Cupcakes here are delish! Icing is perfect, creamy and smooth. The cake never disappoints. Highly recommend the chocolate, carrot, vanilla, red velvet. I’ve never had a bad one. The cakes look fabulous though I’ve never had an occasion to get one. I’m sure they’re as good as the smaller versions.

BEST cupcakes I have ever had! The bacon one is just amazingly good!!! It’s very moist, flavorful, and they put something in the center of the cupcake which makes it so so delicious. Just love their cupcakes.

I live in Nevada. My son is a student at Purdue. I ordered 6 assorted cupcakes from Something Blue to be delivered on his birthday. Their service was excellent: they called him to confirm a delivery time, they were there when they said they would be, and – best of all – they went out of their way to purchase and include a candle in the box at my request so we could sing«Happy Birthday» over Skype and he could blow out a candle. Not that he wanted to, but he appeased his mom. Then we watched him dig in … and it was clear they were delicious. He loved them!!! I highly recommend Something Blue. They went out of their way to make a simple birthday special, so I know they care about pleasing the customer.

Something Blue did both my engagement cupcakes as well as my bridal shower cupcakes and cake. Everything was outstanding! Not only were they a work of art but they tasted amazing! The detail was incredible and I almost didn’t want to eat the cake but glad I did!

Beautiful decorative baked goods! PRESENTATION: Blue Bakery’s products look absolutely amazing. Cakes/cupcakes/cookies are things that you eat with your eyes far before you eat them with your mouth, and they absolutely deliver in the visual department. Check out the facebook page. There are some truly stunning creations! TASTE: The cakes/cupcakes taste good, but not so good that I crave them in my sleep or anything like that. The frosting/icing is clearly designed with an emphasis on appearance rather than taste. Another reviewer said it was almost buttery, and I have to agree with that. The cake itself was moist and melted in my mouth. It was good, but I can’t say it was the best I’ve ever had. PRICE: I cant speak for the pricing on customized cakes and cookies etc, but the price of the cupcakes is fairly expensive. Each cupcake costs $ 3.50. There is a slight discount if you buy a dozen. I think I paid $ 35 for 12. Overall, I would recommend Something Blue Bakery. They are great for dinner parties, special events, etc, I should also mention the fact that this business is locally owned and has a super friendly staff. I called at 4:55(they close at 5:00pm) pm on a friday afternoon and asked for a dozen cupcakes and the lady working stayed open for me. Thanks! I desperately want to give Something Blue 5 stars, because it’s a locally owned business that truly delivers wonderful products. Unfortunately it falls just shy of perfection. While I would absolutely recommend Something Blue, the combination of service, taste, satisfaction, and price isn’t quite at the 5-star level. update(11÷12÷13): I stopped by to pick up a couple of cup cakes last Friday. Unfortunately, the lights were off and the door was locked! The sign on the door clearly stated that the shoppe should have been open — it was around 2:00 pm on a Friday. I don’t care if it’s wal-mart, mcdonalds, or mom n pops local bakery… businesses must be open when their posted hours claim they will be open!

I tried their cupcakes today after seeing the positive reviews on Unilocal.Whenever I travel somewhere new, I always look for some new cupcakes or desserts to try. I was not too impressed with these cupcakes. Although the cake had a pretty good taste, the frosting was not a rich creamy kind. It had a butter consistency which I was not a fan of. The sweets at this shop were very pretty to look at, however, I have yet to find a cupcake at a smaller town bakery as good as Molly’s or Sprinkles, both of which I visit too often in Chicago.

I went here after work one day for some much needed de-stressing cupcakes and that’s exactly what I got! Since it was my first time here, I got three regular-size cupcakes so I can try more flavors. I got the red velvet, chocolate and carrot cake cupcakes. All tasted AMAZING, but the best was definitely the red velvet with the buttercream frosting! The cupcakes were a little expensive to me — $ 1.99 for regular size ones. I prefer them to be cheaper, BUT will still go back if I ever crave cupcakes. They are just so good! Another downside for this place is that they have no dine-in seating. I would love to be able to come here with some girlfriends for cupcakes and drinks!

Had them make two dozen assorted cupcakes last minute on valentine’s day for my brothers after wedding party. They were a huge hit and I got many compliments about the quality. Even my mom, who doesn’t like sweets, raved about the icing. I will definitely use them again for my cake/cupcake needs!

I never write reviews, but I was inspired to do so by this incredible bakery. Cupcakes and whoopie pies are delicious(on the expensive side). Cupcakes come in small and large sizes and flavors change from week to week. We visit weekly! Just wish the place was a little bigger so they could offer more goodies, but they’re primarily a custom cake place. This place is well worth a try!
