My favorite thing about Ravens Roost compared to other places in town is the owners try to keep the garage sale items out.

I love browsing here; even if I don’t get anything. I’ve bought many things from here over the 2 yrs that I’ve been in Lafayette and their prices are affordable and have great condition stuff. The staff is nice and their layout of the store is very neat and not overwhelming like some other antiques stores I’ve been in over the years.

I love Raven’s Roost. I bought a 3 piece bedroom set for about $ 300 dollars — mid century modern, but not any of the big designers. I also bought a dresser for an extra bedroom for $ 250. The prices are reasonable and the selection is great. This is the best antique store in Lafayette. Of course I’m not interested in everything in the store, but most of the unique things in my house have come from Raven’s Roost.

I’m with Diana here on the antique or junk game. Some of the stuff/vendors in here have some great vintage gear. On the other hand, some of the booths seem more like garage sale junk than anything else. Good way to spend some time and it is a big place, so there is a lot of stuff to look through.

This is another large antique mall on the other side of town. If you have a few hours to kill, this is a great place too. My friend and I have this game. It’s called, «Is it primitive, or is it junk?» She taught me to shake the furniture and try to feel the weight. It’s like 50⁄50 here. There’s a lot more furniture here than in most antique shops, and it’s priced reasonably. They also have auctions here, but I hear that you can pay quite a bit with the money crowd that attends. They have some great, large birdcages and terrariums. I like and enjoy this place!
