Mr. Davy moved to Southern California in 1982. Established Stephen R. Davy Violins in 1985 on South Coast Highway in Laguna Beach.

Stephen studied violin making under Italian luthier Albert Moglie, a master violin maker and the curator for more than 50 years of the Stradivarius collection at the Smithsonian Institution

Stephen Moved to Southern California in 1982. Established Stephen R. Davy Violins in 1992 on South Coast Highway in Laguna Beach. Specializing in fine bow re-​hair and adjustments for optimum sound quality. Davy credits his mentors: Harry Duffy, Karl Roy, Albert Moglie, and Lynn Hannings.

Our store is located on the coast in Laguna Beach and carrys a vast selection of instruments, bows, cases, accessories and sheet music.
