Welcome to the #1 Sports Bar in America
In the past 10 years, Walk-On’s has officially become the go-to place for a good time and great food. It’s the perfect sports bar to grab a bite or a beer, bring the family out to dinner, party with your friends, or head to before, during or after the game. We host private parties from small dinners to class reunions and there is no better place around town to cheer your team on to victory (unless you’re in the stadium — and that depends on your seats). So when you feel like relaxing or having a little fun, head on over to see us. We guarantee you’ll get some playing time.
History
Established in 2002.
Jack Warner and Brandon Landry, our founders and walk-ons for the LSU basketball team, played proudly for the Tigers, driven by the team camaraderie and their true love of the game.
In 2001, on a plane ride home from a game at the University of Tennessee, the floor plan for Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar became a reality on the back of a napkin. Jack and Brandon submitted their business plan for Walk-On’s to a professor for a class project. The professor gave them a C, saying their idea needed some work, which only motivated Jack and Brandon even more. After six banks denied them a loan for Walk-On’s, a seventh bank finally agreed to help turn their dream into reality. Throughout the process of opening Walk-On’s, they discovered their ultimate non-negotiable they still abide by today: never stop trying!
In 2012, Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar was named the #1 Sports Bar in America by ESPN.
