The Inn At Laguna Beach

I could not get a king size bed but I got an ocean view room and was able to hear the waves all night which was relaxing. The room was very clean and had private parking which was also nice. But I was not impressed with the pool and the area was very small. I paid $ 667 after all the fees, parking and tax for one night. It was a nice experience but I think this place is very expensive. Not to mention, there is no bar at night or restaurant inside this place.

For our 10 year anniversary we were gifted a stay at 499 a night. When we arrived we were charged for parking, and as petty as it sounds, have to walk the permit back down, while in heels with baggage in hand… or leave it (the baggage) waiting, which for the cost of the room and charging for parking they couldn’t at least do that?
The stair well walking up is dirty, spit and gum spots all over and rusty– I understand that it’s by the beach but for 499 a night?!
Once in the room, we experience a clogged toilet, burnt out light bulbs, dirty trash cans with no bags. Also no tubs. Showers only. Wife was a little miffed because she really wanted a bath tub. Had the toilet as an issue the entire stay, maintenance didn’t even plunge. I had to use the public hotel restroom down the hallway.
We had been booked a double queen on the third floor, and we’re offered a king on the bottom floor not knowing the whole reason the do le queen was booked was because it’s loud til late at night and then again early in the morning on into the day, on the first floor. Also people can look right in and there aren’t curtains. Just wide plantation style shutters.
After bringing the complaints to the attention of the employee at check out we were offered a comp on our hotel room bar tab. They were also supposed to clear the funds for our incidentals card hold. Not the case… days later our card was charged, over drawing the card used on file.
For the price, there are many MANY other great LUXURY options in and around Laguna.
This place is a rip off for the price.
The customer service leaves much to be desired.
The amenities leave much to be desired.

STAY HERE. Amazing prices and amazing hotel. The staff are amazing! They went above and beyond to make my man’s birthday special! They even helped make reservations for a close Italian restaurant! I was shocked. The rooms are clean and gorgeous, right next the beach! The balcony view was amazing! Bathroom was clean! Bed and room so gorgeous! Worth every penny I spent! I will be coming back! Thank you so much for the outstanding customer service! No words can convey how pleased I am!

A location that cannot be beat, right in the middle of Laguna Beach. In the center of art galleries, fine dining and eclectic shops, the Inn At Laguna Beach is the only place to stay if you want the full experience of Laguna’s gorgeous surf, iconic lifeguard tower, volleyball and basketball areas. The service was second to none with nice touches throughout. They offer wine at the rooftop, refreshments in the Lobby and freshly brewed tea in the evenings for turn down service. Friendly, efficient service. I highly recommend Inn At Laguna.

Second fabulous New Year’s Eve at this hotel. We love all of the nice touches they offer: wine reception, champagne for midnight, beautiful roof top terrace, great access to beach and restaurants, friendly staff. We hope to be back soon.

My family and I stayed here about four times for vacations. In terms of location and price you can’t get better if you want to be close to the Laguna village area, the beach, and a pool. We always booked pretty far in advance and were always able to book for under $ 300 a night. The rooms were large with a couch. One time our room had a beach facing patio.
Service was always wonderful and it felt more like a B&B than a big box hotel with how much the staff tried to get to know their guests. Each night they had wine hot cider, and cookies in the lobby, coffee in the morning.
Beach: you walk down about 50 steps to the public beach, very easy.
Pool: Right next to the beach. You can’t see the ocean from the pool but you can hear the ocean. It is well secured so you do not have to worry about «pool crashers». Since it is a pretty small hotel the pool does not get too crowded either.
Free wifi and free self parking. The parking garage is a little tricky, and you have to be sure you have a pass so you do not get towed, but it is not a huge problem.
The rooftop deck is our favorite part. It is a beautiful patio and is open to all guests unless there is a wedding there. We often took wine up there to watch the sunset.
Cons: Room service is limited, they use the restaurant next door to cater in room service. At peak times the rates can be very high. No private beach, but Laguna is not a private beach destination.

So far less than 1 star… Don’t guarantee to hold my room when we called hours earlier arrived at agreed time… Just to have you say «OH WE GAVE YOUR ROOM AWAY». Then make us wait 4 hours only to get a really bad first floor room with people looking in my room walking by!!! That defeats a balcony ocean view room. Don’t make our mistake.

Beautiful view from room. Great location as beach is steps outside door as well as short walk to shops and restaurants. Starbucks is right across the street although they serve free Starbucks coffee in the lobby in the am. Wine reception is nice (wine ok) on a terrace with beautiful views of the ocean. Their room service is from the restaurant next door. We didn’t order room service but we had dinner there and it was amazing. Rooms are clean and nice and the service of hotel staff was great

My favorite hotel on the coast of Southern California. I spend every birthday here and my ocean view balcony room is so over the top relaxing and comfortable. I fall asleep and wake-​up to the sounds of the surf. The view is awe inspiring and my phone is full of pictures to prove it! Location location location is what this hotel has going for it and I will come back as long as my budget will allow me too.

My son was getting married and I booked a room at the hotel for us to get ready and my son and his wife to spend the night. What a great staff! William made sure we had the nicest and biggest room. And the whole hotel staff was friendly and professional! I plan on going to just spend the weekend because it’s the best location and so relaxing! And I’m sure the newlyweds will be back every year! Thank you for the hospitality.

This is a great place to stay if you want to be on the beach. The staff was friendly. The rooms are very clean. Very expensive for a ocean view. The card keys are wooden, which was neat. I wouldn’t stay here again for the price but overall it was nice.

Great place to stay in Laguna! Walking distance to everything. Staff is professional, friendly and very accommodating. We had a slight problem with the cleaning of our room, but the manager quickly comped our room service tab for the inconvenience, without us even asking!
The ocean view room 425 was spectacular! Room was small but clean and bed was comfy. Will definitely stay there again!

Best location in Laguna Beach.
Our room was ocean view corner unit which overlooked the beach. We could hear the waves all day. Breakfast on our terrace was just sooo good.
The hotel is just minutes from Sawdust, Art Festival and all top restaurants. We parked the car and never took it out.
The room are nice, not Four Seasons nice, the bed is very comfortable, couch is ok. It’s a spring and down with some prickly feathers popping out.
They do have beach chairs, umbrella boogie boards, towels available right as you go out to the beach which is very convenient.
The bar is limited though they do offer wine tasting at around 5… again the view from the bar makes up for it.

This is one of the nicest little inns on the pacific coast highway. The rooms are updated, but the inn still has that 60’s vibe. The great thing about it is the view. Most rooms have ocean views. You can walk 10 steps to the beach. But the rooms are balconies. Very cool.

The location of this hotel is ideal for visiting Laguna Beach. It’s a short walk to shopping, restaurants, and beach volleyball courts.
We were on the third floor and had a great view overlooking the pool and ocean. The rooms are older but clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very nice and incredibly helpful. Biggest bonus… free Starbucks coffee in the lobby in the mornings!
I’m taking off one star because of the parking situation. I’m always a fan of self parking but I would have gladly paid for valet so as not to have to navigate the world’s smallest garage. Be aware that if you drive into the main driveway, you may have to back out onto PCH!

Beware: Ocean Views /​patio quality descriptions are misleading and vary *dramatically* — if you’re hoping for an actual ocean view from the room you need to be VERY careful about your room selection.
We booked an «Ocean View King Balcony» room on ⁴⁄₁₈ for our 10^th anniversary. When we were in Laguna Beach previously we saw balconies overlooking the ocean at this hotel from the beach — they looked amazing! We allowed lots of advance notice and paid $ 380 total for the room.
When we got there we wound up in Room 102. The low, dark room offered essentially no ocean view standing from *within* the room — the view straight out the patio doors was — a wall?
To see the ocean we had to go as far out on the patio as possible while angling the chairs horizontally — viewing right to left — which allows a view of a *long hallway* to the ocean. This is an «Ocean View King Balcony» room?
Room 101 would have the same or worse view, as would the two rooms above on the 2^nd floor. A lot of rooms in this block of the hotel I suspect would have subpar views despite (obviously) billing at premium rates.
I was incensed for the money I’d paid and what was promised and and asked for a different room. Despite checking in at 3pm (an hour early) they said there were no other ocean rooms available, which I can’t help but be skeptical of considering the hotel’s size. For that to have been true everyone in all the other ocean rooms would have had to have checked in the night prior or earlier. I was willing to wait, but there was no budging on that.
I took the room in disgust but immediately sent the manager an email conveying my disappointment. To the credit of the manager/​staff, I couple hours later I had a $ 100 credit (well, actually like $ 120 with the tax rerate) which did go partway to making things right as the $ 250 I wound up paying after the credit was probably fair overall for Laguna Beach. Otherwise the room was small but pretty nice. No other complaints, really.
But they’re obviously billing a lot of rooms that would be better described as «partial ocean view» quite misleadingly, and at ~$ 350+ rates. It’s not right and it ruined some hours with me fuming over it.
The only way I’d ever book this hotel again (at the rate I paid and if I had views as an expectation) would be if I could absolutely *verify* the room I was booking was on the left half of the hotel (looking at the hotel from the street, or the right side of the hotel if viewing from the ocean) and probably at least on the 3^rd floor.
It would have just been nice to get the advertised experience I thought we going to get, considering the occasion we were celebrating.

LOVED THIS INN! Centrally located in a great area in Laguna. When it says located ON the beach, they are not lying. There are stairs that literally lead right into the sand.
I arrived on a Saturday night around 5pm, just in time for an hour of complimentary wine! What a fabulous way to start my vacation! The hotel is very clean and staff is great!
They will make recommendations and help you find great places to eat or enjoy a drink or night out!
The only thing I would say was a negative was the $ 35/​PER NIGHT fee for parking. also. the towels could use ANY fabric softener. other than that. FABULOUS stay!

Stayed here to celebrate my birthday… absolutely beautiful property. The view of the ocean from the balcony was breath taking. Close to everything. Within walking distance to shopping, dining, movie theatre, everything :)
Nice linens, robes, etc. So nice to fall asleep to the sound of the waves. The only downside was it was very expensive– mid week with taxes and parking over $ 600 a night, yikes!

The Inn at Laguna Beach has lots to offer. While there was a mix-​up with the reservations at first, everything was settled, and we were upgraded to a room facing the ocean.
The feel of the hotel is naturally a beachy environment, with wooden shutters, light wood tones throughout the room, and a beach tones used throughout the hotel as the décor. The room we have has a great view, is very spacious, and overall appears to have been modernized here and there for example, the shower tile looks new).
The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. If your room isn’t ready yet, they offer to hold bags until the room becomes available. They also have free wifi throughout the hotel, and plenty of parking for hotel guests despite being beachside — which is great. Still, can’t beat the views.
