Our Biography

Flowers & More by Dean is a family owned and operated florist & gift shop. Dean’s dream became reality when she opened the doors for business on November 16, 1998. She took a leap of faith, being a passenger with God as her driver. Along with her «built in staff»; husband, Bubba, and 4 girls, Tonya, Tara, Tina, & Tessie, Flowers & More by Dean offers Acadiana the freshest flowers designed by Dean herself, and her daughter Tina Guidroz; both Louisiana State licensed Florists.

We offer the latest trends in floral design, along with traditional, contemporary, tropical, & more. What sentiment would you like to express? Tell us, and speak through a beautiful floral arrangement!

Meet the Manager

Tina G.

Manager

The flame was lit in 1998 when her mother opened her flower shop. Working at a pizza place and attending UL, she gladly accepted the position as front clerk with quite a few slashes and titles behind it. Growing up watching her mother and then experiencing the flower shop business hands on, the flame turned into a fire. In 2000, she took the Louisiana State florist exam and obtained her retail florist license. She has since worked along side her mother managing Flowers & More by Dean. She attends as many shows and conventions that she can while managing the flower shop and a family. She is the mother of a 4-year-old «diva» who she hopes to make a 3rd generation florist out of. Her passion for family and friends is portrayed in many of her designs.

3rd place Designer of the Year in 2011, 2nd place in 2012 for Louisiana State florist association, Board of directors LSFA, Society of American florists, and is currently studying for CFD with the ultimate goal of AIFD.
