I rarely write Unilocal reviews, but Jason Luban is an exceptional acupuncturist who I have been seeing the past several years. I had what I thought was new shoulder pain. After 4 painful shoulder surgeries, I was panicked. It turned out to be neck pain diagnosed with an MRI by a neck surgeon, who recommended surgery. When he saw my less than enthusiastic response, he cautioned me against a remedy of physical therapy, acupuncture, and a «ninny little traction machine.» By the end of that week, I had a PT specialist, a ninny little traction machine and an appointment with Jason, who had been highly recommended. Fast forward several years, I have been living a pain free life, thanks to Jason and his monthly treatments. He has also helped me avert respiratory illnesses and other aches and pains. I now have a training program with a personal trainer and a very active life, that I never would have thought possible prior to seeing Jason.
His office is a 30 minute commute from my house, but I would drive an hour to get the quality of care that Jason provides. 5 Stars really isn’t enough!

Jason is amazing! I had six months of persistent hamstring pain that prevented me from running and conventional approaches had not provided any answers or relief. Jason was the first professional to provide me with an explanation of what was going on and that it was treatable! He is extremely knowledgeable about Chinese medicine and genuinely interested in his patients overall well being which is why I think he’s so talented at healing. I can not thank him enough for his help in getting me running again!

I don’t write reviews often, but I had to write a review for Jason. Everything that others have said about Jason is true – he is kind, gentle and truly listens.
I first experienced Jason watching my mom get treatment for a pinched nerve. She is elderly and in poor physical shape and the work that Jason did with her helped her tremendously for specific ailments.
After her experience, I made an appointment myself to address less immediate concerns – namely anxiety. Jason was amazing and put me in a state of complete calm. He thoroughly listened to my need. After going to Jason for non-​injury related issues, I have more recently fallen and experienced severe back/​leg pain. After the first session, I felt relief for the first time in 2 weeks and can’t wait to go back.
Jason has a gift and anyone who is lucky enough to experience his practise can sense they are in the presence of peace and healing.

If you need or want to try an acupuncturist, Jason is your man. He is extremely knowledgeable and talented in his area of expertise — between that and his ability to bond with his patients it is not surprising that he has a thriving business. I had never tried acupuncture and he made my venture into this unknown world a real delight. His calm demeanor and ability to explain what he is doing is very soothing… especially to a novice who wasn’t quite sure what to expect.
I will be back to see Jason when the need arises for him to perform his magic again. Try him, not only will you benefit from his talent, you will love his sense of humor.

Jason is an amazing acupuncturist and healer. I highly recommend him for any pain or discomfort you may be experiencing. I was so afraid of the needles, I was sweating with anticipation of pain, yet I felt nothing… except joy as I left Jason’s office. I have been to Jason for a variety of reasons and he always listens, asks questions and then does his miracle work. I am so glad a friend recommended Jason, I wouldn’t consider seeing anyone else.

If you are looking for an amazing acupuncturist, or just an alternative to traditional medicine, you need to make an appointment with Jason. He works wonders! I have been going to Jason for treatment for multiple issues over the past 3 years and I can’t express enough how much he has helped me. At first I was skeptical that Acupuncture wouldn’t work for me, and after my first visit with Jason I was a believer. Jason is the sweetest, most comforting person. He has a great sense of humor, but he also listens to you and your issues and really gives you great insight on how he can treat you through Acupuncture. Believe me, it really works! I have been treated for various stomach issues, inflammation, anxiety, and hormonal issues, etc., and basically within 24 hours of a visit with Jason, I feel like a new person! Jason really is a healer. I refer everyone I know to Jason who has been dealing with ongoing medical issues because he really can help heal the body in ways that traditional medicine doesn’t. Not only is Jason the first person I try to see when I’m having a health issue, he has also become a friend. And then there’s Josie, his sweet, beautiful dog that is always there to greet you in the office. Go in and see both of them, you’ll be happy you did!

Amazing, truly amazing treatments! Jason has helped my husband and myself with every thing… With weekly treatments my husbands Bells Palsy was gone within a month. He also helped him when he had shingle and arthritis pain. I’ve been helped with GURD, bladder issues and healing after a procedure. We go every time we have any imbalance in our well being.

Based on the enthusiastic recommendation of a friend, I had the good fortune to be treated by Jason Luban. I enthusiastically agree with all of his positive reviews and would highly recommend him for acupuncture treatment.
His office is warm and inviting as is his personality. He is eloquent when explaining his work and listened carefully to what I said. I love the music he plays in the background because it contributes to the healthy vibe there.
He helped me with my sciatica pain and with my energy level before and after radiation treatment for breast cancer.
I won’t hesitate to return for future treatments if needed.

I am Vee impressed and please to make a recommendation to Dr. Luban. I made a call to his office on a holiday and he called me back the same day. He left me a voice mail and let me know what times he had fir an appointment. We were able to send him an email to confirm our need for the appointment that same evening. I mention all this as most Drs Do not return calls timely or reply in email. Now my wife went in today in great pain and 90 minutes later half the pain was gone and she felt she could function again. She will be back next week to continue seeing Jason. I am glad he was listed in Unilocal and now I am the 16^th person to say he did a fantastic job. Thank you for your care of my wife.

Jason treated me last week for an acute problem with my right arm. Out of nowhere, upon waking, I could barely move my arm, rotate my wrist, and lifting or straightening my arm was excruciatingly painful. Jason to the rescue. First, he assured me the problem was transient– I would start to improve in a few hours, which was very comforting (although I must admit, I was a bit skeptical). Within a few hours of his treatment I had regained significant mobility, and I was able to return to work the next day. Two more treatments and I am almost back to normal.
I have been treated (and helped) by Jason for a variety of things over the years, but this was the first time I sought his help in an «emergency”– I am not only grateful, but still amazed at the result. Thank you Jason!!!

Jason is awesome. I went to him after struggling to get pregnant for 2 yrs. Well, after 2 months of acupuncture with Jason, my husband and I were suddenly pregnant. He is skilled, professional and funny. I always leave his office in better shape than when I got there. I would give his practice more stars if I could!

Jason is incredible, he helped me solve several problems with my back that nobody else could. I went to several medical doctors, a physical therapist and a chiropractor and they had no idea what to do. He is kind, really listens, knows what he’s doing, and gets results.

Jason is amazingly dedicated to his profession. He makes you feel very comfortable and at ease which is especially important when you are trying something new, not to mention something new with needles :) Jason is very upfront about his limitations and after several sessions working on my foot/​ankle pain from a fracture we were making little progress, he offered to have me go to one of his teachers for help. Unfortunately, I am not very patient and went back to western methods, but I thought his patience, persistence and truly wanting to heal me was admirable. Beyond acupuncture, Jason prescribed some herbal supplements that work wonders on my recurring tonsillitis. I was truly amazed how well they worked and I will continue to use them as long as I still have tonsils! Overall Jason is very helpful and if you are looking for an acupuncturist /​herbalist you should give him a try.

In true «Thelma and Louise» style I drove off a small embankment and rolled my car. I ended up breaking my top two vertebrae aka breaking my neck. I was in physical therapy 3x a week, therapy, massage, and on a hefty dose of very strong pain killers, anxiety meds, and sleep aids. Once I got my brace off there were many other issues to deal with that I never saw coming!
I went to Jason on a family friend’s word that he was the best. I was a bit freaked out by the whole needle thing, but I was willing to try anything to find my old self/​spirit back and ease my pain. Jason soon became my cure all. His bedside/​table-​side manner is amazing, he listens… really listens, and after getting to know you he continues to ask questions and respond accordingly. He also begins to predict and solve. He has ESP when it comes to what my body needs… or at least damn good skills, training, and intuition within 30 seconds of seeing me.
Jason helps my neck, but more importantly he is a pivotal part of re-​energizing my spirit, helping me maintain balance in my body, and continues to assist me during my transition back to the «land of the living.» I have continued to see him weekly, sometimes biweekly, and I always leave feeling better! Always!
My body is very sensitive to meds. I was being «thrown» all sorts of pain remedies that ended up hurting me more than helping me. I respond to this type of Eastern Medicine, and it is the ONLY type of treatment that hasn’t left me feeling any negative side effects.
Jason’s work benefits me in many wonderful ways. Below, I have listed what acupuncture by Jason Luban has done (and continues to do) for me:
— Helped pain of broken neck and later aching back, headaches, and spine area.
— Helped with side effects from Cortisone Epidural Shots in my C Spine for bulging discs.
— Helped with depression, anxiety, and fear (The transition from «Injured Woman» to «Post Injured Living, Working, And Dating Woman» has been a long ongoing transition… whew!)
–After trying to teaching high school full time, this body cried from the long and stressful days spent on my feet… Jason consoles by needles :)
— Helped with cleaning my tortured little body after ingesting heavy doses of pain killers for months at a time. After the pain killer year came the year of muscle relaxants, anti– inflamation pill/​patches, anti-​anxiety meds, and sleep aids.
— Helped me recover in an unheard of amount of time from a mean hangover after a night celebrating my recovery. oops!
— Helps me with PMS, bloating, and other digestive issues
— Helps increase or decrease my energy to find the perfect balance
–Makes me have a love for little black dogs named Josie who play wing-​woman to the acupuncturist.
–Helps my body find and hold a consistent rhythm which enables me to sleep better, and be more productive
I can’t imagine my life w/​o these treatments. Holistic Health/​Acupuncture with Jason has changed my life… He is able to deal with (and heal) many of my health issues that other Dr’s were unable to provide relief for… Now I am a true believer. AMEN!
