Planet Ice

Overall the skating rink itself was nice and open and well kept. That’s where the good ends though. The entire experience other than that was very unpleasant. The rink was very disorganized and like a previous reviewer said there were people everywhere speeding on the skates while texting. I was almost hit by reckless people texting several times and the staff does nothing about it. I’m hardly over 21 so usually I’m pretty tolerant of teenagers but some very horribly behaved people were there. Easily 90% of the people there were probably 15 – 19 years old one of which produced a taser and ask my date and I if we’d like to be tased. If there was a better regulatory system on people’s behavior this would’ve been a much nicer experience as the facility was nice but until more rules are set I won’t be returning.

Very unsafe and unorganized. This is the only ice skating rink in Lafayette. We went there Friday night and Saturday night. They admit so many people that the ice gets very crowded. Some teenagers ride very fast and stop quickly, which is unsafe. The staff do not do anything about it. People ride in different directions, however they want, some are on their phones while skating. Needs to be better supervision of the rink.
