We have a national presence in the numismatic industry, we trade PCGS and NGC certified rare coins, uncertified collectible coins, and just about any type of bullion product. In terms of numismatics, we specialize in U.S. Morgan and Peace silver dollars, and early American type coins as well as ancient coins, tokens/​medals, and everything in between.

Tangible is a member of the Professional Numismatists Guild (PNG), the American Numismatic Association, and dozens of other industry groups.

History

Established in 1984.

Tangible Investments’ roots trace back to 1977, when a young entrepreneur named Silvano DiGenova set up his first trading booth at a national coin convention. In 1986, DiGenova co-​founded the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) and was assigned the task of developing the first grading set.

Mr. DiGenova went on to form Tangible Asset Galleries, which became a public company in 1999. He later acquired Superior Galleries in Beverly Hills, which was at the time the largest rare coin auction house in California. After selling Superior Galleries in 2005, Mr. DiGenova moved Tangible to his hometown of Laguna Beach, where we maintain a world-​class gallery.

Tangible Investments founder and president Silvano DiGenova is an authority on the rare coin market, grading, authenticity, and appraisals. In fact, since Silvano co-​founded the renowned Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) and designed the PCGS coin grading standards, you could actually say he wrote the book on coin grading.

Millions of collectors and investors depend on Silvano DiGenova’s expertise every day. He has been featured in Fortune Magazine’s «People to Watch,» quoted on the front page of The Wall Street Journal, interviewed in hundreds of U.S. newspapers, and has appeared several times as a commentator on CNN, FNN, CNBC, the Discovery Channel, the History Channel, and more.

Besides owning and running Laguna Beach-​based Tangible Investments, Silvano is a proud member of the gallery’s surrounding community. He lives in beautiful South Laguna Beach with his wife of thirty years and their two sons.
