History

Established in 1982.

HomesteadCS (Homestead Consulting Services) is the dba of Lafayette Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc.

Since our founding in 1982, HomesteadCS has administered over $ 85 million in programs, counseled more than 11,000 families on housing options, formally educated over 1,800 families on the responsibilities of homeownership, and renovated and/​or financed more than 1,400 units of affordable housing. Over 1,170 low-​to-​moderate income families have purchased homes through our programs and our Foreclosure Counseling has helped more than 2,450 families understand their options to avoid foreclosure.
