I got a wonderful mani/​pedi ! Their natural nail polish really lasted 2 weeks. I love going to Laguna and if you’re going to their spa you get to park free at Wells Fargo. I was surprised to read the negative reviews. My experience was all good. The reception attendant was very nice, and my polish lasted 2 weeks!

My boyfriend bought me a Living Social deal for a 60 minute massage at Blu Laguna Salon. When I called, I wanted to set up an appointment for a Saturday afternoon, which they were able to accommodate without any hesitation.
I showed up about five minutes pre-​massage and my massage therapist took me back right away. I was a little uncomfortable having a male masseuse, but I quickly forgot about his gender about five minutes after my massage started since I got so relaxed right away! The great thing about a male masseuse is they are so strong compared to their females counterparts and I tend to believe they give better massages. But, I still have a hard time overlooking the fact that I’m naked in a room with a strange guy with just a sheet separating us. Maybe it’s just me and my insecurities, but it still freaks me out just a little.
The pros of Blu Laguna Salon is they are very accommodating, they have friendly staff, they have at least one great masseuse (Daryl) and the rooms they use for the massage are very tranquil with nice playing music and some nice scents. I like this!
The cons of Blue Laguna Salon is the massage tables/​beds aren’t very comfortable and they only offer a sheet to cover you (most places also offer a blanket). I got a little bit cold halfway through the massage. My massage also only lasted 45 minutes. It was a little frustrating that their offer a 60 minute massage deal in their voucher, but they only honor 45 minutes of that. I wish places wouldn’t do this!
Overall, this place was was good to great to me, despite a few flaws in my eyes. This salon also offers manicures, pedicures and hair cuts. I may come back to try another one of their services!

If you haven’t been, you are really missing a great experience. I got an Amazing haircut, my stylist Chezad was Amazing ! I will be sure to refer everyone to the salon, it truly is an awesome experience.

I came in with a Gift Certificate from Unilocal,that my daughter purchased for me. I was booked soon after for a facial and hair coloring.
I came in first thing for my facial and deceided to do my eyebrows too!
Lauren was sweet, professional and very helpful. I think this was the best facial I have ever had. I was comepletely relaxed, with the soft music. She didnt endless talk,
like I have had before, only when I asked a question. I walked out of my facial so completely satisfied that I knew I was buying girft certificates for my girlfriends so we can come back for a girls day.
My hair color was going to be blond and pink. I was explained to, that the pink would add more pink tones to my already pink face. So, I changed my mind when I saw the purple they had instead. The staff is very friendly, and helpful. It was a busy day and still I got personal service. They have a coffee, tea, hot cocoa service, and if were in the evening I would have had a glass of wine. I have had so many compliments on my hair, its unreal.
I am planning to go back in January with my friends for massages, facials and even try their nail services.

This review is NOT for the services, but for the customer service.
I made an appointment for me and my sister on a Saturday at 11am for mani-​pedis. We arrive only to find out that they have us scheduled 4 hours later and they can’t see us until then. Fine. I understand mistakes happen and they seem apologetic, so I let it slide and reschedule for 11 am a couple weeks later.
Fast forward to our new appt date. We check in with the receptionist and AGAIN they tell us that we aren’t scheduled until several hours later! What the heck is going on at this place?! I cant be going back and forth all day, I have stuff to do. The worst part is that even after I told them this is the SECOND time this has happened to me, they made no effort to make things right, just «sorry». Sorry was fine the first time, but I think the second time calls for some serious butt kissing, maybe a complimentary service upgrade or something. It’s too bad because the place was really cute and if the services were good I was hoping to make this my new go-​to place, but the lack of professionalism was really disappointing. I have asked the coupon site I bought my mani-​pedi from to refund my money because this is ridiculous. Hopefully they will agree and give me my money back.
My advice is if you even bother going to this place, call and verify your appt time before you go.

Excellent salon! Went for a mani/​pedi and the service was great! Going back for a massage next week. The staff is super friendly and very good at what they do. Thank you blu laguna!!:)

I purchased the Living Social offer for a signature facial and massage and was delighted to get in the very day that my voucher was valid. The gal on the phone was very nice as were the receptionist’s upon arrival and departure. This is a very cute salon. I appreciated the free parking at Wells Fargo since I had 2+ hours worth of service. Lauren was an amazing esthetician, this facial was so relaxing I actually fell asleep! what? In a facial? extractions and all… YES! She did not try to hard sell me, she asked how my skin was behaving, suggested micro dermabrasion and that I be sure to use sun screen daily. I asked about a brow wax and Lauren said she could do that, at the end of the treatment. Brow wax wasn’t too terribly painful, she did a clean up but didn’t really shape my brows, nonetheless, I will definitely be back for another facial with Lauren and will happily refer her.
Daryl was the massage therapist, he was also awesome. The spa area is still being renovated so it was awkward going through the courtyard, barefoot in a robe, to use the restroom in the salon. They definitely need some slippers! No biggie though, I understand renovations all too well. The spa was clean and cute, furniture in the lounge area was new and sassy.
Daryl asked the appropriate questions to get to know what I was looking for and checked for satisfaction and provided a really great treatment.
I must say, they need to plush up the massage table, this felt like a Costco table, no table warmer, not even a blanket, just a sheet. Rarely do I get cold so it wasn’t a huge deal but, aesthetics go a long way and a pampering massage feels more pampery when there is softness.
I will definitely return for another massage with Daryl and will try a mani pedi next time. I will definitely refer my hotel guests here!

Clean, wonderful environment. Very knowledgable, friendly staff. Aesthitician, Lauren, was amazing. One of the better facials and mani/​pedis I have ever had. I would definitely recommend.

I purchased a Groupon for them for the Signature Main/​Pedi. I got nothing extra for what they call a «Signature» Mani/​Pedi. I could have received better service and more bang for my buck going to any nail place in the mall.
MAJOR ISSUES: My cuticles were not trimmed, she just ran the cuticle cutter over my nails without doing anything; she did not have flip flops or toe separators for my pedicure & I had to walk on the bare floor, and I barely got a half-​a**” massage on my hands and feet. Seriously, she touched me like she was afraid. No massage for my calves or forearms either like you would usually get at any nail shop. No wonder they went with Groupon, they need clients. I already have chips in my polish and my appointment was only 2 days ago!
POSITIVES: They put money in my meter for me as it was running out and the nail tech was super friendly.
I will not be back for any services they offer. I am happy I did not pay full price. I should’ve gone to Happy Nails for their Deluxe Main/​Pedi. :(

I really really wish I could afford this place to go on a regular basis. But a regularly priced signature mani and pedi at $ 70 total is too steep for the ordinary products used and ordinary techniques and cleanliness of the place. Atmosphere was great and ideal though. Felt like an exclusive salon.
Anna the receptionist was great and kind and Jessica who did my nails was down to earth, easy to talk to and was just what I needed to relax an feel pampered for 1.5 hours.
Premium prices for the not so premium products.
Oh, one more thing. Be careful about the reviews on this place… Lots of one timer reviewers with zero friends… I heard on NPR that about 20% of reviews are bought for, thus the filtering on Unilocal part.

Get a facial from Lauren, she’s fantastic. They have recently hired a bunch of new people so I think some of the bad reviews are from before the new hires. New salon, just getting into their own groove, but the location is beautiful and I think once they get their stride this is going to be a go to spot.

I would NOT recommending going to this salon. My mom and I used a groupon for a mani pedi. Originally, at this specific salon, a mani pedi is pretty expensive — so we thought we were going to get a better than normal experience — but it ended up being quite the opposite. Yes — the girls were very nice — but the actual quality of the mani pedi was less than average. It was a mediocre job from beginning to end. If they want any service whatsoever, I would recommend lowering the prices and improving the quality of work.

I would not recommend Blu Laguna for a mani or pedi. I and a friend purchased a Groupon for a mani/​pedi and the experience was unfortunate from the start. The receptionist was rude, my manicure has nearly entirely peeled and chipped and it’s only day 3 and I would certainly not pay full price for the mani/​pedi.
Here are some specifics to consider:
–The receptionist was just rude. When I rang to make the 2 appointments she sounded disinterested and was unhelpful. My friend and I wanted simultaneous apt and she frankly just said «no» and that she might know at 6pm. She said she’d call me back… and never did.
— When I rang back the next morning to see if we could make simultaneous apt, the receptionist just barked «we’re busy».
— The spa was empty. Granted it was a Tuesday morning but there was a receptionist and a manicurist. They couldn’t have booked more appointmnets if htey wanted… and we ended up having our appointments back to back.
— I will say that the woman who did our mani/​pedis was very kind, which was great.
All in all, I will NOT go back. I’m certainly glad I didn’t pay full price for the mani/​pedi.

Love, love, love my girl Alisa! I will never let anyone ever wax me again but her. I had a horrible experience and left a spa with less skin a few years back thus the reason of being skeptical. Alisa actually coached me through the waxing and was so sweet and gentle. I eventually let her give me a facial and microdermabrasion. Now I’m hooked! I’m in my thirties and never paid much attention to my skin thinking it would be too much up keep. Alisas definitely taught me in a simple easy way. Hope this review helps anyone that’s nervous about skin care. She def does not make you feel self conscious.

Marta is super friendly and excellent at her craft. I am very happy with my haircut and look forward to the next. I highly recommend this place!

I have lived all over the world and have very specific requirements when it comes to waxing and facials. I want high-​quality wax and products, a spa setting that is private, and someone who goes the extra mile to make sure that I look fabulous. Alisa provides all of these things and more! She really thinks about my skin and my needs. My waxing looks amazing and what she has done for my skin goes above and beyond. My skin has never looked more radiant. Alisa herself is fabulous, easy to talk to, and so funny. She will make you feel comfortable regardless of what waxing or skin needs you are requiring. I will go wherever she goes and I am so glad that she is in Downtown Laguna, so close and easy to get to! You will love her!
