Bestway Insulation

Got a quote from Adam with Bestway Insullation and he was very professional and nice and knew what he was doing, he also was very honest! I needed my unfinished basement walls re-​insulated with the vapor barrier and needed it done like asap because we has new tenants moving in that week… They squeezed me in because they were booked up which was so nice of them! Dave came after he worked all day and worked overtime and was sooo sweet and I felt comfortable with him and he did a fabulous job!!! I would recommend them any day! — Bremmer

I’ve contacted Bestway several times to get a quote on sound deadening in a multifamily unit. They haven’t returned calls or retrieved answers to questions on multiple occasions. Not cool.

Hands down, the worst company we’ve worked with on our house. I could write a novel about everything that went wrong. I’ll start with the fact that they had Xcel send them the rebate made out to them and then never thought to tell us or send us a check. It took six months of back and forth and it didn’t end until we threatened litigation.
The general thing to keep in mind is that they are not really a legitimate business in that they are not organized and professional. Here is a list of everything that went wrong.
1. They re-​scheduled us without telling us and only kept the time when I threatened to cancel the job
2. They had agreed to complete the work to qualify us for the rebate but when they showed up, the installer wasn’t prepared to do the work necessary for the rebate and wanted us to pay extra above the initial quote.
3. They quoted us one day and it took two to complete the work
4. On four different occasions, I was told they would call me back that day and they never did.
5. They were 1.5 hrs late the day of the appointment
6. They called me on three different occasions between 8 and 9:30pm on a Sunday
7. When trying to get our rebate, they claimed their phone and computer lines were down. When threatened with a lawyer, they suddenly had access within 20 minutes
8. There was never an apology for not sending us the rebate check
9. Their machine broke when they came to do the job (not entirely their fault, these things happen)
10. They popped an outlet in our house that required repair (again, not entirely their fault but it could have started a fire)
11. They were incredibly unprofessional over the phone which echoes other reviews on here
12. The person you needed to reach was never available. For example, you call to confirm the appointment time, the person with the schedule isn’t there. You want to talk about payment, the finance person is unavailable.
13. They never submitted the paperwork for our rebate. We had to re-​send them the paperwork since they lost it and then we still had the issue of them getting the rebate made out to them.
Need I say more???

I hired this company to replace insulation in my basement. The crew showed up and installed the insulation, but a week later the tape joints separated. I was selling the house, so it was critical that the job came out right. I called and talked to the ‘owner’ NUMEROUS times, and every time he said that he would get a crew out there to repair the faulty work.
My calls were never returned. I was promised warranty service about five times, and was never contacted again. Therefore, I would say the business ‘owner’ is a liar and a thief. He lied about fixing the faulty work, and stole money from me by giving shabby service at a premium price. Avoid this business, unless you like getting cheated and lied to.

I have to take the time to drop a Thank you to the Team of Bestway Insulation Service. They came out and did a Insulation Removal for us on a project from «Hell». The service team did a great job in the insulation removal and CLEANED UP … WOW is all I can say… They did a great job for us. If you need a Insulation Removal done these are the guys to do it for you. I would recommend them and we will use there service again.

Normally I would have left 4 stars because it took a few calls to get someone to call me back to get a quote, but once I finally got them out here, the results and workmanship were amazing… very much worth 5 stars. Ron, Roger and Roger were thorough, respectful, and conscientious about sealing everything. They took 2 FULL days and did a fantastic job. I had gotten 3 quotes. These guys were in the middle, but seemed to be most capable and willing to work with the very important Xcel rebates (which made all the difference between us being able to do it or not) Ron took his time and explained everything they were doing and why. He was excited to do the Blower Door test at the end and show us the huge change in results. (our house used to leak like a sieve) I was very impressed with instant results with the sound-​proofing alone. I’m finally not scared to try and heat my house this winter.

I had asked to get a quote on insulating my basement and the very heavy lady that came over started arguing with me about cyanide gas and how we will only have 30 seconds to get out before we die if we use the extruded polystyrene or spray foam insulation. I was just looking for a quote and not a lecture on fire safety. POOR Business!
