My name is Matt Houston and my wife, Kelli, and I own Made in the Shade — Austin Lake Area, Inc. We live in Briarcliff with our three young boys. Before purchasing Made in the Shade, I worked as a restaurant manager for 13 years. As you may know, that requires a lot of hours away from home on the nights and weekends. We were ready for a change!

Fantastic products and the installation was flawless. Matt Houston was easy to work with and his measurements, suggestions, and installation were spot on! He even helped me out of a jam with my apartment shades the dog had chewed when we were waiting for our house to be finished. All I can say is… WOW! I met with 4 different companies to have my carpet replaced but Matt and Kelli won my business from the minute Matt walked in the door. The whole process was fantastic… simple and painless! They listened to what we were wanting and they provided us with exactly what we wanted/​needed. My son was so excited with the new carpet that he said it was like walking on puffy grey cotton candy :) I would recommend Matt and Kelli a million times over! I got a quote VERY quickly and even more important, once I told them I was ready to install… it was done faster than I ever expected!
