The T-​shirt Company at Laguna Beach provides a carefully curated selection of t-​shirts and sweatshirts for kids and adults as well as a variety of unique and affordable souvenirs. We are proud of the rich history and strong community that makes Laguna so special and these values are reflected in the store. Customers can now see the influence with more environmental products and items made locally. We also provide a platform for local artists and non-​profits organizations to get their work and messages out to our guests.

History

Established in 1981.

The T-​shirt Company at Laguna Beach has been a favorite tourist stop in downtown Laguna for over 3 decades. Owner/​artist Tillman Segal originally established the store back in the day of heat transfers. The walls were covered from floor to ceiling with decals to choose from and we sold blank t-​shirts, muscle tees, crop shirts and all. Currently, Segal daughter, Lauren has come into the picture. With a 10 year history in the non-​profit international development sector, Lauren is bringing global social consciousness into the store. We are very inspired by the incredibly rich history and happenings that make Laguna so special!

Hi I’m Lauren Segal, the fortunate daughter of Till Segal, who opened the T-​shirt Company in 1981. I moved to town from L.A. to get involved in the store in 2013, bringing with me 10 years experience running a non-​profit organization and a great deal of activism and the love of meeting down-​to-​earth wonderful people from all over the world.

Besides making customer service the number one priority, I have begun to «green» our business and I am utilizing this amazing opportunity to benefit the community of Laguna, including local non-​profits and individual artists and folks that need opportunities to earn income outside the formal economy. This is what I am all about. We are not just a tourist shop — we are a «The T-​shirt Shop with a Conscience.»
