Sunburst Solar Energy is a family owned Bay Area company. CEO David Julius founded the company after years of working as a Bay Area contractor and a desire to do more for the environment. He is dedicated to research and education to keep on top of the latest developments in a rapidly growing industry. David is certified with the California Energy Commission for installing solar. He also holds a C-​46 Solar, C-​10 Electrical and a B General Building Contractor’s License. David lives in the Bay Area with his wife and two children in their solar powered home.

David (of Sunburst Solar) did a roof panel install on my TIC a couple years back and did a great job, working patiently around the demands of my TIC partners, including some post-​install work. Two years later the TIC partners wanted some additional water-​proofing done (even though there have been no leak issues). Not only did David respond to my email within 24hrs, but he and his team came out in less than two weeks and installed the additional leak-​proofing items for free. This kind of customer service is rare. I recommend Sunburst Solar without reservation.

Amazing experience with these guys. Best price quoted on the system output I was targeting. Job started and completed with efficiency and care within days of contract closure. Special shout out to their support crew who did an elegant job with the lilne run from roof to garage despite it hanging outside the house and potentially into my neighbor’s foyer. Handhled me through all inspections and byzantine utility and city contract and rebate processes until checks were in hand. They even upgraded my panels when the lower end versions upon which my original quote was based were not immediately available. Christine and David are customer orieneted, local and believe in and stand behind what they’re doing. What’s not to love? Give ‘em a shout if you want your solar system done right.

Met David a Home Expo and out of all the companies who bid on placing solar panels on our roof, they were the most reasonable. They also meet the requirements to receive the San Francisco solar rebate.
The installation went smoothly and they worked with the roofing company to make it a more coordinate effort.
My only reason for 4 out of 5 stars is that I wished I had a bit more help in filling out all the rebate paperwork. They provided the forms but they really didn’t walk us through it and what the process would be like.
I would recommend to anyone interested in getting solar panels.

David Julius of Sunburst Solar is one of the most trustworthy and honest solar guys out there. He did an excellent job putting up the solar on my house and my neighbor’s house while working through PG&E’s archaic paperwork processes. When a new panel had to be installed and metering system, David patiently explained to me and PGE the process while ensuring that I would not be unduly disturbed by the lack of electricity one very rainy day. While most guys would have called it quits, David persisted and convinced his crew to finish the job in downpour weather conditions.
