History

Established in 2015.

Athena Day Spa First opened its doors in 1999. Athena has developed a reputation for excellent Skincare, Massage and Body therapies in a tranquil setting focused on healing. It remains a beautiful ocean front sanctuary On site free parking and endless ocean views from the beach front terrace just add to the lure of this luxury boutique spa. Located down town in the heart of Laguna Beach on the ocean side of historic Pacific Coast Highway, the Spa is a gem to experience while enjoying all of Laguna Beach’s treasures.​

Is the day Summer handed me, Nance Jack Garber, the keys to her precious spa, now called Eden Spa and Salon.

I have added a beautiful, new décor and menu, full service hair salon, makeup artist and best of all. lowered prices. We want to be Laguna Beach locals favorite hangout

In 2006 I worked for Summer and her mother Nancy at Athena Day Spa for the summer. I brought along my daughter Eden who was about 12 at the time to change sheets and clean on occasional Saturday’s for $ 5. What a deal. The following year she had her first of many gran mal seizures and our life was forever changed. Summer offered her beautiful spa to me many times but I was 24⁄7 responsible for Eden and she needed me. I created a fund in honor of my 19 year old daughter Eden who passed away 10÷17÷13 from drowning in her shower after a seizure. The Spa and Salon donate 5% of our profits to the Epilepsy Support Network and more. The last thing Eden told her brother the night before she died was she wanted to make a difference in peoples lives. Who knew the next night she started by donating her young healthy body to others. Now we can honor her desire everyday with our salon named after this beautiful and loving soul whom I miss and love so much.

I love this place! I got married at the hotel next door and this is the spa they recommended. I initially wanted to get a massage but when I told Nance that I was getting married, she suggested a special facial that would make my skin «glow». She was right! My mom and sister couldn’t believe how much better my skin looked after I got back to the hotel room. I loved the results so much that I went back the day before we left for our honeymoon. Nance was so sweet and accommodating. I will definitely be back!

This place is amazing! My husband and I went on valentine’s day and they treated us so special. We purchased the romance packaged and we had wine, chocolate covered strawberries, and an amazing view of the ocean. The massages were perfect! I recommend this place to anyone that wants to spend the day being pampered and come out like a brand new person.

I just want to say that the ladies in Eden’s spa and salon were so loving and wonderful to me yesterday.
I am in a very transitional place in my life and was having a hard time emotionally with my haircut, and it became more of a healing service to me from them just allowing me to cry my eyes out while I was there and just sending me love and light during my service. And giving me the space to cry! That was the biggest thing then on top of that I actually liked my hair cut. Thank you ladies for providing the space for me to help me on my new road to recovery and discovery.

I just want to express my deep gratitude to Nance of Urban Skin. I was having a particularly difficult time when I went to her for a massage & facial. I had yet another biopsy for breast cancer, (I had had it twice) so needless to say, I was feeling a bit down. Thankfully, I learned later that the test results were negative. All the while, Nance was very encouraging, kind and compassionate. She took care of my body with such generosity. I have never had such a nice massage before and the oils that she used were beautifully aromatic, which induced great relaxation. Her massage table is a waterbed and is so incredible! She has wonderfully strong hands and gave me the best deep tissue massage that I have ever received. Ever! As if that wasn’t a treat enough, she followed up with an amazing facial. She uses fabulous products and the masque and blue light therapy that she incorporates is so rejuvenating, that you could see the difference after. She took both before & after pictures. The results were astonishing. I look forward to her treatments again and again. She is very knowledgeable and has a tremendous passion for what she does. I will recommend her to all of my friends & family. Thank you, Nance!

I went in for a prenatal massage this week and it was amazing! The water bed massage chairs are so comfortable and Nancy fixed all my problem areas! It was so relaxing and exactly what I needed! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! Not only do they do massages, but they also offer a barber station, spray tans and makeup application, in addition to their top of the line products. Overall this was a great experience and I highly recommend it!

Nance Jack gives the most amazing facials. I have been going to her for over 4 years. It’s more than a regular facial because she does many additional procedures while you are floating on her wonderful waterbed table. The new location is amazing. You can sit and look out over the ocean while having something cold to drink.

My skin always looks great and she has all the latest technology available to make sure you are getting the best treatment possible. From the welcoming décor to the waterbed treatment table and the soothing music, you are in the best hands. My absolute favorite part, though, has to be the outstanding massages she gives while your treatments are setting. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place!
