Planet Cyclery

Mixed bag here. As for prices on products, hard to beat, especially on Campagnolo. I’ve ordered most of my items from their Amazon or eBay stores. I ordered one item directly and had a couple of questions after I completed my order. Called their 303 Colorado number (toll call) and got an answering machine with a recorded message telling me to press a number depending on my problem. I left a message and they never returned my call. Sent in three emails and they never responded back. they sent an automated email advising me they had received my message and it was being reviewed. Their customer service is zero. However I did get the item I ordered in a timely manner (three days). Campagnolo part was in sealed factory box, brand new. I’m not one to give bad reviews. I’m in my 70’s and have been cycling for 40+ years. I’ve ordered tons of stuff over the internet. The core quality of any business is customer service. Maybe they are in a transition phase after relocating from southern California. I will give them the benefit of the doubt. If I have to order from them again, if possible, order from their Amazon store. Makes it easier to track your packages. Also not sure about their returns. Also don’t know if they are an authorized Campagnolo dealer. My advice is-​great prices, but no way to communicate with them. The good, the bad, the ugly. You pick.

I can’t recommend Planet Cyclery enough for bike gear. They are the cheapest place for getting tubes, tires, chains, jerseys, etc. that I’ve found anywhere. Seriously, after long internet searches for the best prices, I usually end up coming back to Planet Cyclery. Shipping, in my experience, has always been free and fast (like next-​day fast). I bought a used jersey for $ 1.99 with free shipping once… pretty sure they lost money on that one.
Recently I had to return a pair of cleats to them because I decided to go with a different brand. It was a no-​hassle, no-​questions-​asked process. Not something you see from Internet dealers very often.
In theory I like to support my Local Bike Shop, but when Planet Cyclery’s prices are about half what independent brick-​and-​mortar spots are, that loyalty fades fast.

I called these guy to ask some questions about bike parts. the guy on the phone was real nice, talked to me for a good 20 minutes, and seemed to know his stuff. so after talking with him i placed an order on the web page. great prices and shipping was fast. the part came in and it fit perfect. they even sent me some tip help via email that helped also. good job guys…
