Took my VW there when the coil pack failed. The staff is honest, friendly, and really know what they are talking about. They remembered my name when I went to pick the car up as well. They have made a loyal customer out of me.

Avoid this place. I brought my elderly Mother’s PT Cruiser in here for a water pump, after getting it back, she drove it to the mall, it over heated. Switched it out with my car on Friday evening, it over-​heated again coming back down Sagamore. Next day found the fan unplugged, and the AC unplugged, with the connector broken, now the check engine light is on with the codes for cam and crank positioning sensors showing.

Initally I took my car to Beck Muffler and they cost me time and money. Decided to try this place after Becks couldn’t figure out my problem was bad spark plug cables. Custome Tune Up had my car fixed same day, and were very friendly! I would highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of good mechanics!

Very satisfied with my experience here. I had a few minor problems that they fixed quickly and on the spot (they quoted me an hour, they got it done!), and for a very reasonable price. I like how they are very patient and sincere on the phone and actually care about the customers and remember your name. When I have car troubles in Lafayette, I know where to come back :)

I moved to West Lafayette in ‘97 and asked my new co-​workers where they took their cars for repair, and the overwhelming majority vote was for Custom Dyno. This is the epitomé of a small, local business that has both their brains and heart fully engaged in their biz. First of all, they have all the latest diagnostic gear along with a super-​qualified, knowledgeable team. They always get it right. What’s more, they’ve earned my trust. Now on three occasions over the last 13 years of being their customer, they’ve told me that my car did NOT need a repair yet and charged me nothing for their time. This is the most refreshing place business ethic I’ve ever experienced.
You can also see how much they care about what they do by the fact that their shop — a small, quaint little place — is impeccably clean and neat. You know how some shops make you cringe because they’re so grimy; this is NOT the case here in the least. You can see their pride in their biz from top to bottom.
Let’s face it, car problems can be a drag, but don’t amplify your problem by going to the wrong shop. Go to Custom Dyno and Dave will take care of you, says this long-​term, satisfied customer.
