Good coffee, fast and friendly service! Very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend!

This place is the best in town. Cheapest, strongest, freshest coffee ever! Staff is super friendly and quick on their feet. Xoxo

I go here because it is locally based. The hours have been reduced during the recent year or so and consequently aren’t open past 9pm on weekdays. What they do well is offer drinks with suggested customised flavors, including the Sucré which makes use of Steen’s Cane Molasses from Abbeville, LA. They have an attractive bar area with granite counter, good lighting to minimize glare, conversation with the baristas. Ceilings are free of those ugly«drop ceiling» tiles, featuring a neutralizing black tone to increase the sense of spaciousness and counteracting the suburban country villa middle-upper class wall finishings and mouldings. Special features I enjoy are the old aerial images of the location in previous decades as this spot once hosted a drive-in movie cinema. Location is on the main bicycling route in Lafayette though bike rack parking can seem sparingly available at times. Only real complaint is that it sometimes gets very noisy, not because of talking in the crowd, but because of the amount of hard surface areas and also because the espresso grinders make a lot of clatter compared to other similar devices when baristas pack the cup before pulling the shot. Also they offer breakfast egg n such sandwiches as well as fruit cups, yogurt parfaits, bagels, tea, pesto turkey, and other usual cookie and scone treats.

Great coffee and loose tea selection(Orleans Coffee Exchange). Spacious dining/hang out/study area. Nice folks, good service. Reasonable prices. Didn’t eat in this visit, but $ 2.50 for the breakfast biscuit; $ 5 for the wrap or sandwich; seems very affordable compared to some other cafes of this style. Muffins/scones/bagels available as well. Also got a free coffee/tea refill :) Some seating out front; a little noisy from morning traffic, but not bothered. Drive thru coffee available also.

Nice place, good coffee. Had to give only 3 stars b/c the girl who takes customers orders is not friendly and curt, actually down right rude! Also don’t understand why they would hang a large sign, front and center, describing«Breakfast Sandwiches», then when you order you are told, «breakfast sandwiches not on weekends». Note it on the sign or take it down.

I stop in here quite a bit, the coffee is good and consistent. My only gripe is for a local business I wish they would stock local baked goods. Their baked goods taste/look like they came from Sams Club, which I suspect is true. The chocolate chip cookie is the only fresh baked item they carry. I wish they would partner up with Sophi P Cupcakes and Great Harvest Bread Co., that would be ideal! Its got a UL vibe with lots of plugs, fast WiFi and 20 somethings connected to electronics. But that makes it quiet, which is nice.

I come here to the point of them pretty much recognizing me, and always get an Oreo mousse. I’m not sure how much money I’ve spent on those god forsaken things. The wifi here is pretty fast and the seating is nice, though sometimes it is packed to the point of people hanging from the rafters(not literally), forcing you to sit outside. Also, it’s across the street from Judice Inn, my favorite place to go when I’m feeling extra peckish. The bathroom is really lovely as well. Pros: Oreo Mousse, Lemon Ginger tea, toasted marshmallow coffee, hot chocolate, ANYTHING those giant cookies chocolate covered strawberries Cons: Gets quickly packed with UL students

The coffee is superb, but the service is quite the opposite. The lady was rude to me on several occasions. I asked her to ice my tea because I didn’t want it hot and she argued with me about that for about three minutes. When I got the tea, it wasn’t even what I ordered.(She didn’t ice it either) There were other instances when she was having personal conversations with a coworker right in front of me, which was uncomfortable.

Not as amazing as I was expecting, based on other reviews. I don’t drink coffee so I cannot comment on that but I had a medium strawberry smoothie and a banana muffin, for a total of $ 7 and some change. The muffin was dry and the smoothie was worth me finishing about half of it. Nothing awe worthy, but maybe I had the wrong things? I had no problems finding a place to sit or getting connected to the wifi so that’s a plus. Overall, I would come back if CC’s was crowded, definitely won’t be a regular stop for me though.

This place is cool. There is a huge selection of freshly baked cupcakes, pastries, chocolate covered oreos(YUM), and other delicious things. It’s near campus, there are scantrons and other various supplies available for students, you’ll never be left searching for an outlet because there are a bunch! The wifi is fast, there is a bunch of seating and the coffee is good. Also, if you buy coffee, you get free refills! The only reason I deducted a star is because of a really terrible night I suffered from drinking some of their slow-drip iced coffee. The stuff is strong and definitely meant for sipping. My advice — stick with a small.

great atmosphere, but too crowded… The frappé was okay, and the coffee was okay. My friend raves about the Samocha, but I’m scared to go back. Who wants okay coffee at a Gi-normous price?!! meh, I’ve had better at McDonalds… seriously…

JSJ puts it’s best foot forward every single time I have visited! All I ever can think is that the atmosphere and coffee are 10 times better than what has become a gray bowl of generic franchised mess. The best aspect is that JSJ supports buying local. Their hours are extended and they also have live music on weekends. Divine.

The thing I love about this place is that it is exactly what every monster starbucks should be, and was probably in it’s infancy. I love community coffee, but this place offers an alternative to CC and still offers the full range of coffee. I met a friend there after a movie and we had lingered, having ordered a coffee and shake. They were nice enough to offer us a cup of strawberry shake to taste. Also, they offer free wifi which is a necessity for me.
