Same menu, diff. local. This is the best italian you will find in the area. So consistent.

Hate to see them leave — this was as good as it gets when it comes to italian food. Go to New Iberia and see them at their new location.

This place has some of the best Italian food around. I’ve been to New York and other place that have good food and this business can hang with the best of them. The service is phenomenal and so is the food.

It’s a great place to have good Italian food but the appetizers are not worth getting. Freshest breads, desserts and great service but I was very disappointed in the appetizer. The place is dated.

Wow… what an unexpected surprise this place was. We got here by accident, as we were cruising up Amb Caffery yesterday looking for an Italian place to eat at with the help of the Unilocal application on my phone. We found Fratelli’s over by Lowe’s, sat down and ordered a large pie(that’s a pizza to you LA people). I’ve been disappointed so many times with pizza in Lafayette — Deano’s, Alessi’s, Mellow Mushroom, etc that I did not have high hopes for the large pie that we ordered. When it appeared at our table about 15 minutes later, I was looking at something beautiful that I knew was going to be good — and it was. Excellent crust, very good mozzarella cheese, dynamite sauce, added up to a superior pizza, one that I would not be disappointing with if I had ordered it in NY. Not only was the pizza good, but so was the chicken parm sandwich that I ordered. Also, my dinner partner, who is from Lafayette, also agreed with me that this is the best pizza she’s had here. The superior Fratelli’s pizza proves my theory that people in Lafayette have no clue what a good pizza is, because if they did, this place would be packed just like Deano’s and Alessi’s usually are, not less than half full on a Saturday night. I don’t know if Fratelli really rated five stars, but I wanted to boost their ratings a bit as I think they were unfairly reviewed by a bunch of people who have no clue what Italian food is. PS… the owner of Fratelli’s can thank me later as my review brought them from 2 ½ stars to 3… Maybe that will help their business.

Love this place. Best chicken parm I’ve had in years. This is truly authentic Italian. Love it! Love it! Love it!

Such a disappointment. This was our place. We went there every chance we could. We loved the bread, shrimp and spinach dip. Loved the pastas and sauces. You could tell the mozzarella was fresh. But, when we went in late one day and one of the staff members decided to ruin our evening, the owner later denied anything was wrong and denied his staff was at fault even when we brought evidence of the infraction. We didn’t want anything from the owner other than some disciplinary action, but he told us we were wrong even though he wasn’t present when it happened. He lost our business. We’ll never go there again.

PROS : Our waitress was excellent. She was Very nice, constantly checked on us and gave us our space to have a nice time. I ordered the chicken primavera, the sauce was very good. The sangria was decent CON: We ordered the stuffed mushroom app, all 4 mushroom caps were still very undercooked. We both had taken one to eat and both were raw and cold. We asked our waitress to send it back, she came back apologizing that they only made 2 correct since we had taken 2 that were still undercooked. We were not happy about that ATALL. My friend ordered the chicken Marsala and it was very watery and basic. Sadly, We will not be a returning customer.

The food was excellent: fresh and authentic. The atmosphere is good. Also, I find the prices to be very low compared to other restaurants in the Lafayette area. The person who thinks the food is overpriced must be used to eating at McDonald’s. The service was attentive without being obtrusive. Overall, a really good experience both times I’ve eaten there.

I do not know if they changed the cook but the food has been suffering and portions have been getting smaller and smaller. Looking for another Italian place to visit.

Fratelli’s is owned by the same people who owned Govani’s in Breaux Bridge. The food is excellent.

Been meaning to try this new place and was surprised after seeing sone of the comments here, we had the shrimp and artichoke dip which was creamy and awesome as well as the cheese pizza which was fantastic, a really good twist. Service was just okay, a little hard to understand but attentive

Went there to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. The shrimp and lobster were both over cooked-kinda like chewing on rubber. But that wasn’t the worst-we saw a rat run across the dining room floor.

Bread tasted like day old stuff. Presentation was sloppy. We ordered the tortellini, it was very good. We also had veal Marsala, it wax good, but veal was fatty. Over all we will not be back. New restaurant, will not be open long if food does not improve. We did not try pizza, if the bread was stale… LOL

0 stars if I could. Walked up to a dirty table and booth to have it cleaned and it remain dirty. Received our food I had the shrimp tortilini and my husband had the seafood combo #2 both of our shrimp were rubbery and over cook as well as his clams being over cooked. Decided to leave to go eat somewhere else after talking to the owner and feeling disrespected. Got a bill for the bread that was brought to our table with out us asking for it… But had to pay for it anyway. But hey. The water was decent!

This place was really good. Everything tasted authentic and natural(not frozen). Portion sizes weren’t very up to par with prices, however. The alcohol is a bit expensive for a restaurant. Service was perfect, but it was very slow when we got here. So, I’m not sure what it’s like during busy hours. The manager(possibly owner) was really interactive with our table and very friendly. I wouldn’t think of going back for an every day thing because of the higher than average prices. Great place to eat nonetheless.

The ambiance is a little posh for a grill. My boyfriend ordered the meatball sub, he said the meatballs tasted like frozen processed meat balls. I ordered chicken fettuccine alfredo. The alfredo sauce was very runny, not thick and creamy. The chicken wasnt really seasoned. The garlic rolls were crispy on the top and didnt really taste of garlic. Overpriced for the quality of food. I want to also note though that they have nice clean spacious restrooms, which is important to me.

Appalling food, indifferent service. Run, do not walk — far away from this restaurant.
