Projects include new and custom homes, repaints and remodels, and general maintenance touch-up. In addition to general painting we also specialize in custom finishes including: wall faux finishes, wood distressing, over-glazing, aging, antiquing, gold-leafing, hand-wax finishes, custom iron finishes, and furniture-type finishes. These specialty techniques are commonly used on refinishing garage doors and front door systems, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, decorative trim and wrought iron, and furniture pieces.
History
Established in 1994.
A.A. Paint was founded by Art Gonzales who has been a licensed contractor for over 35 years. After decades of experience A.A. Paint was formally incorporated in 1994. We are a family owned company that even has several loyal team-members that have been employed by us for almost 30 years. A.A. Paint’s main office was originally based in San Juan Capistrano for over ten years but after doubling our workforce we needed room for expansion. We recently moved our office to Laguna Hills centering our location to service cities as far north as Buena Park and Chino Hills, as far south as San Clemente, from PCH and The Beach Cities east to Rancho Santa Margarita and Coto De Caza.

Business Owner
Art Gonzales has been licensed by the CSLB since 1975 in General Contracting, Drywall, and Painting and Decorating. He worked for Gonzales Painting Corporation in San Bernardino gaining experience as a painter’s apprentice. He then received his license and moved to San Clemente and started his own business as a paint contractor. Much of Art’s work coincided with the growth of the neighboring communities as his work was seen in Nellie Gail Ranch, Bear Brand, Ocean Ranch, Monarch Bay, The Hunt Club, Marbella, Niguel Summit, and numerous other neighborhoods. Art Gonzales sought to expand his business and incorporated A.A. Paint & Custom Finishes, Inc. in 1994. Current projects can be found in Crystal Cove, Shady Canyon, Ritz Point, Emerald Bay, and Talega. In his spare time Art enjoys golfing and vacationing with his family.
